5 years later, Amber (Yang Guo) went to Broken Heart Cliff so excited to see Soo Jung (Xiaolongnü) once again. But he waited from the dawn to the dusk and t  was no sign of Soojung. He became worried and tried to come up with all kinds of excuse on why Soo Jung (Xiaolongnü)was late. He camped there for days and weeks but Soojun still did not appear. Then a terror idea struck him.

He muttered in daze, “Could it be Soo Jung (Xiaolongnü) is dead and she is dead 5 years ago? She knew her internal injuries were deep and her days are few. So she had done all these so that I will be strong and have hope to live on?”

He then thoughtly deeply and recalled the day, Soo Jung (Xiaolongnü)passed him the water after she drank, it was slightly bitter and his eyes opened as he had gained revelation. He laughed bitterly and cried out loud,”Soojung, you did not consume but smashed the passionless flower antidote in powder for me to drink, you knew that even if you force me to eat it, I wouldn’t cos I would not bear to let you die. So you used this method and to let me live on, you create this 5 year false hope…..Argh….” Amber (Yang Guo) screamed at the top of his lungs.

On that day, Amber (Yang Guo) was totally heartbroken and thought he would never see Soo Jung (Xiaolongnü) again, then he saw

and so he wanted to jump down into the valley, wanting to smash himself up and end it all.  He looked up the sky and something familiar appeared.

Weirdly, Krystal from future burst into a weird laugh,
