Don't Kiss Me I'm Scared!My dream was so vivid and fascinating that night. It was probably a combination of everything we shared with one another that night. In it, a certain tall boy was sitting at his desk in the early hours of the morning when the sun was barely up, sipping on a cup of whiskey that he had somehow acquired. He shook the glass quickly and with every mouthful, his adam apple danced to the rhythm of the liquid down his throat. He was shaking slightly - he probably didn't like it either, just like Vernon. Yet he finished the drink nonetheless, probably because it gave him warmth or courage. Either one of those. He was writing something that I could barely see...maybe a poem as well? The one that Minghao used in his failed confession? The tall beautiful boy was now focusing his gorgeous eyes on a single rose that he was t with utmost care. Ah, if only he prepared gerberas instead; I liked gerberas. That's probably the only flower I like. Mingyu scribbled it onto my script before when I asked him for a flower on my birthday once.
The fuzzy image of the boy in my dream was now styling his hair while looking into the mirror. He was extremely adept at it, his nimble fingers running through his fringe to style it in the way I had once taught Mingyu. This boy was somehow wearing the new striped shirt I bought for Mingyu too. He smiled the same confident way as Mingyu did every morning when he greeted Minghao and I. He was approaching me now, and a nagging feeling in me made me increasingly aware that I could almost feel his breath on my face, even though this was just a dream. I wish the warmth embracing was his hug, but all he did was to put a blanket on me, before smiling upon me again.
"Hey."
And I opened my eyes abruptly to the surprised face of Lee Chan, and a very confused look of Minghao who clearly just woke up. The sun was shining through the window on us - the dream was over.
