  My world I keep stopping When you’re not around.    

 

It’s raining again tonight though lightly. The raindrops hitting the rooftop making a pleasant melody that soothes one heart. Although it’s a light drizzle outside, the wind is too cold sending thousands of chills to the bones. It has been like this since a few days ago.   Hanbin is supposed to be sleeping in his own room tonight but there has been a change of plan; not one that he complains about. For the night he will be sleeping in Yunhyeong and Chanwoo’s room so that he can take care of the youngest maknae with Yunhyeong who sadly has gotten himself a fever in the middle of the summer.   Their schedules are packed, too packed to say the least. With their second album in progress; the recordings, dance practices and the hustle and bustle for another brand new comeback bring pressure to each of the boys. Day by day, all of them found out that their energy is slowly depleting and fatigue is getting the best at them. Not to mention all the abroad concerts and events, the members are so tired and worn out with the hectic schedules they have.   They have just returned from their concert in Nanjing and that is when Chanwoo fell sick. The fever and flu attacking his already tired body in full force until he couldn’t even wake up from his bed this morning for breakfast. Donghyuk was the one who found him in that kind of condition when he was about to call the maknae to eat since none of them had their stomachs filled up in the plane last night.   In the end here they are; Chanwoo is safely tucked under the thick blankets with Hanbin wrapping the shivering maknae close in his embrace –the leader said it’s to provide more heat to the younger; others don’t dare to say anything about it though they are completely baffled and amused with the sight– while Yunhyeong and Donghyuk are doing some clean up after the maknae has his dinner on bed. His whole body is numb from the fever and the other members can only watch the maknae all feverish and weak on the bed warmly covered with blankets to drive the coldness away.   By the time Yunhyeong and Donghyuk have done, Junhwe comes into the room bringing in the heater from the living room to the twin monster’s room. One of his eyebrows raised watching how Hanbin has the sleepy maknae in his arms, something that he has never seen before in the halftime of his life living with the leader. Usually he would always see Hanbin hugging Jinhwan or Bobby like that but it has never been Chanwoo in that arms of Hanbin before. But Junhwe decides to say nothing. He walks away to the doorframe standing beside the worried Jinhwan after he has done plucking in the heater.   “How is his fever doing?” The eldest of them asks to Hanbin since he is the only one being so close to the maknae right now.   A heavy sigh from Hanbin makes the eyebrow of Junhwe lifts up even higher, but still no words coming out from him. “His whole body is burning up. Even his breath feels hot. I’m afraid the fever won’t be coming down until tomorrow morning.” Hanbin says with his right hand caressing Chanwoo’s forehead softly, trying to get the temperature roughly by the feel on his skin. His left arm is entirely used as a pillow for the maknae’s body thus he can’t move much. From his body posture, the way his hand caresses the younger’s head and his none-of-the-usual expression astound Yunhyeong who is sitting on the edge of the bed beside Chanwoo. He has his eyes widen even bigger than Junhwe and eyebrows furrowing in utter astonishment. But just like Junhwe, he doesn’t say anything.   Jinhwan on the other side has his worries increasing tenfold than the usual. This is the first time they handle such a situation. Chanwoo couldn’t even wake up by his own and he even vomited once after Donghyuk woke him up. The sound of his ragging breath reaches the door and that worried everyone a lot. They have never seen the maknae falls sick like this. Not this bad. Donghyuk who has just returned from the kitchen even has the frown on his face hearing Chanwoo’s labored breath all the way until the doorframe.   “Let’s just wait until tomorrow morning. If his fever is not going down until then, we’ll get Yunhyuk hyung to send him to the hospital.” Jinhwan says much like giving out order and the others agree with him. He left the doorframe afterwards retreating to his own room to take a rest after the long day worrying sick and taking care of the maknae. He pulls Junhwe along with him bringing the younger out from his own reverie while Donghyuk bids Hanbin and Yunhyeong a goodnight wish before he walks to the maknae and holds his hand tightly whispering to his ear asking the maknae to get well soon. He follows the two to his own room to call it a night.   Yunhyeong closes the door and turns off the lamp before he sits back on Chanwoo’s bed. He takes the thermometer on the bedside table and puts it into Chanwoo’s mouth carefully not to wake the feverish maknae up. He lets it stay in there for a while and then he pulls it out slowly to read the temperature. Another heavy sigh comes out from his mouth worrying Hanbin more.   “God, his temperature is 39.2. That’s too high.” Yunhyeong’s words have Hanbin opens his eyes widely in alarm. His body tense when his brain processes the number in his head. His left hand grips on Chanwoo’s shoulder tightly and he brings the younger’s body closer to him ignoring the fact that the maknae’s breath could hit him and he can get infected next. “What the?! That’s insane hyung!” Hanbin retorts in a whisper trying not to disturb the maknae sleeping.   “I know. But just like what Jinhwan hyung said, we have to wait until tomorrow morning. Besides, I’m sure that his fever would go down by tonight. We just have to stay cautious and take a very good care of him.” Yunhyeong says being his optimistic self again to assure Hanbin. The leader can do nothing at this point other than to agree with him and the two decided to stay up all night taking care of the sick maknae.   Between the minutes of watching Chanwoo sleeping and playing with their phones while fighting the sleepiness away, Yunhyeong has his mind full thinking about Hanbin’s odd behavior of the day. After he woke up this morning hearing from Bobby that Chanwoo was sick and the others were in his room trying to figure up what they were going to do with the maknae, Hanbin went a total berserk. With the pajama still on, face and teeth hadn’t washed yet he stomped into the room and pushed everyone aside so that he could reach the maknae –it was not like he really pushed them until one of them stumbled to the floor but he still pushed them–.   His face was all calm but the panic in his eyes didn’t went unnoticed by the members. Then they saw Hanbin getting all so serious but at the same time blur when he pulled Chanwoo close to him and tried to see what was wrong with the maknae. While Jinhwan was busy giving orders to Donghyuk and Yunhyeong on what they should get for the maknae, Hanbin was sitting on the bed still holding the maknae close to him. Perhaps the others didn’t realize it at that time –except for Junhwe he thought because the latter looked as puzzled as he was when he also witnessed the scene this morning– but he saw it very clearly how Hanbin’s orbs quivering as if he was shocked and … scared? But why?
