“You look awfully happy tonight.”   It’s a simple statement, muttered out slowly from his mouth, as he watches the unusual jubilant of Chanwoo whom has his right hand holding the chopsticks while humming a song as he eats his dinner. The younger doesn’t reply, he only smiles –a very big one– and continues on digging his food. Not even minding the raise of eyebrows he got from the other.   “Tell me Chanwoo, did you just win any contest or such? Any games you have mastered on playing? Because your expression and this excessive glitters of joy is choking me.”   “Wshat hyong, I don’t gwet chu.”   The maknae answers with his mouth full of food, only making him much irritated. Especially when he found the remark of the younger is in the form of taunting him. Of course, this is not the first time Chanwoo shows his childish and evil-maknae side to him but it is just different tonight. The maknae is very different.   And although it is not something bad, but Yunhyeong is deadly curious on finding the causes behind it.   “How’s your wound by the way? Does it still hurt?” Having the nuance he won’t be getting anything spilled out from the maknae, Yunhyeong decides to change course. After all, his curiosity can wait.   “It’s not painful anymore. But, sometimes when I move, it feels uncomfortable.” The younger as he puts down his chopsticks and rubs slowly at the area of the surgery; on the left side down his abdomen, scarring his well-defined abs on his stomach. The side of it makes Yunhyeng slightly cringe looking at the deformed skin. “But don’t worry, hyung.” Chanwoo continues, catching Yunhyeong’s eyes to divert from his abdomen to his face, “I’ll be just fine. At least I’m all well and alive, right?” Chanwoo childishly utters, showing his big doe eyes with the usual V sign pose he loves to do. It warms Yunhyeong’s heart because he can’t stop the smile of relief painting his handsome face now. Looking at how bright and energetic Chanwoo is at the moment matters the most. He is alive and no longer in pain. Yunhyeong is forever grateful for the maknae’s life to not be in the line of danger anymore.   His thoughts then flew to the person on the other side of the town; staying inside his own secluded cave of studio, working his off like always, although Yunhyeong knows that the other’s mind is completely hovered over the younger lad before his eyes.   Boy, how good it is to be loved like that.   Yunhyeong feels his phone vibrating from inside his pocket. Taking it out he sees a message none other than Jinhwan, asking if he is alright taking after the maknae all alone for the night. They are asking about you.”   Chanwoo’s ears catch the latter’s name from Yunhyeong’s mouth and it doesn’t even take a minute for the red to appear brightly on his face. Chanwoo can hear his own heartbeat through his ears; hammering loudly inside his chest but it’s not hurting. He feels happy instead. How he misses the older so much after 4 days not seeing each other. The members told him that Hanbin has been busy working on the new songs thus it explains his absence from the hospital to visit him. Even though it pains him a little that Hanbin puts important on his works more than Chanwoo himself, he tries to bury the thoughts far away from his mind and instead be happy that sometimes the members that came to visit him would relay Hanbin’s messages to him, asking for Chanwoo to eat well and get well soon.   For others, they might think he is pathetic. But only with the knowledge of Hanbin is thinking and even wishing for his health, Chanwoo thinks that is more than enough to warm him up.   Yunhyeong takes note on the silence but he’s still not looking at the maknae as he knows how red as beef the maknae has become hearing his dear boyfriend’s name. He doesn’t need to see to know about it, because Yunhyeong just knows. The same goes to the other members, except for June because of his oblivious and idiocy, they are all too familiar with how even name can give effect to each of the love birds.   He doesn’t know how that works but love surely works in a mysterious way, isn’t it?   “Hyung, will I really be discharged soon?” Chanwoo changes the subject, asking a question that takes Yunhyeong by surprised. Now his eyes are on the maknae at last. “Of course you are. You wanted that right?” Incredulously he inquires. “What’s up with your voice?”   No idiot couldn’t tell that there is a hint of disappointment in Chanwoo’s voice. What’s wrong?”   He witnesses the silence. He sees the sigh coming out from his mouth. The confusion growing bigger and curiosity gnawing at him from the scene he is counter upon. What could be so disappointing about it is what concerned Yunhyeong. Just a few days ago they all see how happy the younger is when he is told that he will be discharged soon from the place and back to the stage like usual. But now, his current being is so confusing that it brings trouble to Yunhyeong.   “Tell me hyung…” Chanwoo breaks the agonizing silence. Yunhyeong is all ears to listen. “If I’m finally out from here, can I come back anytime later?”   Eyebrows knitted together in bewilderment. “What?” Yunhyeong is so puzzled on where the conversation is leading to. “Why? I—I mean, of course yeah, there are certain times where you got to come back for further checkup. The doctor mentioned it before, and we are all aware of that too.” He said, stuttering as trying to form right words after the unexpected shoot of question. “So what’s the deal though?”   “I—I know that too but…...” Chanwoo trails off. His whole behavior tonight is making Yunhyeong’s brain having an excessive working to figure out his strange character. Seriously, puzzling others has always been Donghyuk’s job with his smart brain and sometimes out of sudden maturity. He never thought Chanwoo could have this part of his too; wrecking others’ brain and patience. Seriously, what is this about?” He asks out in frustration, although it is only tiny shown but it is still there. The truth is everyone; including the fans, believe that Yunhyeong is an angel, never got mad, kind and charming. But he is not. He can be predictable yet unpredictable at the same time. He can be good and bad in a minute. He can also be negative. Which has always been his personality.   But people just want to see what they believe they want to see. He can’t argue with that.
