Lee Chaeryeong lived in a small apartment in the big city called Seoul, she had a pretty peaceful and simple routine everyday. She didn't have any annoying neighbours since no one else lived beside her apartment. 

Everyday Chaeryeong would wake up, go to work, come home and finally sleep. 

Occasionally she'd meet up with a friend or her beloved sister, Chaeyeon.

Some people would call her life boring or uninteresting but Chaeryeong didn't mind it, she liked how simple it was and she plans to keep it that way. She liked sipping on her hot coffee every morning at 6am before work, she liked walking down the same road everyday while heading to work, she didn't mind doing the usual paperwork she had to do everyday and going to bed at exactly 10pm after a day had passed.

It was simple and Chaeryeong liked it that way.

After a couple more months of going through the same routine, Chaeryeong finds out that she'll finally be having a new neighbour. She wasn't exactly excited but she was curious about it. She wonders what her neighbour would be like, whoever it is, she hopes it's someone nice and most importantly quiet.

And Chaeryeong's hopes were crushed. 

Everyday while Chaeryeong would be in bed trying to fall asleep, she'd hear the voice of her neighbour singing to BLACKPINK's Don't Know What To Do with the faint sounds of the shower running. Chaeryeong never realised how thin the walls of her apartment were until now.

When Chaeryeong first heard her neighbour singing, she actually thought the girl had a decent voice but as more days go by, Chaeryeong started to lose her sanity after listening to the same voice singing the same exact song.

Chaeryeong wishes whoever singing would shut up for just one day but everyday the girl would sing the same song and Chaeryeong was getting incredibly annoyed and frustrated.

It's been 3 weeks since her neighbour moved in. Chaeryeong has officially lost her mind, her original peaceful and simple routine was ruined. Chaeryeong had trouble falling asleep since her neighbour took at least 30 minutes to shower and it had to after 10pm.

Chaeryeong started getting up late and showing up at work later than usual, she looked grumpy and unhappy from the poor sleep she'd get every night. Dark eye circles and thick eyebags started to form under her eyes and Chaeryeong needed more than 3 cups of coffee to stay awake at work. She desperately needed some good sleep.

Chaeryeong stares at her celiling, trying to use her pillows to block her neighbour's voice but it barely did anything. After tossing and turning for awhile, Chaeryeong throws her covers off and heads out to knock on her noisy neighbour's door. She had enough with her neighbour and didn't care that her hair was a mess and she was in her dinosaur pajamas and bunny slippers, she just wanted one night of good sleep. 

Chaeryeong grumbles in annoyance as she raises her fist and knocks on the door, she could still hear the girl's voice and the shower running. She stands there and waits for a moment, tapping her feet impatiently. She deicides to knock once more and hears the girl shout, "Just a minute!" 

Chaeryeong waits and after awhile and the door was swung opened which startled her a bit. 

Chaeryeong looks up and was about to give her neighbour an earful but instead her jaw was left hanging open when she saw the person in front of her. 

The girl looked quite young and undeniably stunning eventhough her blonde hair was wet and all she was wearing was a white bathrobe. The girl stood there holding the door open with a small smile, "May I help you?" she asks as her smile widens.

Chaeryeong finally snaps out of her trance, she suddenly felt insecure about what she was wearing and she figured her neighbour thought she looked ridiculous. 

"I uh I..." Chaeryeong surprises herself by stuttering in front of the gorgeous girl and the tips of her ear started heating up from how embarassed she felt. 

Her neighbour chuckles from how cute Chaeryeong wsd, she found Chaeryeong's slightly oversized dinosaur pajamas and bunny slippers adorable and she looked so cute standing there fidgeting with her hands. 

"You okay?" The girl asks with a worried expression since Chaeryeong seemed pretty nervous,

"Oh, yeah! I'm fine, I'm good." Chaeryeong immediately replies, 

Chaeryeong tries to pull herself together, she felt like she embarassed herself enough already.

"Anyway, I was hoping you could tone down your singing? I've been having trouble sleeping lately because of your voice." Chaeryeong finally told the girl in front of her. 

"Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't realise how loud I was." The girl apologises with a sheepish smile,

"I'll tone down my voice, sorry about that." The girl apologises once again and Chaeryeong shows a small smile,

"It's fine, I should head back now." Chaeryeong says while she walks away, she really wanted to go back and hide in her blankets in embarassment. 

