I woke up to the blinding ray of the sun, I turned my body to ignore it only to hit my face on Joongki’s built chest. I slowly pulled away to see if I woke him up and I didn’t, he was still deep in his slumber. I smiled and raised my right hand to play with his hair. I never imagined that I would see him again, that I actually lived through the accident that was supposed to have ended my life.

I guess the big man up there is really looking out for me and my family since he has give us a second chance to be together again. Speaking of second chances, there’s someone that I have to visit today.

I sat up to get out of bed but Joongki only pulled me back down, once I landed on the bed he went on top of me and gave me a quick but passionate kiss on my lips.

“And where do you think you’re going Mrs. Song?” asked Joongki.

I rolled my eyes and kissed his cheek.

“Good morning to you too Mr. Song. I have to go see Ji Won today, Sung Joon said she’s finally allowed to see their baby.” I explained.

He sighed and his brows furrowed.

“I don’t understand why you need to see her. It’s her fault that you almost died.”

I pushed him off me and sat up while holding his hands.

“Honey, you know that we were unfair to her too. She did love you and you of all people should know that everybody deserves a second chance. You won’t understand why I keep on visiting her because you weren’t in that car with her. It was my fault we got into an accident, I was trying to save her and her baby. During that time, all I thought about were the precious moments we had as a family. When you finally met the twins and when we went on our first family vacation. It made me realize that I’ve already gotten what I wanted in life, a chance for a family with the man I love and a chance to make my children happy. I was grateful for every moment and when I looked at Ji Won, I realized that she hasn’t had the chance to have that yet so why would I deprive her of it. She just needed more love, she wasn’t wicked, she never had bad intentions. She just wanted to be loved. That’s why I constantly visit her because I’m the closest thing she’s got to a real friend and family.”

Joongki caressed my cheek and kissed my forehead.
