Baekhyun’s POV

 

The music suddenly stopped and someone tapped the mic which made all of our attention focus on the person on the stage.

 

“Are you guys having fun tonight?” Nichkhun shouted on the mic and earned him a ‘Yeah’ from the students. “Well, that’s good. As you all know, our Winter Formal is one of the most awaited even in Gong School of Performing Arts. I guess many of you are wondering who’s gonna be our guest tonight, right?”

 

“YEAH!”

 

“Well, we all just have to wait a little bit more.” Nichkhun said grinning. “But for now, may we ask the EXO to please come on stage.”

 

The students shriek after they heard our name. I guess they all know what we are about to do. When we got there, the staffs handed our mics and our earpiece and walked up the stage.

 

Yes, we are going to perform tonight. Nichkhu asked us a few weeks before the formal if we could perform and we gladly accepted it. We also decided that we are going to perform Call Me Baby and Love Me Right.

 

As soon as the music starts, the scream of the students here got even louder. Some of them even took out their phones and started filming us.

After the CMB, we sang LMR, right away.

After our performance, we walked back to our table and found the girls clapping wildly at us.

 

“Daebak! Again! Again!” Bom said while jumping up and down.

 

“Omo!” Dara covered her face with her hands. “Can I get your autograph?” She jokingly said which made us laugh.

 

“I can give it to you later.” I said and she suddenly clap her hands like a fan girl.

 

“Excuse me.” Nichkhun was once again on the stage. “You see this envelope right here?” He suddenly held the envelope us high. “This has the name of our Winter King and Queen.”

 

The students erupted a cheer and pump their hands up. When Nichkhun started to open the envelope, the students kept quiet.

 

“The first one I’ll be announcing is the Winter King.” He said.

 

“I hope it’s me.” Chen suddenly said out of nowhere.

 

“Yah. Are you okay?” Xiumin hyung said while laughing.

 

“Yes, I’m fine thank you.” Chen said like a diva which made us laugh.

 

“Byun Baekhyun!!”

 

“What?” I asked. Suddenly, the dorm was filled with a deafening cheer. “Seriously, who called me?”

 

“Aren’t you listening?” Dara shouted because of the noise.

 

“No. Who called me?” I shouted back.

 

“Yah! Nichkhun just announced that you’re the Winter King!” Suho hyung shouted.

 

“Mwoah?! Me?” I said in disbelief while pointing at myself.

 

“YES!” They all shouted at me.

 

“Now go up to the stage!” CL said while clapping.

 

I walked up to the stage in shock. Nichkhun put the silver crown on my head and congratulated me. He also said that I should stay on the stage and wait for the Winter Queen to be announced.

 

“And for our Winter Queen…” Nichkhun said while looking at the crowd. For a moment there, I was hoping that it would be Dara. Kkk. “Sandara!” Nichkhun suddenly shouted and clapped his hands.

 

The students and I could help but to cheer as we heard who the Winter Queen was. Dara walked up to the stage with a small smile on her face.

 

“Congratulations.” Nichkhun said while placing the crown on top of her head.

 

“Thanks.” Dara said and stand beside me.

 

“Congratulations.” I said and hugged her side ways. She chuckle at that and said ‘thanks’.

 

“And now may we ask the King and Queen to go down the stage and go the center for the King and Queen’s dance.” We did what we are told to do and stood on the center of the gym. “And to make this dance more special, Ms. Jessica Jung will sing ‘Love Me The Same’ to the couple. Ms. Jessica?”

 

Jessica sunbae suddenly walked on the stage wearing her cute white dress and waved to the students, who are now shouting, if I may add.

 

“Nae, annyeonghaseyo.” Jessica sunbae said on the mic. “Are you having fun tonight?”

 

“YES!”

 

“I would like to congratulate Baekhyun and my little sis for being the King and Queen tonight.” She looked at us and clapped her hands.

As the song started, I wrap my right arm around Dara’s waist and I held her right hand with my left one while she put her left hand on my shoulder.

 

We slowly got captivate by the slow rhythm of the song and we couldn’t help but to look at each other’s eyes. The more I look at her face, the more I doubt if she’s really human or not. The goddess beauty of her is just mesmerizing. And as this dance goes on, the more I realize that I like her, so much.

 

But, does she feels the same?

 

I blink back in reality when I heard everyone clapped. I looked at the stage and found Jessica sunbae smiling at us and I realized that the song ended. I looked at Dara again and found her smiling cutely at me.

 

“Ahh! Kyeowo.” I said and pinch her cheeks.

 

“Ouch!” She said and swatted my hands away while glaring at me.

 

We walked back on our table and found all of them grinning teasingly at us and not a minute later, Jessica sunbae joined us.

 

“Unnie!” Bom said and hugged Jessica sunbae.

 

“Annyeong unnie.” Minzy and CL said and hugged Jessica sunbae.

 

“Annyeong sunbae.” The guys greeted her and bowed.

 

“Hello. Hello. Hello to all of you.” She said cheerfully.

 

“Unnie, why didn’t you tell us that you are going to be here?” Bom asked and pouted.

 

“Well, they told me to keep it a secret ‘cuz it’s a surprise.” Jessica sunbae shrugged her shoulders.