"Wait!" Chaeryeong hears the girl call out to her, she turns around curiously.

"I didn't catch your name." The girl asks with a bright smile, bright enough to light up the dark hallway of their apartment.

With a small smile, Chaeryeong replies, "Chaeryeong. Lee Chaeryeong." 

The girl's smile somehow widens and becomes brighter than before, "Shin Yuna." 

"Good night, Yuna." Chaeryeong turns back around to head back in her apartment,

"See you around, good night!" Chaeryeong hears Yuna bid back and her door close shut, the small smile on her face couldn't help but widen as she glances at Yuna's apartment once more before opening her own and heading back in.

Yuna actually did stop singing and Chaeryeong was able to sleep better but she couldn't help but think about Yuna. Her bright smile and beautiful eyes that you can easily drown in, Yuna could not leave Chaeryeong's mind. She never really saw the blonde beauty around much, sometimes Chaeryeong would glance at Yuna's apartment door when she's back from work, hoping the girl would appear at that timing. 

 

And maybe it was a coincidence that Yuna works as a delivery girl and had to send a package to Chaeryeong's work place one day. 

 

"Chaeryeong, could you get the package that just arrived?" Chaeryeong's manager shouts from her office,

"Sure thing!" Chaeryeong shouts back as she gets up from her seat to get to the front door. 

Chaeryeong swings the door open and was met with someone's back turned to her and a head of blonde hair that was too familiar. 

"...Yuna?" Yuna immediately turns around from the sound of her name. When she saw it was Chaeryeong, a smile automatically forms on her lips. 

Yuna wore simple black jeans, a uniform like shirt and a white cap that suited her perfectly. It was an outfit that's just like any other delivery person out there but somehow, Yuna looked incredible it in. To put it simply, Chaeryeong thought she looked cute.

"Oh hey Chaeryeong! Didn't know you worked here." Yuna keeps on her usual bright smile as she hands Chaeryeong a document to fill out. 

"You're a delivery girl?" Chaeryeong asks curiously while she scribbles down whatever information was needed and hands it back to Yuna.

"Yep!" Yuna replies, popping the 'p' at the end.

"Here you go." Yuna places the package onto Chaeryeong's small hands, 

"Thanks, Yuna." Chaeryeong thanks her with a small smile.

"No problem. Also, you look really pretty today!" Yuna confidently compliments Chaeryeong while intently looking at every single detail of her face. The light natural makeup and the pretty earrings Chaeryeong wore, the simple yet casual work attire that consisted of a striped button up top and a black pencil skirt, she looked stunning.

Chaeryeong could feel the heat rise up to her neck and cheeks. A faint blush now painted her pale cheeks, she felt flustered from the sudden compliment.

"Thank you, you look really cute yourself." Chaeryeong shyly compliments back, she looks down to her feet from embarassment.

Yuna widely smiles, the compliment had made her day. And the way Chaeryeong got shy and how adorable she looked made Yuna smile even wider.

"Thanks! I gotta go deliver some more packages, I'll see you around." Yuna flashes another sweet smile as she leaves, fixing her cap while walking away.

Chaeryeong stands there, watching Yuna walk away until her silhouette couldn't be seen anymore before going back in with the package in her hands.

Her wide smile and positive energy she radiated didn't go unnoticed by her co-workers and manager, it was a bit peculiar but they said nothing.

Chaeryeong didn't see Yuna for awhile after that until she found herself standing in the same elevator with her while on her way to work. 

"Hey Chaeryeong!" Yuna greets her with her signature bright smile that Chaeryeong loves.

"Hi, Yuna." Chaeryeong greets back and shows a small smile as she presses the button to which floor she was going, it was the floor right above Yuna's.

"Where are you heading to this early?" Yuna asks Chaeryeong as she glances at the time on her phone.

"Work. What about you?" 

"I have a few packages to deliver this morning." Chaeryeong nods her head as a reply, there was a comfortable silence as the elevator continues to move.

Light elevator music in background fills the air,

"So uh, I was wondering if you're free anytime soon, like after work? I have extra movie tickets and it'd kinda be a waste if I don't use them..." Yuna asks, breaking the silence while she fiddles with the hem of her shirt, she had a sheepish smile as she averts her gaze from Chaeryeong, too shy to look at her.

Chaeryeong was slightly taken aback from the sudden invitation but a warm smile forms on her lips, the tall once confident blonde was shy and had pink tinted cheeks and she looked adorable.

