After that ‘incident’, James and Ann’s situation became ‘awkward’; even tough, some part of them wants to feel those Goosebumps and sparks again. ^^

One day, while Ann is cleaning the basement, a man called her.

“ANN!”

She then turns her head to the one who called her attention,

“IVAN!”

Ann opened the gate.

“What are you doing here?” Ann questioned.

“I have to talk to you.”

“About what?”

“Let’s just enter the house, shall we?” Ivan uttered as they opened the main door.

“What are we talking about?”

Ivan inhaled then exhaled. Ann felt nervous about it.

“Boss.”

“What’s wrong with Boss?” Ann questioned.

“Ann, promise me. This is only our secret.”

“Okay. Okay. This is our secret and what it is?”

“Boss.”

“What’s with boss?”

“He has an enemy.”

“And what is the connection with me?” Ann asked again. Getting confuse each second.

“Can you do me a favor?” Ivan uttered.

“What is it?”

“I want you to learn some self defense stuffs like learning how to use a gun or some Karate things would do.”

“Huh? What do you mean?! Hey, Ivan, I’m just a SLAVE, okay? Not a protector or something.”

“That’s the point, I want you to learn those stuffs because you have to protect boss. As what I’ve search, Boss have this big gang company enemy in town. Somewhat like, a big enemy in ganging or buying a gun or stuffs.  I will talk to boss that you have to be his PA and his slave. Don’t worry; I’ll pay you about being his PA so that you can pay your father’s debt. And I’ll teach you how to learn those stuffs. Okay? Are you agreeing with me?” Ivan explained and just sighed in the end.

Ann’s jaw drop. “What is he talking about? Gun stuff? But I’m afraid of it!” Ann screams in her mind.

“But, paying for my father’s debt. Alright. I’ll do it.” Ann sighed.

“Okay. Deal. When we will start?” Ann stated

“Tomorrow. I’ll pick you here, 4am.”

“4am?!”

“Yes, any problem with that?” Ivan asked.

“I need my beauty sleep.” Ann whispered.

Ivan chuckled. “Girl’s stuff.” Ivan said as he smiles.

“Sorry Ann. But this is for your father’s debt and for Boss’ health.”

“Fine.”

Ivan finally smiled as he went towards the main door.

“Bye Ann!”

Just then, Ivan vanished.

In James’ Office.

“Sir,”

“Ivan, what are you doing here?” James questioned.

“Sir, would you agree if Ann has to double her task?”

James give him a questioning look. “What task it would be?”

“I want her to learn how to use a gun and some Karate stuffs.” Ivan answered.

“What for?”

“Self defense.” Ivan lied.

“Oh. Okay.” James immediately agreed.

“Phew.” Ivan whispered.

“What time is she leaving?”

“4am.”

“Good. So that she will not disturb me for a while.”  James uttered.

“What do you mean, boss?”

“Nothing. Just go out and plan for that ‘self-defense’ thing.” James answered.

Ivan went out as he thought of something, “What does ‘disturb’ means?”

Ann was pacing back and forth in the living room. She just can’t believe she agreed with that double task issue.

“Ugh!,” she groaned in frustration.

While regretting her decision in the sofa, the door suddenly burst, revealing a tall, dark man.

“Who are you?” Ann asked as she walks towards the man’s direction.

Ann’s eyes widened, the man was soaking of blood!

“Miss,, can you help me?” the man uttered, stuttering in his voice.

Ann is in panic mode. She doesn’t know if she’ll the man or push him out.

While facing each other, James arrived.

“ANN!!”

Ann faces him as she gave him a scary look.

The man smirked, “Finally!” he thought.

“Who’s this?” James touched the man’s shoulder as he turned him around.

*PUNCH*

“Aah!!” Ann screamed in horror. The man just punched him!

Ann bend down to see James’ condition, there was a blood in the corner of his lips.

The man smirked again while holding his stabbed part.

“We meet again, Mr. Robert.” The man stated

“Who are you?” Ann fiercely asked as James wipes the blood in his lips.

The man smirked as James stared at him.

“He is…” James thought in his mind.

“Who is that guy?” Ann eagerly asked as soon James entered the house.

“Never mind that. Just rest. You’ll have a training tomorrow.”

“You knew it?”

“Yes. Ivan already made a deal with me.” James replied with a dark glare.

Ann just nodded and went to her room.

“Who is that guy? And why is he staring at me like that? Hmm, he seems much known person. His accent is so familiar and I’ve got a feeling that we’re close.. Whatever! I just need my beauty sleep. Better luck tomorrow!”
