A week passes by in a flash. In another 3 days, Chanwoo would be discharged from the hospital back to home. This for sure brings delight to everyone especially s knowing that their maknae won’t be confined in his ward room anymore after this. But Chanwoo himself is much happier for his throat won’t be devouring all the nasty and bland foods any longer, though he doesn’t say that aloud.   He is sitting on his bed, like the usual while playing with his phone. s are not around to look after him but they promise to come over in the evening after they have finished the recording and practices. Of course, the practices and the comeback plan is going on like usual as Chanwoo’s unexpected surgery is unplanned for. But Yang Hyun Suk assures them that he will give the boys enough time to prepare and Chanwoo won’t be missing this comeback.   For that he is eternally grateful. Being a setback to s is the last thing he ever wanted in his life.   Another thing to be thought of is Hanbin’s strange behavior around Chanwoo lately. He quicly notices this a few days after his surgery. The younger too notice at how unusually stiff the leader has become. Like he isn’t himself or more precisely to be said, he has something under his sleeve that he doesn’t want anyone to find out about.   Yet of course, it is just Chanwoo’s theory. His desperate resolution in relieving his own sudden suffocating anxiety. For sure, Hanbin would be the last person on Earth to hide something from him. Not that Chanwoo cares about it anymore. Because no matter what happens he will always believe in Hanbin.   But still, he just can’t disperse the notion of his that said there is something off with the leader and s too.   All the thoughts are draining his energy out and the games are getting too boring. Putting the phone down, he has the urge to get some fresh air. Luckily he’s no longer in need of the IV drips or else Chanwoo would have to drag the metal stand anywhere he goes which he despises the most. Grabbing for the jacket his mother put out for him on the chair, he wears it and walks out from the room in a dash, slowly and careful enough not to wake his older brother who is sleeping soundly on the couch.   He has nowhere else to go in the vast white walls building except for the little garden they have outside, the only space other colors other than damn whitish could be seen. Green flashes in his eyes the moment he steps outside. Chanwoo inhales large amount of air, oh how he misses the smell of wet green grass and the feel of refreshing breeze hitting his face gently. He won’t be getting this when he’s outs from the place and Chanwoo admits he’s going to miss this; the freedom before all those flashing outfits and cameras’ flashes blinding his eyes.   He let his long dangling legs brought him along the way, passing through the flower beds and green lawns that is nice for his eyes to devour on instead of his phone screen. Chanwoo’s thought quickly flies to s. How delightful it would be if all of his hyungs are there with him, enjoying the scene alongside him. Especially his Hanbin hyung. Chanwoo’s heart races thousand beats thinking solely on that.   His thought is too preoccupied, not minding anything anymore other than the greenery and that is when he accidentally bumps into someone, causing himself to stumble backward and the said person to tumble down first to the floor. But Chanwoo’s reflex is quick as he manages to grab onto the person’s waist in time and balances himself, preventing both of them from falling. Pulling the stranger closer to stabilize both their weights, Chanwoo has the perfect view of the person in his arm.   How flustered he is to see it’s a she.   Either younger or the same age as him, she is wearing the same hospital gown; like him, except that she has a thick leather jacket covering her tiny frame. Chanwoo notices there is another thick layer of cloth bulging from behind her back, strapping her upper abdomen and chest. And his eyes catch the glimpse of white plaster sticking on her pale backhand. Must be the IV drips he thought. She must be still in treatment unlike him who will be out soon.   He has no idea how awkward their position is until the view of the girl blushing madly at him registers in his head. Only then his face turns red and eyes dilating in surprise. He slowly let he go as she hastily and shyly parts away from him. The two stand beside each other, bot