 

“Did this unnie know?” Minzy asked and pointed to Dara which Jessica sunbae nod.

 

“Yah! How come you didn’t tell us?” Bom asked and hit Dara on her arm.

 

“Ow!” Dara exclaimed. “Which part of ‘it’s a surprise’ you don’t understand?”

 

“Oh! Right. Sorry.” Bom said and smiled sheepishly.

 

“Sunbae, are you staying or are you going somewhere?” Chanyeol asked.

 

“I’m staying, if you don’t mind.” Jessica sunbae said and we shake our heads. “And besides, the party will be done in 2 hours.”

 

After that, we went back to the dance floor and enjoyed the night more. We also went back to the photo booth to take more pictures, but now with Jessica sunbae.

 

It was around 2 in the morning when the formal was over and the principal said a few words to us before she let us go. She thank us for our participation and for the good behavior we have shown.

 

“Urgh! I’m hungry.” Xiumin hyung said as we walked to our vans.

 

“Me too!” Bom said.

 

“Do you want to eat outside?” Dara asked.

 

“Wearing this?” Chen asked back while pointing to the tux and the gowns everyone was wearing.

 

Dara shrugged her shoulders and said. “So? It’s not like people are still out this time.”

 

“Good point.” Kai said.

 

“So, where do you guys want to eat?” Suho hyung said.

 

“Uhh. Unnie, do you know any place that is still open this time?” CL asked Jessica sunbae.

 

“Hmmm…” Jessica sunbaeplace her hand on her chin. “McDonalds is still open. The one near YG building. They are open 24/7.”

 

“Great! Let’s go there.” Sehun said. “I just realize I’m hungry too.”

 

“So, we’ll just meet you girls there?” Kyungsoo asked them and the girls nod.

 

Not a minute later, all of us are in our vans and are on our way to McDonalds. We were trailing behind the girls because they know the route to the place than us. After 10 minutes, we arrived at the place as it sure don’t have any customers.

 

“Well, this place looks deserted.” I said.

 

“Yeah, considering the time.” Dara shrugged her shoulders.

 

“Ah… I remember the days when the four of us, together with Jessica unnie, and other YG artists, eat here when they would have free time at this very time.” Bom said with a sigh at the end.

 

“Right. I miss those days.” Minzy agreed.

 

“Why? Why did you miss it?” Lay hyung asked them.

 

“Most of them are busy these past few years. They barely got rest day, and if they do they will catch up with sleep or spend it with their family.” Jessica sunbae said.

 

“Yeah. Let’s stop with the flashback, it’s not Friday.” Dara said. “And I thought we went here to eat?”

 

“Right!” Xiumin hyung suddenly exclaimed. “Let’s go.”

 

All of us ordered our food and we didn’t wait that long since we are the only customer here.

 

“Guys, I’m taking a picture. Smile!”

 

We barely got time to properly smile when Jessica sunbae took the shot. Surprisingly, the picture came out great and everyone was happily eating their meal and talking to each other. I found Dara staring at nothing in particular. She looks like she’s in deep thought.

 

I bump my shoulder to her and she jump a little in surprise and looked at me questioningly. “Penny for your thoughts?”

 

“They’re worth a dollar.” Dara smiled and I couldn’t help but to chuckle.

 

“But, seriously. What were you thinking?” I asked curiously.

 

“Oh, nothing.” She looked away from me and crossed her arms. “The exhaustion is kicking in. Making me feel tired.”

 

“Yeah. This was one heck of a night.” I said amused. Dara chuckled and put her head on my shoulders. My heart skipped a beat when she did that.

 

“Aish! Look at these two. Being all lovey-dovey.” Xiumin hyung said teasingly making all of them looked at us.

 

“What are you talking about hyung? Dara just put her head on my shoulder because she’s tired.” I said fighting back the blush that is slowly creeping on my cheeks. “Right Dara?”

 

I looked at her and found her looking at the window and staring at nothing, again.

 

“Yah! Dara-yah.” Bom said and snapped her finger in front of her face.

 

“Huh? I’m sorry what?” She asked blinking back to reality.

 

“Why are you zoning out?” Bom asked.

 

“I’m just tired.” She said and forced a smile.

 

“Well!” Chanyeol said said loudly and clapped his hands. “I guess that’s it for the night.” He looked at his watch for a second and said. “I mean morning.”

 

The rest of us started to stand and throw our garbage away. When we got outside, I grabbed Dara’s hand, which is way, way softer than expected by the way, causing her to look at me.

 

“Are you really okay?” I asked worriedly.

 

“Yes.” She didn’t even bat an eye when she said that. “I told you I’m just tired.”

 

I pause for a second and sigh. “Alright. Good night Dara.” I walked closer to her and kissed her forehead. She seem to stiffen at a second but relaxed right after. For a second I thought I did a mistake.

 

She smiled genuinely at me and said her good night and went in their van together with the girls.

 

“You look like a creep.” Someone said behind me making me jump in surprise.

 

“Jesus!” I exclaimed holding my jumping heart. D.O. raised his eyebrows at me.

 

“Stop look at her while smiling like an idiot. You look like a e.”

 

“I do not!” I exclaimed again.

 

“Of course you’re not.” He rolled his eyes at me and walked away. “Come on. You better start walking to our van if you don’t want to be left behind.”
