Chapter 16. Decisions

“What the happened Lisa?” Jisoo asked the girl that sat on the couch quietly as if lost in her own world. “Lisa?” Jisoo waved her hand in front of the girl. “Hey hi, sorry unnie, I didn’t notice you’re already here.” Lisa said as she snapped out of her thoughts. “Why aren’t you two talking? What happened earlier? Tell me? Jennie? Ya Jendeukie? What the hell happened here?” Jisoo asked the girls. Just about as Lisa were about to open to explain, Jennie then began sobbing in tears. “Omo Omo, ya Jennie why are you crying?” Jisoo rushed towards Jennie to comfort her. “Her parents did not approve of our relationship. Mine kind of didn’t too but her Dad was something else.” Lisa explained as she resigned herself in defeat. “He wants Jennie out of here if we do not put a stop to it.” Lisa added. “Holy! That bad? I’m so sorry. I should have stayed here with you girls.” Jisoo said as she felt horrible for leaving. “It’s not your fault unnie, it was our own battle to face and deal with. It’s just that I guess we expected way too much of the opposite to happen.” Lisa said.

“Lisa, what do we do? I don’t want to leave and I don’t want to break up with you either.” Jennie said as she faces down and wipes her tears. “Neither do I, Nini. But remember what I told you? We’ll have to keep proving we are right for each other and we deserve each other. I think if we do well in our careers, they’ll see how we’ll handle things and maybe trust us in the future if not now. But Nini, We really need to be very careful.” Lisa said as she tried to come up with something that will at least make Jennie feel better. “Regardless of what our parents said, I love you and that will not change. You need to remember that okay? I’m not going to give you up just like that. I’m Lalisa ing Manoban, I’m not a quitter and you Jennie Kim you are no quitter either. Drag that evil out of you and let’s fight for our love! You hear me?” Lisa said as this made the girl laugh at the girl’s effort to cheer her up. “Who’s ing an evil ? What the are you guys talking about?” Chaeng asked the girls as she’s the last to arrive back in their unit.

The four of them sat as they talked about what happened. As Chaeng, same with Jisoo felt bad for their members’ situation. “If it make you guys feel any better, We already have a lot of money, why don’t we just start our own company and do whatever we want in it and control everything so that you can date whoever you want to date and we’ll do whatever the we want if your parents care so much about your careers.” Chaeng said. “You’re right Chaeng, we have money but who will sponsor our events though? We cannot fund everything on our own just like what we’re doing now, we get sponsors because of our reputation. We have no bad scandals and if this one comes out, it is definitely going to be bad. Lisa and I don’t want to drag you two in our mess too but at the same time, we feel like our odds are as close as a miracle.” Jennie said. “Ya, Park Chaeyoung this is because of those fish that you bought! It brought us the yang in our concert and then gave the yin to Jendeukie and Lalisa! I should cook that thing before it brings more bad luck!” Jisoo said. “Hey unnie! That’s not funny! I bought the fish in good faith don’t blame them! It’s supposed to balance things in our lives.” Chaeng said.

“We still have a party to attend to though, I’m sorry it’s such a bad timing but we are obligated to make an appearance there. Do you ladies think you can bite the pillow a little bit more before the day ends?” Jisoo asked as concern draws on her face. “Yes unnie. Don’t worry about us we can do it. We’ll follow the same plan like we usually do. You go with Nini and I pair up with Chaengi.” Lisa said as she stood up and took Jennie’s hand as she pulled her up from the couch. “Nini, baby, let’s put our game faces on one more time tonight? I know what happened earlier and it’s serious but if it ain’t hard it ain’t worth it right?” Lisa said as she gently lifts Jennie’s chin to face her. I love you and you’re worth everything.” Lisa said as Jennie wrapped her hands on Lisa’s waist and buried her face on the tall girls’ chest that heaved a sigh. “I love you too and I don’t want to lose you.”
