Just one time
For 10 seconds
Let me hug you   It would take a fool to not notice the subtle smile on Chanwoo’s lips every time he leaves to the hospital. His unusual neatness and uplifting attitude, his voice as if wrapped with honey making each words coming from his mouth much soft with delicacy. He has always been like that with Hanbin but now everything has changed.   Hanbin also does his checkup at the hospital. His parents, the members, their managers and even Yang Hyun Suk know about it. The only person which has no acknowledgement on it is only Jung Chanwoo. Though it is intentionally planned that way.   It was a week ago when he was called by his doctor for his monthly checkup. Bobby and Yunhyuk hyung came to accompany him. They came at 1 o’clock an hour after Chanwoo left to somewhere Hanbin didn’t know. He did his checkup; all the test and waiting for almost 2 hours. When it was time to leave, Hanbin finally saw him.   He had just left the doctor’s room when he saw Chanwoo standing over the vending machine a few meters away from where he was standing. Hanbin wanted to call over for him but Bobby had come in between and stop him. Hanbin furrowed his brows in confusion. He looked at Bobby asking him why but somehow the older looked troubled. That made Hanbin much puzzled.   “What’s wrong, hyung?” Hanbin asked, face in utter puzzlement.   “I—It’s….” It was strange at how Bobby looked so taken aback and speechless. He seemed lost yet his eyes were running away from Hanbin’s. Bobby was hiding something and Hanbin noticed that. He pushed Bobby gently out of his way and he walked over to where Chanwoo had gone to. The manager calling over him with Bobby still standing still at the side, hands gripping hairs in frustration.   Hanbin walked without paying any attention to Yunhyung’s calling. He tiled Chanwoo behind and found the younger walking into one room. He had no idea why but Hanbin’s heart felt unease without him knowing the reason. But he knew what was the first thing he thought of when he saw Chanwoo earlier.   Weird. Because Chanwoo’s checkup was supposed to be 3 weeks from now so why would he be in the hospital at this time? Hanbin’s mind was gathered with many thoughts and none of them he could answer. He is utterly confused.   He peeked through the small gap left by the ajar opened door. In there, what he saw was Chanwoo with another young girl inside the room. She was half lying on the bed while Chanwoo sat on the chair beside her bed. Hanbin watched over them for how long he could not count for. At first, he had thought that Chanwoo was visiting his sick friend or something and he could not help but to feel slightly bitter for Chanwoo not telling him about having a sick friend in the hospital. However, what he saw next changed his thought 180 degrees.   Hanbin didn’t know how to feel when he watched how close Chanwoo with the girl. How their gap looked non-existent, the small touches they shared, their laughter filling the room. Yet only 1 thing disturbed Hanbin’s mind greatly. It was how Chanwoo smiled with her that shook his entire being, shaking his body and shuddering his heart. He had never seen Chanwoo smiled that way with anyone except him. Moreover, Chanwoo’s smile looked much brighter and he looked very happy.   Hanbin couldn’t bear to watch any longer. He walked away from the room, steps heavy and mind foggy yet the only thing that illuminate his mind was the look in Chanwoo’s eyes looking at the girl.     We’ve already come so far       “Why did you never tell me about it, hyung?”   Eyes closed with heavy sigh escaping through his mouth is Jinhwan. The look of guiltiness and sadness portray clearly on his pristine face. The older let his gaze travels towards Hanbin sitting beside him on the latter’s bed, they are still haven’t left Hanbin’s room.   Of course, Jinhwan feels guilty. But he knows telling Hanbin about Chanwoo and Seunghee would only make Hanbin’s heart more broken and at the same time breaking his and others’ too.
