{Chapter 14: Love and fall{

Hani sat outside her school as she covered her face with her hands, humming to herself a song when

“Yo sunbae” a voice said sitting next to her as Hani turned to her left

“Hwang Hyunjin?” she chuckled as Hyunjin placed a banana milk on her hands.

“What are you doing here alone?” Hyunjin asked as Hani sighed

“I’ve been editing these” Hani sighed showing him a file with the label – iKON TV.

“I heard you’re majoring in screen editing and producing too” Hyunjin said folding his arms as he leaned his head on her shoulder

“Yah” she said making a face

“Just five minutes I’m so tired” Hyunjin chuckled as Hani sighed

“Hayi, are you going out with Changbin?” Hyunjin asked as Hani pushed him away

“Call me noona, I’m your sunbae” Hani said as Hyunjin got back in his ‘rest’ position

“Nope, it’s Hani” he said closing his eyes.

“I heard you’re good with editing, can you help me out?” Hyunjin asked as Hani took a sip of the milk

“In what?” she asked as Hyunjin sighed

“I have to write my own rap for the next song, I hate grammar so I might need help there” Hyunjin chuckled

“Yah I’m a YG product, why do JYP kids keep calling me?” Hani asked playing with her fingers

“Heol~” Hyunjin sulked.

“What do I get?” Hani added as Hyunjin looked at her and then rested his head on her shoulder again

“I’ll let you listen to our song first things after it has finished recording” Hyunjin said as Hani gave a small laugh

“Nehhh arasso, I’ll meet tonight” Hani said yawning a bit

“Sure—”

“8?” she asked as Hyunjin showed a thumbs up

“That’s a deal then” she smiled nodding as Hyunjin yawned

“Ugh, so tired” he muttered as a leaf fell on Hani’s lap.

The fall of that year...

Fall was supposed to bring everything down, to wither things away.

Why was something really blossoming even after spring had passed?

8:15pm

“Jin-ah, I’m here, where are you?” Hani asked getting on lift

“Just come up as usual” Hyunjin answered as Hani nodded in agreement as the lift door opened revealing a happy smiling Hwang Hyunjin

“Welcome to JinJin’s studio!” he said literally dragging her excitedly into the room

“Oh god, JinJin” she laughed a bit as they got on with work.

“I know Changbin hyung and Jisung are there too but I needed someone really professional to do this for me” Hyunjin said making Hani smile

“That’s flattering” she chuckled as they got on with work

“And the rest of the boys?” she asked putting on her glasses as the younger looked at her

“They’re busy too, you look pretty with glasses” Hyunjin commented making her hit his arm, pushing him away

“Get lost Hwang Hyunjin” she laughed.

Time ticked by fast as Hyunjin looked at Hani do a small yawn

“Are you tired? We can continue later some other day” he said apologetically as Hani stretched her arms

“I’m really tired these days because of iKON TV” she sighed as Hyunjin stood up
“let’s go get coffee then” he offered as Hani’s eyes brightened at the word of ‘coffee’

“Sure” she said happily standing up as they exited the room.

“So you’re still not gonna call me noona?” Hani asked as Hyunjin made a face

“You were born two weeks before me so that don’t really count. Besides that, I’m more mature and tall than you” Hyunjin said proudly as Hani pushed her way past Hyunjin into the hellevator elevator.

“Yahhh~ Let’s go together” the rapper laughed following her.

Hani and Hyunjin sat in the café casually sipping their coffee when someone caught Hani’s eye

“Isn’t that Changbin?” Hani asked looking outside through the glass as Hyunjin turned to see Changbin and another tall girl

“Is she wearing his cardigan?” Hani asked, eyes widened, as she looked at the girl with shorts and a sneakers on, wearing Changbin’s cardigan.

“That’s Ryujin, she’s a trainee at our company. She asked Changbin to help her with dance so he’s just been helping her. There’s nothing to worry about” Hyunjin said coolly as Hani gulped her coffee angrily.

“Y-yah, he likes you don’t worry” Hyunjin muttered waving his hands frantically.

“I don’t know anymore” she said annoyed making the rapper chuckle

“Yah it’s not funny!” she sighed putting her head on the table

“You know, I cry easily” Hani said as Hyunjin looked at her, the C.B phone chain on her phone

“I cry if I spill milk, I cry if I see someone I like, I cry if someone is too kind to me” Hani said lifting her head from the table, her loosely braided hair covering her face.

“And if I’m angry too I cry. Am I getting teary right now?” she asked as Hyunjin looked at her.

“You definitely are” Hyunjin said as Hani rubbed her eyes

“So annoying” she muttered covering her face.

“Y-yah, uljima~ I’ll buy you something” Hyunjin said as Hani continued to cover her face.

Later:

“Thanks for walking me home” Hani said carrying a huge teddy on her hands

“…And for this” she said as Hyunjin rubbed his neck awkwardly

“You’re welcome. Don’t think about it too much and chill okay?” Hyunjin said as Hani nodded

“Can I come tomorrow too?” Hani asked as Hyunjin looked at her with a confused expression

“So that I can be mad about it with you?” she added as Hyunjin pinched her cheeks

“You’re too cute, how can I say no” he laughed

“Go get some rest, I’ll call you later” Hyunjin said as Hani nodded waving at him.

Hani looked at her phone for the thousandth time as she waited for Changbin’s call

Could it be that they are together?

What were they doing together?!

Why did she have his cardigan like that!

Ugh so annoying…

what if she’s his girlfriend?

He couldn’t be cheating on me, is he? But didn’t he say he liked me and didn’t he sound sincere?

Yah Yang Hani, get a grip, evaluate the situation.

The next day:

Hani dialed Changbin’s number as she angrily made her way to the JYP office

“WHY IS HE NOT PICKING UP?!” she shouted annoyed as the taxi driver looked at her

“Ajhussi, can I ask you something?” she asked the old taxi driver

“Ah, neh” the old man answered, flustered.

“Do you think my boyfriend is cheating on me?” she asked leaving the taxi driver confused

“He couldn’t be right? We aren’t even officially dating so it’s too early to be cheating…”

“But he just might! I don’t know much but I don’t know him that well either! I was so overwhelmed that my crush of three years likes me back that I completely forgot to do a background check on him!”

“Oh there’s my stop. Give me my answer next time ajhussi, thanks for the ride” she said getting out of the cab after paying her fare as she stormed towards the practice rooms, continuously calling Changbin
