Chapter 2
King's bodyguardChapter 2
The wounded bodyguard offered to take Andy to the kitchen – he apparently needed alcohol to cleanse the wounds properly. Andy followed the guy, who strode in front of him briskly, and watched the bloody scars. The white shirt covered them but not appropriately – the bodyguards, and whoever were under the king, weren’t allowed to be sloppy.
“How long have you been a bodyguard?” Andy asked.
Junjin looked at the king frightened.
“You aren’t allowed to talk to me?”
Junjin nodded.
“I am the king,” Andy smiled. “I can order you to talk, right? Or are you only allowed to speak through Minwoo?” he questioned interested.
The tall man nodded, biting his bottom lip nervously. Andy’s intense stare made him feel more uneasy. But he just turned his back at him, and continued leading the way, the brand new king scurrying behind him.
“You can’t even talk to me if I extremely needed it?” Andy tried.
Junjin shook his head again.
“You can’t even sneer?”
“…”
“Or scorn?”
“…”
“Ah! You can’t even ‘mmm’?”
“…”
The new king scoffed cutely, as the guy didn’t answer his questions, and just kept striding behind him, when he abruptly collided with the bodyguard, who had halted without a warning. Andy hissed at him, arm up, when he saw a person couple metres apart.
“Who is he…?” Andy whispered to the guy who couldn’t answer him. “Junjin-sshi,” he grabbed the sleeve of the shirt. “Who is he…?” he nibbled it.
“I am Eric Mun, your highness,” the man bowed. “I am your assistant.” he explained.
Andy examined the man from head to toe. He was older gentleman, just like Dongwan, and he wore a suit. If Andy had not known his occupation, he would have thought he was the head bodyguard. The hair was slicked to the side and it glowed under the light. The suit was expensive and Andy knew it had been bought by the late king.
“Eric-sshi?” Andy blinked his eyes. “Ah! I remember you!” He moved away from Junjin. “I used to sit on your lap all the time, right?” he referred to the childhood times.
The assistant laughed lowly and nodded. Junjin looked at both of them, then bowed deep, first to the assistant and then to the king, staying down far longer. When it had been long enough, he straightened his back and walked off to the kitchen.
“Why were you with the bodyguard? The castle is safe enough for you to walk around alone.” Eric spoke. “And if you need a bodyguard, you should turn to Lee Minwoo. He is the main.” he explained as if Andy was a newbie – Eric wasn’t far off.
“He needed something from the kitchen as well.” The king spoke. “Ah! Which reminds me! I am starving. Can I grab something to eat?”
Eric laughed strangely mockingly, and spun the king around. “If you just ring the bell in your room, someone will prepare you something you want. Your personal tasters will make sure nothing is poisoned.” he talked.
Andy was pushed towards the exit, further away from the kitchen where the bodyguard was getting alcohol for his scars. Eric kept telling what Andy wasn’t
