{Chapter 30: District 10? {

Hani found her way back to her house which she shared with Changbin as she opened the front door which was unlocked, making her way inside.

“Of course” she sighed as she found the apartment empty, the dishes from the morning neatly done and staked as she sighed, heading to the bathroom for a warm winter shower.

LATER:

Hani smiled as she looked at the photo album of her and Changbin, it was his idea that we developed every photo we took in polaroids, at least one from every outing and here we were, two full photo albums of our pictures.

I understood why Changbin would often make mistakes and we’d fight.

He was young, just like me.

We still had a long way to go, I mean, we weren’t even 25.

But something about him told me of ‘forever’.

 

We’d had missed each other for so long, today he was a member of one of Korea’s top notch kpop boy bands and I had a firm position as a JYP producer, yeah you heard me right, JYP producer and not YG.

Changbin’s rap from “GLOW” started playing in her phone as she smiled at how charismatic her boyfriend could be.

“Jagiya” his voice called as Hani looked at Changbin in his track suit and a bag on his hands, back from practice.

“Bin-ah” Hani called running to him for a hug as he hugged her back

“Mianhae, I am such a jerk” Changbin muttered as Hani nodded

“I missed you” she said as Changbin smiled, rapping to “Glow”

“I know my rap is your weakness” he chuckled as Hani pushed him away

“Get out” she muttered as Changbin dragged her to the couch, finding himself in a comfortable position as he hugged Hani tightly and pretended to sleep.

“Jagiya…” Hani called

“Emm?” Changbin answered pulling her closer

“You stink like sweat” Hani chucked.

Being in a relationship doesn’t mean everything is perfect.

It means you keep up with each other, you fight in the morning and is back home at night cuddling together just because you missed each other and got tired of not talking with each other the whole day.

I think that is love.

It doesn’t need to be perfect but it is what makes you happy.

Hani sliced the watermelons as she counted the pieces – it was hard when 9 wolf hungry boys would come to play at your new house for a house warming party.

“You guys never grow up” she sighed as she took the first two plates of melons to the kids watching TV

“Thanks noona!” Seungmin shouted as Hani smiled warmly at the only polite kid in the area

“THANKS BRUH” Felix shouted as Hani rolled her eyes

“On plate for here” Hani said as she placed the plate near Chan and Jisung who were busy writing lyrics

“Where’s—”

“Your boyfriend is outside” Chan chuckled as Hani nodded embarrassed as the sun shone brightly at the backyard, finally the small house with a backyard that Hani really wanted.

“What are you doing?” Hani smiled as she Changbin looked up to her from his notebook
“I’ve been writing lyrics and…” Changbin muttered as Hani made a face
“I really feel like kissing you right now” Changbin said blankly

“Ew” Felix’s voice came from the back, eating a watermelon.

“Noona, can we have a few more pieces from Changbin hyung’s plate?” Felix asked as Changbin glared at the younger as Hani chuckled

“Sure, take everything, I’ll bring more for him” Hani smiled as Felix nodded excitedly taking the plate back into the room.

Hani turned back as she found Changbin’s face just inches to hers

“Yah” Hani muttered, not wanting the boys to hear

“I really want to kiss you right now” Changbin said blankly

“It’s scary when you do—”

“They’re kissing” Chan chuckled poking Jisung as they squealed

“They’re really kissing!” Minho silently chuckled as the boys peeked

“Cover Jongin, Jongin” Woojin shouted.

Summer is here and everything is in its full blossom, lovers are everywhere.

Everywhere I go there is love, hope and dreams and that’s what I love about summer.

Summer makes us realize that nothing really remains changed within us; it awakens the little kid in us.

However, if you are like me who is yet to find love and is lonely this summer, don’t lose hope. Instead, let’s take time to look around and look at the joy people give out during this season.

