{Chapter 12: Found you, C.B!{

“I’m sitting at the back of the bus, where we used to sit
Humming as I remember the memories with you”

 

Changbin stood at the terrace of their dorm’s apartment as he stared out at the busy streets, humming a tune.

“Aish what’s taking him so long?” he muttered, remembering it was Chan who wanted him to go to the terrace and wait for him so that they could have a drink and have some hyung-dongsaeng time together.

Changbin sighed as he thought of Hani about their encounter. It was crazy, acting like you don’t know someone when you’ve been dying to be noticed by them for so long.

Changbin’s phone rang as he looked at the caller – 4419

*Perfect timing* he smiled.

“I’ve sent him up, where are you?” Chan asked on the phone with Hani

“I’m outside your dorm, which floor do I come up to?” Hani asked

“Come up to the sixth floor and I’ll tell you where to find him” the leader answered

“Neh, I’ll be there in a few minutes” Hani said getting into the lift, pressing the 6^th floor as the floor went up.

“What’d you tell him that he so obediently went up like that?” Hani chuckled

“That’s another story I have to tell you during our cooking sessions together” Chan said as Hani laughed nodding.

The lift stopped briefly as the door opened revealing a happy smiling Chan standing right in front of her

“Oh…HI” she said, still holding the phone to her ear

“Hi” Chan smiled shyly putting the phone down as Hani awkwardly put the phone down

“Just take the stairs from there, there’ll be a small door and tah-dah, you have Changbin” Chan instructed as Hani nodded bowing politely

“Thank you Channie” she said ruffling his hair as the leader turned shyly

“You’re welcome, now then” he said bowing as Hani nodded.

Hani walked up the stairs as she dialed Changbin’s C.B’s number, the call being answered almost immediately, the only sound that could be heard was the stamping of her vans old school, something Changbin always wore, so why not?

“Hey” his voice said as Hani slowly went up, not wanting to tire herself too much, her heart pounding at the fact that she was indeed going up to see Changbin –the guy she had liked for so long.

“What are you doing?” she smiled

“I’m up at the terrace waiting for my hyung” his low voice answered

“Ahh... neh” Hani said, taking soft breaths

“Are you going somewhere? You sound tired” C.B asked as Hani looked at the terrace door open, slowly walking towards it

“Emm…I’m going to meet someone I really like” she answered

“Who? Your boyfriend?” C.B chuckled

“Not yet” Hani chuckled as she stood at the terrace door and looked at Changbin with his back faced to her, leaning towards the railing and looking at the view before him

“Changbin-ah” she said on the phone

“E-eh?” he answered blinking his eyes as he stared at the traffic outside

“Why’d you lie that you’re not Changbin, you pabo.” she said as she walked towards him, Changbin turning back at the sound of footsteps behind him.

“Hani” he muttered as Hani stood a few steps ahead of him, the phone still in her ear.

“I found you…at last” she smiled putting her phone down.

“You pabo…you know how much I missed you?” Hani asked, her eyes getting teary with joy after seeing him for so long

“Did you not want to see me?” she asked as a tear dropped.

Changbin walked straight to Hani as he pulled her hand towards him, engulfing her in a hug, embracing her tightly.

“Mianhae” he said as Hani grabbed his jacket sobbing

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier, you napeun saram” she cried as he lovingly her hair

“I was scared, I’m sorry. I thought you wouldn’t like me as I am…I didn’t want to reveal my imperfect self to you” Changbin said as Hani pulled away a bit looking at him

“This is the Changbin I fell for, I wouldn’t like any other version of you” she said as Changbin smiled

“Me too” he said as Hani buried her face in his chest.

“I’m so glad you were my C.B” she said as Changbin nodded, kissing the top of her head.

“Me too” he smiled hugging her tighter.

I was scared that I’d fall for your perfect self too deeply and get hurt in the end.

I was afraid.

We clearly came from different worlds, from rival agencies.

How could our worlds just clash like that?

She was perfect, everything I could ever ask for. To be perfect for her, I needed to work hard and become a star. I need to debut so that she could proudly say “That’s my man right there”

I wanted to be the one she imagined her happily ever after with and she'd always be my forever.

Honestly, I wanted her so much.
