“Hi,” The girl said shyly as she saw someone with blonde hair pop up into her apartment lobby. Yoohyeon was just minding her business until someone caught her eye and they had the courage to approach her. She gulped as she took in the slender beauty that had the face of perfection that any dollmaker would be put to shame.

“H-hi,” Yoohyeon blushed as she couldn’t help but stare at the shy one just smiling away.

“Uhm… I just… I wanted to…,” The girl said as she shifted from foot to foot and rubbed the back of her neck. Yoohyeon thought to herself. She is too adorable. Can I just take her with me? “Um… I saw you down here and I thought… hey, why not make some friends you know,” The blonde asked as she gave Yoohyeon a toothy grin.

“W-we can be… friends…,” Yoohyeon whispered the last word quietly but it still reached the blonde’s ears. The blonde gasped and grabbed Yoohyeon’s hand.

“Great! We will be the best of friends,” The blonde excitedly said as she beamed with joy enough for Yoohyeon to smile at the blonde. “Oh,” The blonde noticed as she let go of Yoohyeon’s hands and immediately Yoohyeon felt sad about the loss of contact and a want to keep touching her. “Where are my manners? My name is Kim Minji, but everyone calls me Jiu.” She said while going in for a handshake which Yoohyeon happily without hesitation shook it.

“My name is Kim Yoohyeon and everyone jus well calls me Yoohyeon unless they tease me and call me puppy,” Yoohyeon confessed feeling a little bit embarrassed how easily she was talking to Jiu.

“I know,” Jiu said but looked at Yoohyeon a little bit panic and Yoohyeon picked up on it.

“You know?” Yoohyeon was feeling a little bit scared about the newly introduced stranger.

“I mean… I accidentally heard you with your friends a couple of days ago before I approached you and now you think I’m a total weirdo or maybe a stalker.” Jiu tried to defend herself but was rambling on about too many things and that also included her personal items. Yoohyeon couldn’t help but smile at Jiu’s rambling and didn’t want her to go on.

“I was just messing with you but do go on I love the sound of your voice when you get flustered,” Yoohyeon flushed in red as she thought back to her reply. When have I become such a smooth talker? Yoohyeon covered her eyes so she couldn’t see Jiu’s reaction to her sentence. Jiu, on the other hand, had a smile for a few seconds but it dropped when she noticed Yoohyeon’s action.

“You know, I have some free time and since we just met do you want to go grab some coffee?” Jiu asked as she wanted to save Yoohyeon from her mental breakdown which was written all over her face.

Yoohyeon shyly smiled at Jiu and replied. “Can we go for some hot chocolate instead?” Jiu chuckled and shook her head.

“You’re too cute for your own good but sure.” Jiu agreed and Yoohyeon beamed like a puppy seeing its owner in a long time.

“Hey,” Jiu called out to Yoohyeon who was gazing at the sky. She admired the view, but she already greeted Yoohyeon. She gazed at the younger girl who gave her a smile. “It’s been a while, Yoohyeon, how have you been?” Jiu slid herself right beside her and waited for her response.

“It’s been alright I guess but look at the Jiu,” Yoohyeon pointed at the small tint of pink in the sunset. “I enjoy sunsets especially when the pink is in there,” Yoohyeon explained which warmed Jiu’s heart knowing that Yoohyeon liked the color pink with her.

“Do you know why you like the pink in the sunset?” Jiu asked but all she got was confusion in Yoohyeon’s facial features.

“Huh… I don’t know. I just do, I guess. Something I can’t explain,” Yoohyeon chuckled at herself embarrassed because she couldn’t think of the reason why she liked it.

“Hmm,” Jiu hummed as she didn’t want to pry too much. “Okay.” She said and they continued their day as always.

…

“I know this might offend you but why are you adding ice into your hot beverage?” Yoohyeon wondered as she seated down at the table where Jiu just asked for a cup of ice.

“I like it iced. No matter what the weather is I always seem to drink my beverages cold. I guess I’m accustomed to the cold you know,” Jiu laughed as she watched Yoohyeon listen to her little speech. Yoohyeon noticed a small distant look on Jiu’s face but didn’t comment on it since she didn’t know her well enough to comment on it. “So… hot chocolate again, Yoohyeon?” Jiu didn’t subtly change the subject, but she didn’t want to sit in uncomfortable silence.

“Again?” Yoohyeon questioned as she tried to think about when she had hot chocolate, but she knew she was forgetful, so she dismissed it. “I love hot chocolate. Nothing can’t go wrong with hot chocolate.” Yoohyeon proclaimed as she happily drank her beverage.

“Everything,” Jiu muttered under her breath and it fell to deaf ears.

