50. The Proposal

“Princess? Would you go on a date with me this weekend?” Chaeyeon asks while playing with Sakura’s fingers.

“Hmm, what’s the occasion?” Sakura asks as she enjoys the feeling of Chaeyeon playing with her fingers.

“Nothing, I just wanted to go on a date that’s all,” Chaeyeon said as she smiles at Sakura.

“Ok, let me check my schedule and we’ll go on that date,” Sakura said as Chaeyeon smiles in glee.

A few days passed and the long-awaited day is here. Chaeyeon had gotten dressed up in a simple black dress shirt tucked into her blue jeans with black sneakers to complete the look. She had told Sakura to dress up a little bit and that she would pick her up from the hospital once she drops Wonyoung off at Eunbi and Hyewon’s place.

“Wonyoung, wish me good luck,” Chaeyeon said as they were driving to Eunbi and Hyewon’s place.

“Why Mama?”

“Because I’m going to ask your Mommy to marry me and we’ll be a real family from now on,” Chaeyeon answered once she parks the car.

“Really!? Like the Princes and Princesses in my princess movies!?” Wonyoung asks as she couldn’t contain her excitement.

“That’s right, so can you wish me good luck,” Chaeyeon asks as they stopped in front of their destination.

“Yes! Good luck Mama!” Wonyoung said before kissing her Mama’s cheek and running inside her aunties’ place.

Chaeyeon and Eunbi exchanged some ‘good luck’ and ‘take care of Wonyoung’ before Chaeyeon got back into her car and drove to pick up Sakura.

When Chaeyeon got to the hospital, Sakura was already outside waiting for her. She got out to greet her Princess, but stop when she saw her. Sakura was wearing a simple light pink dress, complementing what Chaeyeon is wearing. Seeing Sakura in front of her wearing a simple dress made her fall in love with the Angel all over again. She quickly snapped out of her trance before complimenting Sakura’s beautiful and then leading her to the car for their date.

Chaeyeon drove them to nice and quiet steakhouse recommended by the one and only Dr. Kang Hyewon, who knows all the good restaurants in town. They sat at their table, talking to one another about their day before their dinner came out. They continue talking, eating, and enjoying each others’ company. Once they finished, Chaeyeon drove them to the park where it all began for a walk.

“Princess, are you having fun?” Chaeyeon asks once she grabs the coat she brought and draped it over Sakura’s shoulder before the walk hand in hand.

“I’m always having fun whenever I’m with you,” Sakura said as she smiles loving at Chaeyeon.

“Princess, did you know we’ve met each other a year now?”

“Really?”

“Yes, and I’ve had love you for just as long,” Chaeyeon said before helping Sakura sit on the swing.
