Recap:
"Next time, come here on time, Mr. Byun," Mr. Kim rubs his temples. "We are going to sort the books today, kids. Grab a cart and get a partner. If anyone comes to the library, offer them help. That is all."
"So," Baekhyun eyes us all cheekily. "Who wants to be my partner?" Wait! I gasp. That’s it. I remember now. He's part of Exo. Chanyeol's friend.
End of Recap
Baekhyun must've mistaken my gasp as wanting to be partners with him, because next thing I know, I'm paired up with him and is currently sorting out the fantasy section. I find that he's a lot like Chanyeol, except more cocky and flirtatious. Definitely a playboy. I eye the Lightning Thief, the first book to the PJO series ruefully, before putting it back on the shelves. I wish my gasp was less audible, because Baekhyun was an extremely talkative person, and while I don't have anything against him, he's the type of person I wanted to avoid when I chose this elective. I also wish to find a way to put my headphones on and block out his voice without looking rude, because if I have to hear him talk about how many girls he's dated and how his current girlfriend (Taeyeon, I think her name was) is "a smoking hot babe" just one more time, I'll jump out the window and put myself out of my misery right then and there.
"Baekhyun-sshi," I interrupt him, my patience running thinner by the minute, "are you planning to actually do some work or are you going to make me do everything?" He stops his talking, and looks up to me in surprise.
"Hm? Oh. Yeah. Sure," he waves his hand dismissively. He picks up a random book and puts it on the shelf half-heartedly, then widens his eyes and plucks the Lightning Thief out of the shelf. I make a barely audible whimper, because I just put that book up, but suppresses it with great difficulty. "The Lightning Thief! The movie was awesome! I never knew it was a book, though!" He skims the summary on the back cover before frowning. "Twelve years old? I thought Percy was sixteen? How lame. Who wants to read a book about a twelve year old?"
"Harry Potter was eleven when he got accepted into Hogwarts," I remind him a bit harshly. "It's part of a long series. If the author made him sixteen when the series started, he would be in his mid twenties when the series ended. That would ruin everything." Baekhyun seems to take what I said in consideration, before looking confused again.
"Was that why they stopped making more movies? Because Percy was aging?"
"They stopped making the movies because they ," I retorted. "They changed everything about the books, and not in a good way."
"Hey!" Baekhyun protests. "I liked the movies!"
