I'm frozen, I had no idea what to say to Joongki. He's asking me for a second chance but I just don't know if I'm ready.

"Hyekyo-ssi?" 

He got my attention and I took a sip of my wine before saying anything to him.

"Why should I give you a second chance?" I asked him. 

He placed down our glasses of wine and he held my hands.

"Hyekyo, I know I was wrong. I pushed you away from me because I was in love with someone else. I'm stupid for not realizing that you're the woman I love. I probably don't deserve this chance but I want to take it because I'm willing to do whatever it takes to have you back. I may not be the one you love anymore but I still love you so please love me again."

His eyes were watery, I could see the sincerity in his eyes. I badly want to say yes to him, to love him but something was stopping me. I still feel afraid of loving him once again, there's no pain but there's fear.

"Joongki, I still love you and believe me I want us to work but I can't. The pain was too great to be solved by your apology, the problem's not you, it's with me. I'm still broken and my heart is just trying to find a way to heal. So please, give me some time." I explained.

His face turned cold, I could tell that he was somehow frustrated with my answer.

"I don't get it Hyekyo, If you love me, you shouldn't be afraid of the risk." he said as he let go of my hand. I held his hand again and looked him in the eyes.

"Joongki, I'm just asking for a little bit more time. I love you but you have to understand that I can't just be with you right away. I'm trying to move on from the past and being with you each day is helping with that. You never know, maybe by the end of this trip, I'd be ready to give you that chance."

He stood up and brought me up with him, he wrapped his arms around my waist and looked into my eyes. 

"Hyekyo, this may be the alcohol speaking but there is something that I want to do to you that can't wait any longer. I've missed you so much."

I knew what he wanted to do, he was leaning closer to me, the tip of his nose was on mine and our lips were centimeters away from each other.

"Wait!" I told him.

I turned and picked up my glass of wine. I hurriedly drank all the wine inside and placed the empty glass on the lounge chair. I turned back to Joongki and pulled him by his collar. I smiled looking into his eyes and gave him small pecks on his lips.

"Stop teasing me." 

I laughed as he tightened his grip around my waist and deepened our kiss. We separated and l hugged him. Suddenly, I felt drops of water on my head, it was raining.