“Where are you?” Hanbin asked on the phone as Hani locked the door to her house

“I’m going out to meet the managing team for the next show, wae?” Hani asked as Hanbin chuckled

“I just wanted to talk with you” he said as Hani smiled

“Wae? Are you out of ideas for your show as again?” Hani asked as Hanbin awkwardly chuckled

“Can’t we make do on the phone?” she asked as she got into her car, noticing the sticky note on the front seat.

“Drive safely, I miss you – C.B”

Fast forward:

Hani drove back home exhausted from work as she tried not to dampen her mood too much by the fact that Changbin wouldn’t be home for the next two days.

Entering into the cold house, Hani hung her sweater on the stand as she wore the slippers before heading to have a warm cup of coffee, turning on the radio.

Hani’s phone rang as she smiled at the caller ID- My hubby.

“Wae?” she asked as she face timed her man

“Bogoshipoooooo” Jisung shouted from the back making Hani chuckle

“Wae? Did you just come back?” Changbin asked, still in his stage outfit as Hani nodded, preparing her coffee

“How’s the weather out there in Japan?” Hani asked as Changbin nodded

“It’s blissful” he smiled as Hani nodded

“Bogoshipo” Changbin said as Hani smiled

“Na du” she smiled, the radio still playing the background

“Muuuuahhhh” Changbin said kissing the screen making Hani laugh.

Of course, it was hard when Changbin had to leave for tours and schedules and pull all nighters, dating an idol was hard.

But I knew, somewhere somehow, we’ll miss it at a place in time.

It was hard but it wasn’t impossible.

Once I had run out of ideas to talk about when my friend randomly asked me this – Hanbin-ah, have you ever been in love? Do you know how it feels like to be in love?

I replied bluntly, -“No, I don’t. But won’t it break my heart to be in love?”

Why are all the love songs about breaking up? It has always scared me, if love was really that beautiful, why’d people have to write such sad songs?

Then she replied, -“me and boyfriend fight too but no matter what season it is, spring, summer, winter or fall, we find each other finding our way back to each other. And that’s what I feel love really is, being crazy together, being mad at each other but despite everything, we find ourselves in each other’s arms at night” –Bobby said in a girl’s voice making the boys crack up in laughter

After hearing her talk about that I thought, maybe love isn’t that bad.

“If you listen to sad songs your love would be like that and if you listen to happy songs, your love will be happy eh?” – Jay chuckled

“Neh let’s just ignore the elder and proceed” – Hanbin chuckled

“If your love life is sad, listen to IKON’s –Apology and if you’re happy listen to iKON’s –Wyd” June said as the guys gave ‘wooo’ reactions

“Nehhh, the perfect way to promote songs”- Yun commented, laughing 

“So, on this 9pm night, where are you? Are you safe in the arms of your lover? Or are you with the Han River with a bottle of Soju in your hands because you miss someone?” – Jay asked

“But if you’re lonely, here’s iKON sending you warm hugs and kisses to make you feel better”- Chanwoo said sincerely

Changbin chuckled as Hani covered her face with the blanket, embarrassed, her back turned to him

“On this 9PM night, my girlfriend is with me, the one whom I wouldn’t mind spending spring, Summer, fall and Winter with” Changbin said in a sleepy voice as Hani felt her face heat up

“Shut up, I didn’t know he’d mention everything I told him” Hani sighed as Changbin s his hands to Hani’s body

“Saranghae” he said nuzzling on her neck as Hani chuckled turning back to him

“Na du” she smiled as Changbin kissed the tip of her nose

“Jagiya” Hani mumbled

“Emm?” he replied as he Hani’s hair

“Can you sing ‘Placebo’ for me?” Hani asked, closing her eyes

“…Cause later when I become addicted to life” he sang making her chuckle as the rain fell outside.

“Nehh, DK-sshi, please introduce the song to close up this segment” – Hanbin said smiling

“Alright, here is Pentagon’s – Shine, to make you all feel better and cheer everyone up.” – the polite kid answered
