The day that I've been waiting for ever since Donny had asked me out has finally arrived! Me and Lisa were holed up for almost three hours in my room as we fixed each other's dress and make up for the upcoming dance. 

"It's done!" Lisa proclaimed excitedly when she finally finished applying my make up. 

I opened my eyes and examined her masterwork, and I was really impressed by the result; my makeup looks light and effortless but in reality it was done with so much detail and complexity to make it look as such. 



I have to give it to Lisa, she's a real pro at applying makeup and knows what kind of look would suit me the best.

"You look enchanting even with little make up on." She remarked softly, barely a whisper. 

I glanced at her in the mirror and all I could see in her brown eyes was pure adoration; she didn't hold back any of it as she openly admired her handiwork, me. 

Feeling flattered at her compliment, I gave her a shy smile and acknowledged her efforts, "All thanks to you." 

She immediately returned my smile and stared back at me in the mirror. I took this moment to study her face and I couldn't help but notice the difference between our features and the aura that we exude; where my make up was light and scant, hers was more intricate and heavily done: her eyes were dark and smoky, and her pouty lips was accentuated by her signature red lipstick. It made her look even more y if I had to admit.

She was the epitome of cool and confidence while I was the epitome of sweetness and innocence. She was my Yin and I was her Yang or was it the other way around? 



"Let me see you." She took a hold of my hand before twirling me around for her to see every part of me, making me giggle at her silliness.

"Well, do I look alright?" I asked in between giggles.

"Oh my darling.. you look wonderful tonight." She sang and I immediately recognized the Eric Clapton song reference and blushed.

As usual, her beautiful and low raspy voice could still give me chills no matter how many times I have heard her sing; she has a very beautiful voice that only her family and closest friends have the pleasure of hearing.

"And you're a godess among mortals." I complimented back, meaning every word of it. She is the very definition of beauty, not just in the outside but also in the inside.

We were used to talking to each other like that. Sometimes she blurts out some random song while I blurt out something geeky like mortals or dragons.

Ding dong. The doorbell rang.

"I guess that's your date." She announced, making me immediately turn into a nervous mess.

"Hey, look at me." She held my chin up and made me look at her deep brow eyes. "I told you, you are very stunning and only an idiot wouldn't see it." She pronounce with so much conviction, making me feel blissfull and light hearted. With the way she compliments me and make me feel so reassured, I think I would have fallen for her a long time ago if only she was a boy.

"Thank you." I smiled at her.

"Now let's go down there and blow your date away!" She stated as she started packing her things that was sprawled on my bed.
