Chapter 6. War of Hearts

Jennie thought if Lisa is ready to move past their conversation, she basically lost already before even trying to show her how she actually feels for the latter-- At the same time, she doesn’t want to think the fact that because of this, Lisa might not act the way she used to towards her, trying to keep her distance because all she thought was Jennie didn’t feel the same. She has to think fast. She cannot let her slip away.

Jennie had a hard time trying to come up with something as she is not the type of woman who chases someone. It had always been the other way around. Men, Women, go after her but she never really had such interest in other people, not until Lisa. They started as friends and really hit it off well. Although she’s been pretty close with the rest of the members, it had always been different with Lisa. She couldn’t really point a finger on it at first, but she always thought Lisa shone brighter than others. Now, the question is how can she keep Lisa? She thought long and hard about it that it made her sleepless. Finally, tiredness crept in and with a sign of defeat she thought of what Chaeng said. “Whatever will be, will be.”

The next morning came and the girls sat together for breakfast. The four were scheduled for gym time, However, it’s not usual for them to be trained together, Jisoo and Chaeng decided they wanted to try boxing with Lisa. “Ya, boxing sounds fun today! I want to try and swing my fists like Pyong! Bong!” Jisoo said while acting like she’s ready to square it up with someone. “Lalisa’s been doing this for years. Show us the way master oppa Lalisa” Jisoo added teasingly. Lisa laughed at how Jisoo said it and thought it really is great to do something fun with the girls today, she usually trains alone but today she won’t be.

 “Okay Okay, Oppa will show you how it’s done today.” Lisa replied putting her arms on both Jisoo and Chaeng which sat next to her while giving them the confident swag she has.  “I wonder if Jennie unnie will come with us today too” Lisa added. “Whoa, she really is in the mood today.” Chaeng noticed. “Did you have a good talk with Jennie last night? You never told me what happened that night when we hung out.” Chaeng asked Lisa. “Yeah, I think we did. We are okay, we are still friends.” Lisa said giving Chaeng a smile and then drops her gaze on the floor. She looked empty as she looked down the floor but quickly snapped out of it and lifted her head up to smile again. “Ehhhhh? Friends?” Chaeng asked confused. Lisa didn’t answer but instead laughed at Chaeng’s reaction.

Jennie headed out of her room to join the girls for breakfast. “Jendeukie! Do you want to come with us at the gym today?” Jisoo asked the girl. “Lisa will teach us how to box today!!!” Jisoo added filled with excitement. Jennie gave this a thought.  As much as she want to join the girls, she had never been a fan of boxing as she thought aerial yoga mostly kept her sane and in peace and it also helped her be more flexible towards the dance choreography they had been performing through the years. “Maybe next time.” Jennie responded to Jisoo.

Lisa’s phone rang and Irene’s name flashed on her screen. Lisa immediately answered her phone with a smile on her face. “Hello Unnie! Good morning! What’s up?” Lisa said “I told you not to call me unnie anymore!” giving Lisa an aegyo over the phone. “I am back in Korea, what are you up to today? Do you want to meet?” Irene asked. “Sorry, I mean Hello Irene!!” Lisa chuckled at the aegyo. “I am actually going to the gym with Jisoo and Chaeng, I will teach them how to box today. Do you maybe want to tag along if you aren’t busy yet?” Lisa asked Irene. “Oh I see! That sounds fun! Count me in! Send me the address and I’ll come with.” Irene answered.  “Okay perfect! I’ll see you later then!” Lisa said and the call ended.

“Ya Lalisa, Which Irene is that? Is that the RV member Jendeukie’s friends with?” Jisoo asked. “Yeah Unnie, I met her in Thailand when she was on vacation and got to spend time with her at the market. She wants to meet again today so she is tagging along with us today!” Lisa told the girls. “Wuhh, you picked a new woman already?” Jisoo said while eyeing Lisa judging her loudly.

“Unnie!!! It’s not like that! She is a new friend and she said she wants to get to know me more!” Lisa defensively stated. “Ya Lalisa, sometimes you can be a bit of naïve and a at the same time. Wanting to get to know someone means they are interested in you.” Jisoo mockingly told Lisa. “Yeah interested to be friends!” Lisa said.

“You suddenly want to be friends with everyone now huh?” Jennie asked. “You must be feeling very friendly lately.” Jennie then raised her left brow while tilting her head looking at Lisa. “I’ve got a change of plan, I will come with you guys at the gym too today since we are all being super friendly here.”

Chaeng and Jisoo eyed each other and whispered. “Ya, Olchaengi, I haven’t seen this side of Jendeukie yet. Have you? She looks like she’s about to chop Lisa’s head off or Irene’s.” Jisoo whispered to Chaeng lightly. “I know unnie but this is kind of fun, I’ll bet a million won someone’s going to lose their today.” Chaeng responded. Jisoo then smirked at what Chaeng said and told her “We’ll see. This is going to be fun.”

At the gym, the four arrived and Lisa’s trainer was surprised at the girls’ companion. “You don’t have any scheduled training session with me today?” The trainer said. “Yes, Oppa but can we make an exception today? Jisoo, Chaeng and Nini want to learn to box today and we have one more person coming, Irene.” Lisa responded. “Hm okay, interesting well