…

“I love you, Kim Yoohyeon,” She smiled as Yoohyeon only blushed for the millionth time that day. I swear she loves teasing me Yoohyeon pouted at her lover but still smiled back at her and pulled her up only to pull her into the couch with her.

“I want my cuddles,” Yoohyeon pouted as she was too embarrassed to say them back. The lover only chuckled, and she shook her head at Yoohyeon’s actions.

“What am I do to with you?” She huffed and Yoohyeon thought about it for a moment.

“Feed me, hold me and give me a lifetime supply of hot chocolate,” Yoohyeon replied. The lover looked at Yoohyeon in disbelief.

“Are you dating me just to get free hot chocolate?” She gasped and Yoohyeon grinned and nodded her head.

“That’s right. Buying me hot chocolate gets my love all the time also it makes everything better.” Yoohyeon teased before kissing the top of her lover’s head in reassurance. “I’m joking but the hot chocolate is just the additional piece. You know how much I adore you and… even l-love you.” Yoohyeon stuttered the last part and her lover smiled as she kissed Yoohyeon’s lips.

“I would trade everything in the world just to be with you,” The lover whispered onto Yoohyeon’s lips before pecking them and getting up from the couch. “Come on, I’ll make you some hot chocolate to gain some more of your love,” She teased and Yoohyeon quickly shot up to enjoy her make the wonderous hot chocolate she ever tasted. Her friend, however, told her that she needed her taste buds checked out when she tried her lover’s hot chocolate.

“Your hot chocolate is the best you know that,” Yoohyeon admitted suddenly as she watched her put in over 5 scoops of sugar while adding a bunch of coffee mate into the mix. It was no longer the rich dark chocolate color instead it looked like milked up coffee. Yoohyeon grinned when she placed down the cup and instantly hurried to drink it.

“Yoohyeon, babe, it’s,” Yoohyeon flinched and stuck out her tongue while tears formed at the corners of her eyes. “Hot,” She finished but kissed Yoohyeon’s cheek. “Silly puppy,” Yoohyeon turn to face her and pouted.

“The hot chocolate hurt me,” Yoohyeon whined, “I just wanted to drink your special chocolate that only me can admire.” The lover kissed the top of Yoohyeon’s head.

“Take it slowly and savor it, babe. It’s not going anywhere and so am I,”

Yoohyeon woke up but can’t remember what the dream was about however her heart hurt so much.

“Why does my heart pains me so much?”

Yoohyeon was at the cafe drinking her hot chocolate as usual and find the taste bland as usual. The waiter came over and he just had to ask.

“Are you waiting for your lover to arrive as usual?” Yoohyeon looked at him confused.

“Lover? What lover are you talking about?” Yoohyeon answered as she would have remembered if she was dating someone.

“You know the one you’ve been to this cafe for quite some time. You would always be looking out the window and your lover would come and greet you.” The waiter pressed on but Yoohyeon furrowed her eyebrows.

“I’m sorry I don’t remember.” Yoohyeon was still confused and possibly thinking that the waiter was pulling a prank on her however something clicked. “The doctor told me that I can’t remember what happens in my life after the day resets. Does that mean I have someone significant coming in today?” Yoohyeon asked as she certainly didn’t read this in her journals that were laid out on her desk that recorded everything since the accident.

“Ah… I’m sorry to hear but you know it’s been a couple of weeks since your lover came in and you would always sit here waiting like nothing happened.” The waiter explained but Yoohyeon only nodded.

“I see,” Her heart turned in pain for some reason. “Thank you for your concern,” Yoohyeon smiled. “Do you know the name of my lover?” Yoohyeon had to ask to see if she could find it in her journal.

“Of course, we do have the name system when it gets busy in stores. She’s called Jiu whenever she orders green tea with a bowl of ice while yours is hot chocolate with 2 shots of almond cream and additional sugar.” The waiter happily said as he loved watching the couple interact and it was always the highlight of the cafe’s day whenever they see the couple come in. They were always in their own world or just enjoying the atmosphere that the small little cafe gave them.

“Thank you so much, uhm,” Yoohyeon read the name tag. “In-Kwon” She smiled and just drank the rest of her hot chocolate. She paid and went home to look through her journals, but it just showed her days alone in the cafe. She couldn’t remember where she put the other journals that have been filled as she didn’t write it down where she placed it. She huffed and started looking throughout her desk to find that she had forgotten her purpose of looking. She looked at the clock and it struck midnight. “What was I looking for?” Yoohyeon questioned to herself as she looked at her room and found a paper that said read me. She read the journal and began her day just like every other time in her journal.

            Wait at the XXX Cafe, enjoy the hot chocolate and atmosphere. I’ll get there as soon as I can. I love you, Yoohyeon. -Forever your Bunny. Were the beginning of the words that started the journal. Yoohyeon didn’t notice how the writing was different than hers but she believed them and nodded before going to bed.