"Yea, I'm free after work." Chaeryeong replies which instantly put a bright smile on Yuna's face.

"Great! What time do you get off?" Yuna asks with an excited tone.

"Around 5:30." 

"Perfect, I'll pick you up later at work." Yuna's smile could easily outshine the sun and it was so contiguous that Chaeryeong herself was smiling from ear to ear.

The elevator ding'ed open and Chaeryeong had to take her leave.

"I'll see you later!" Yuna waves Chaeryeong goodbye with a wide smile and Chaeryeong lightly waves back as the elevator doors shut close.

Work hours went by longer than usual, Chaeryeong kept glancing at the clock that hung on the walls. She felt restless and excited. Strangely, she was looking forward to seeing Yuna later. Perhaps it was Yuna's beautiful smile that she's drawn to or the way Yuna makes her day a little brighter whenever she sees her eventhough she barely knows her. 

It was a strange and unfamiliar feeling but Chaeryeong didn't mind it.

Soon enough, the clock struck 5:30 and Chaeryeong starts to hurriedly pack up her belongings, she wanted to leave as quick as possible, she didn't want to keep Yuna waiting.

The moment she left the building Yuna was already right there, leaning against a white van labelled with a delivery company's name. 

Yuna shows her usual smile and signals her to come over. Chaeryeong walked towards her, excitement in her continues to grow as she nears the blonde girl. 

Yuna was now out of her work clothes, instead she wore casual jean shorts and a 'The Little Mermaid' themed shirt to pair with it and her black jacket tied around her waist.

"Hey, ready to get going?"

Chaeryeong nods with a smile and Yuna unlocks her van and opens the door for Chaeryeong and bows,

"M'lady, please have a seat." Yuna pretends to be like a gentlewoman and Chaeryeong chuckles from the adorable act. 

Yuna quickly hops into the driver's seat after Chaeryeong has settled herself into the van, the engine roars to life when she turns it on and she starts driving to the movie theatre. 

"Is this your company's van?" Chaeryeong asks curiously and Yuna tones down the radio to hear her better,

"Yea it is, sorry it's a little messy at back from all the packages." 

"It's fine, I don't mind it."

"So, what's it like being a delivery person?" Chaeryeong continues the conversation while Yuna focuses on the road.

"It's nothing much, sometimes people hit on you but it's nothing special." Yuna glances at Chaeryeong for a moment to flash a charming smile before looking straight ahead again to focus on the road.

The simple smile was already enough to make Chaeryeong turn away to look out the window to try to hide the blush on her cheeks and make her heart beat a tad bit faster.

It's not Chaeryeong's fault that Yuna just has one of the most attractive smiles she has ever seen.

They reach their destination in no time, Yuna turns off the engine and unlocks the car. Chaeryeong was about to get off but Yuna stops her by grabbing her arm gently,

"Hold on for a second." Yuna quickly takes off her seatbelt and  leaves the car, she runs to Chaeryeong's side just to open the door for her.

Chaeryeong watches Yuna with a smile as Yuna runs around the car, 

Yuna opens the door and Chaeryeong thanks her with a chuckle,

"Y'know I can open doors myself right?" Chaeryeong says with a teasing tone,

"Well, I just wanted to open them for you." Yuna adorably replies with a bright smile and Chaeryeong could already feel the heat rush up to her cheeks. 

The way Yuna's smile could reach her eyes and how sweet her voice is, Chaeryeong couldn't help but swoon.

At that moment, Chaeryeong realises something.

Am I on a date with Yuna? Chaeryeong asks herself, realisation hits her like a truck. 

Chaeryeong suddenly spaced out and Yuna was a bit perplexed,

"Chaeryeong?" Yuna waves her hands in front of Chaeryeong's face, hoping to snap her out of it. But Chaeryeong didn't react at all and Yuna started to get a bit worried.

"Chaeryeong?" Yuna shakes her shoulder and Chaeryeong finally snaps out of it.

"You okay?" Yuna asks, worry evident in her eyes.

"Y-yeah, I'm good. Sorry about that." Chaeryeong was flustered, she didn't realise how caught up she was in her thoughts. 

"It's fine, I was just worried."

Yuna checks the time on her phone, her eyes widen when she saw the time. "Crap, we're going to miss the movie if we don't hurry!" 

