After dinner, Nichkhun took Tiffany to a small park nearby instead of sending her home.

"Yah! Where are you taking me?" Stephanie asked angrily as she tried to escape from Nichkhun's grasp.

"To the park" he said shortly without letting go of Tiffany's hand.

"What are we going to do there? It's already dark and I want to get home right now!" Stephanie shouted. She needs to buy something for Zachary. The poor kid must be starving.

"Shh...not too loud Fany. Someone will think that I'm trying to harm you" Nichkhun said softly as he turn around to look at the latter.

"Whatever...can we go now?" Stephanie grunted as Nichkhun stopped in front of the swing. 

"Relax...let's sit and talk for a while before we go. I have so many things I want to say to you" Nichkhun smiled and pushed Tiffany lightly so that she's sitting on the swing while Nichkhun sat on the other one. 

There was silence for a few moments until Stephanie couldn't wait any longer.

"What is it that you want to say?" She asked directly to the point.

Nichkhun diverted his gaze from the dark sky to the person beside him. She looks so beautiful in that pink dress of hers that it made his heart melt. She's just so flawless with that beautiful face. For Nichkhun, not only is she flawless but her heart is also the kindest and most purest. She's just prefect in his eyes.

However, her expression right now is that of an angry mother bear. Nichkhun wanted to laugh but restrain himself from doing so.

"Could you hurry up?" Stephanie rushed. She glanced at the watch on her wrist. 9pm. Ugh! Zachary is probably crying right now.

"Fany ah" Nichkhun called out with that sweet voice of his.

Stephanie's heart skipped a beat. She dared herself to look at him. He's looking at her with eyes filled with love and sadness.

"Thank you so much for going out with me tonight. I've never felt so happy like today" he said sincerely.

Stephanie admitted that she felt contented as well but the feeling of disappointment is still there. She wanted to know why he left them...she needs to know.

"You left me with no choice, that's why I have to agree to eat out with you" Stephanie answered half heartedly.

"Are you sure? I bet you enjoyed this night and didn't have any regrets right?" Nichkhun teased.

Stephanie didn't answer. Unconsciously, she pouted because Nichkhun never failed to read her like an open book. He knows too much about her.

Nichkhun chuckled seeing her expression. Slowly, he stood up and stood behind the girl. He pushed the swing slowly while Stephanie was taken aback.

Gripping the rope tightly, she raised her legs up so that it doesn't touch the ground.

"What do you think you're doing?" She asked in rage as she turned her head towards Nichkhun.

"Letting you enjoy the cold night air" he said.

Stephanie cursed silently as she turned towards the front. To tell the truth, she missed being pushed like this. It's been so long since she sat on a swing. But she just doesn't want Nichkhun to think that she's enjoying this.

"She will look prettier if she smiles more" Nichkhun thought, not knowing that he just said it out loud.

"The way she frown, even I could pee in my pants. She could be an angry mother bear getting ready to eat it's prey" Nichkhun unconsciously said what is in his mind.

"What did you just say?!" Stephanie asked firmly. She could hear him loud and clear.

"A-Ah?" Nichkhun was confused. He stopped pushing the swing.

"I.am.not a mother bear!" She said angrily and stomped her feet on the ground before walking far away from Nichkhun.

"Did I just said it out loud?" Nichkhun muttered embarrassingly as he slapped his own face.

"She's going to fry me alive" he laughed nervously and chased after her.

Stephanie stood still beside his car as Nichkhun finally appeared. She rolled her eyes at him when he tried to speak, causing him to shut his mouth.

"Take me home now" she demanded. Nichkhun nodded weakly and unlock the car. Both of them got in and the rest of the car ride was silence.

Arriving in front of the mansion, Stephanie got out of the car hurriedly, leaving Nichkhun sighing to himself. 

"I really ruined her mood tonight. She was supposed to feel happy with me but I made her angry instead" he pouted.

Stephanie, who was already standing in front of the door, turned around and shouted at Nichkhun "Thank you for tonight". She then unlock the door and disappeared into the mansion.

Nichkhun smiled after hearing what she said. 'At least she's not really angry with me.' He drove home that night, feeling happy and contented for the first time since the disappearance of his daughter.

Stephanie shut the door and locked it. She breathed a sigh of relief and looked around the house. It was unusually quiet.

"I'm home" she called out. Then, Nanny Kim walked out from the kitchen.

"Nanny, where's Zachary?" she asked.

"He's asleep" Nanny Kim answered with a forced smile.

"What happened Nanny? Are you sick?" Stephanie asked worriedly. It's very rare to see Nanny Kim unhappy. There must be something.

"I-Its nothing" the latter shook her head.

"Are you sure? Have you guys eaten yet?"

"Yes I'm sure. I cooked pasta earlier since Zachary wouldn't stop crying. He wanted me to call you but I told him not to bother you"

"I'm really sorry Nanny. I didn't mean to come home late...its just that something came up" Stephanie felt guilty.

"I hope Zachary wasn't naughty earlier. Did he finish his food?" She added.

"Don't you worry about that. He can be a handful sometimes but Zachary is a good kid. He finished his food" Nanny Kim smiled sincerely this time.

"Are you sure nothing is wrong? You look pale" Stephanie asked once more.

"Really I'm fine Ma'am. You should go up and rest while I clean the kitchen" Nanny Kim said.

"Alright. You get some rest too. Good night nanny" Stephanie hugged the latter and added "I don't know what I would do if you're not here".

"Good night too Ma'am" Nanny Kim whispered after Stephanie disappeared from her sight.

She took out a letter from her pocket and examined it again. Tears finally rolled down her face as she read it for the nth time.

Dear Mother,

I hope you're doing well with your job. I'm just writing to let you know that Seoni and I had divorced a few months ago. We made a deal that I'm taking Baerin while she takes Junmi. Just a month ago, Baerin got really sick and the doctor confirmed that she's suffering from leukemia. She's currently staying at Seoul Hospital so if you still care about us, I hope you would come and visit.

Kim Sunjong.

'How could this happen to little Baerin?' Nanny Kim cried silently as she hugged the letter close to her chest.

Meanwhile, Stephanie got changed into her pajamas. Her mind wouldn't stop thinking about her dinner earlier with Nichkhun. Stephanie touched her chest as she felt her heart beating uncontrollably.

'Why are you being this way heart? Tell me, do you still have feelings left for that monster?'

Stephanie shook her head and laid down on the bed. As she was about to drift off to dreamland, her phone ranged.

She picked it up after seeing Siwon's name.

"Hey Oppa"

"Steph, are you asleep yet?"

"I'm just about to drift off when you called"

"Really? I'm so sorry. I just couldn't sleep and I really need someone to talk
