Hayun had earned herself a good group of friends and she had always tried to finish all homework and assessments on time so naturally the teachers had taken a liking towards her as well. The things she had feared on her first day were no longer present although she was embarrassed on the first day by a certain someone.

Right now she’s walking to the school early with a tin can of cat food, every now and then she played with him and gave him some food. Being a stray, as he was, Hayun thought it would be difficult for him to find food. As she enter the school she saw him waiting for her beside a bush.

“Meow~” he beckoned for her.

“Hello Stuart, I got the one you like.” she greeted the cat.

Hayun decided to give him a name after spending so much time with him although it was ironic to name a cat after a mouse it seemed that Stuart liked the name. She opened the can with a Swiss army knife that she kept for emergencies and placed it in front of him.

He ate the tinned cat food with delight until he sensed a presence of someone he didn’t like, Stuart took the food and hurried off. Hayun knew that there was only one person who sometimes came just as early as she did and try to approach the cat, it could only be Seunghyun.

“Why must you always do that? You scared him away.” She told Seunghyun.

“Cats are supposed to run away when people get near them anyway, you should stop trying to persuade it to be with you.”

“Correction he runs away whenever you get near him, and I’m not persuading him I’m just kind enough to look after him.” She emphasized. “Besides he probably runs away know that you evil, you know animals can sense these things.”

“If that were true then I probably wouldn't have a loving and loyal dog” he retorted.

“Dogs are known to be loyal no matter what type of owner they have”

“I think that other saying might be true”

“What other saying?” Hayun asked.

“The one saying that cats like women, that’s probably because women and cats have so much in common” he said with a smug look. “If dogs are known for their loyalty then cats are known for their betrayal like nature. They’ll use their excessive cuteness to get into your heart and after they get whatever they want they’ll leave you with scars”

“You sound like you’re talking for experience” she said.

Seunghyun scoffed “I don’t need to have experience to witness something happening over and over again”

His expression grew dark and Hayun knew she had to go before things got messy.

*At lunch break*

Hayun sat at her usual cafeteria table with her group of friends which consisted of; Sam, Becky, Katie and June. Her best friend from the four was Becky if she had to choose. The girls were discussing the normal things like the new episode of a series or drama they had watched recently but the topic quickly started to change to boys.

“Kyle is such a romantic sometimes I feel sssooooo lucky to have him” squealed Sam.