Yuna grabs Chaeryeong's wrist and rushes into the movie theatre, there was already a pretty long line at the snack bar. 

The two of them quickly step in line to buy some snacks. While waiting, Chaeryeong also realises that she doesn't even know what movie they're watching.

"Oh yea, I forgot to ask earlier, What movie are we watching?" 

"Oh it's the new Annabelle movie that came out awhile ago." 

Chaeryeong freezes, she isn't exactly the best with horror movies, she usually avoids them most of the time.

Yuna notices Chaeryeong was looking uneasy,

"If you're not okay with it, we can watch something else." 

"No, no it's fine. You already bought the tickets, it'd be a waste." Chaeryeong shows a nervous smile but Yuna wasn't convinced,

Before she could say anything else, they were already at the front of the line. 

They both got popcorn and drinks which Yuna insisted to pay but Chaeryeong didn't want Yuna to.

They end up having a mini argument on it and while Chaeryeong wasn't looking, Yuna quickly slid her debit card to the cashier. Before Chaeryeong realised it, the payment had already went through. 

Yuna shows a cheeky smile while Chaeryeong pouts,

"Well, I'm definitely paying next time!" Yuna couldn't help but burst out in laughter from how cute Chaeryeong looked with her pouty lips and puffed up cheeks. 

"How about we go to a nearby café after this?" Yuna asks while popping a popcorn into ,

"I'd like that." The pout on Chaeryeong lips slowly forms into a small smile instead since she could spend a little more time with Yuna.

 

They enter the cinema after handing their tickets to the worker, it was almost pitch black. The intro of the movie already started while they were trying to find their seats.

They finally plop themselves down after they find their seats, they get themselves comfortable and start watching the movie. 

Chaeryeong was already nervous eventhough nothing has happened yet, her palms were getting sweaty and clammy while she tries to distract herself by stuffing with popcorn. She steals a couple glances from Yuna who seemed calm, she was now wearing her jacket that was once tied around her waist.

Chaeryeong tries to focus on the movie but now they were at the part where things always go wrong, one of the girls was snooping through the suspicious basement and before she knew it, paranormal things were happening.

The piano was playing by itself and Chaeryeong wanted to hide because she already knew a jumpscare was coming. There was a moment of silence before the jumpscare happened and Chaeryeong was very fidgety during the few seconds of silence, she could feel her heart beat going faster and faster.

The jumpscare finally happened and of course, Chaeryeong screams from surprise and terror. That scene might haunt her for awhile. She instinctively latches onto Yuna arm but immediately pulled away and apologised after realising what she was doing.

"Hey, it's okay. You can hold my hand if you need to." Yuna shows a reassuring smile which helped Chaeryeong calm down a little.

Chaeryeong hesitantly takes Yuna's hand, which was bigger than hers. Chaeryeong's ice cold hand warms up with the warmth Yuna's hand radiated, she didn't realise how cold she was until now.

Yuna abruptly takes her hand away, the missing warmth made Chaeryeong feel empty. Yuna wordlessly takes off her jacket and drapes it over Chaeryeong's shoulders.

Chaeryeong looks at Yuna in confusion,

Yuna simply flashes another charming smile and Chaeryeong looks away, thankful that the dark can hide her obviously flushed ears and cheeks.

"Thank you." Chaeryeong quietly mutters and Yuna manages to catch that, Yuna chuckles before saying, "You're welcome."

The way Yuna naturally takes her hand again and intertwines their fingers together, it made Chaeryeong feel comfortable, a tiny smile forms on her lips, she forgot she was watching a horror movie for a moment before another jumpscare takes her by surprise, she shuts her eyes tight, scared to see whatever that was displayed on the screen.

Yuna lightly squeezes Chaeryeong's hand in reassurance and it makes her feel a bit more relaxed, she felt safer with Yuna's hand in hers, it felt like nothing could hurt her now. She slowly opens her eyes, feeling braver and more determined to watch this movie.

After a bit more screaming and squirming, the movie was over before she knew it. 

Chaeryeong leaves the movie theatre a little shaken up but it wasn't as bad she thought it'd be. Yuna was still smiling angel, it was like she wasn't even scared at all.

"Weren't you scared at all?" Chaeryeong was in disbelief, how could someone be so unaffected by that?

"Because I know I'm way stronger than them." Yuna puffs out her chest and tries to act tough and Chaeryeong couldn't help but laugh and roll her eyes.

Yuna smiles at the sight of Chaeryeong laughing because of her, she felt some sort of satisfaction for being the reason Chaeryeong was laughing.

The sound of Chaeryeong's soft laughter and the happiness that radiated off of her, Yuna felt happy from it too.

Now, Yuna wants to make Chaeryeong laugh as often as possible.

The two head straight to the nearest café, Chaeryeong was still wearing Yuna's jacket, it was too comfortable to take off.

They went straight to order and this time Chaeryeong was paying.

Yuna ordered a mango smoothie while Chaeryeong got an iced Americano and a slice of red velvet cake. 

They picked up their orders once they were ready and found a table quite easily.

The two sat down and sipped on their drinks while talking about the movie they watched, 

Chaeryeong grabs a fork and forks up some cake. Before she took a bite, she offers some to Yuna. 

Yuna gladly eats the cake Chaeryeong fed her and happily munches on it.

"Is it good?" Chaeryeong asks while taking a bite of the cake as well.

"Yea, it's better than other cakes because Chaeryeong fed it to me." Chaeryeong rolls her eyes and chuckles but faint blush can be seen on her cheeks, she didn't expect Yuna to be this cheesy.

Though they just met not long ago, it feels like they've known each other for awhile now. Chaeryeong doesn't usually open up this easily but for Yuna, she already feels comfortable around her.

They spend the evening chatting away with happy smiles and also exchanged numbers, they didn't even realise how long they were in the café until the barista had to tell them they were closing.

The two leave the café and Chaeryeong was a giggling mess from a silly joke Yuna told her earlier. She hasn't had this much fun with someone in a long time.

They hop into Yuna's van and of course she had to open the door for Chaeryeong before going in herself.

They both sat in comfortable silence, enjoying the soft music the radio was playing. Chaeryeong yawns, exhaustion was finally hitting her.

Before she knew it, sleep consumes her and she falls into a dreamless sleep.

"Chaeryeong?" Yuna lightly shakes Chaeryeong awake,

Chaeryeong groggily rubs her eyes and wakes up to find that they were already at their apartment complex.

"Hey." Chaeryeong greets Yuna in her dazed and tired state, her voice slightly raspy and hoarse.

Yuna simply chuckles, "Let's get you home so you can sleep." Chaeryeong tiredly nods and sits straight up.

Yuna leaves the car first and opens the door for Chaeryeong,

Chaeryeong stumbles as she gets off, still in her sleepy and unfocused state. 

"You okay?" 

Chaeryeong nods, her eyes half opened. Yuna shakes her head with a smile and loops her arm around Chaeryeong's just to make sure she doesn't trip and fall.

Yuna slowly leads Chaeryeong to her apartment while Chaeryeong had her eyes closed most of the time, she even almost fell asleep on the elevator.

Soon enough, they were at Chaeryeong's front door. Yuna releases her arm from Chaeryeong while she unlocks her door.

Before Chaeryeong opens her door, she faces Yuna and flashes a small smile.

"I had a lot of fun today." Chaeryeong looks up to look at Yuna's face, she wore a big genuine smile and Chaeryeong could feel her own smile widening.

"I did too. We should go out again soon." 

"Definitely." 

Yuna could feel her heart leap in joy from Chaeryeong's answer.

Without much thought, Yuna places a soft and innocent kiss on Chaeryeong's forehead. Which left Chaeryeong slightly flustered,

"Good night, Chaeryeong." Yuna bids her before leaving to head into her own apartment.

"Good night." Chaeryeong bids back with a large goofy smile before entering her apartment and closing the door shut.

Yuna stares at Chaeryeong's front door for a moment before entering her own with the same large goofy grin, her heart full of happiness because her day was well spent with a girl she may or may not have a really big crush on.

Chaeryeong quickly changes into comfortable pajamas and flops herself onto her bed. Right before she could close her eyes and fall asleep, her phone buzzes from a new notification.

Chaeryeong grumpily grabs her phone, she was exhausted and couldn't wait to sleep. She unlocks her phone to find a text from Yuna, her grumpiness immediately vanished when she opened up the text. 

Yuna: good night, sleep well :)

The simple text had put a smile on Chaeryeong's face, she quickly types in her reply.

Chaeryeong: you too <3

Chaeryeong puts away her phone and sighs in content, she already couldn't wait to go out with Yuna again soon.
