CHAPTER 15
But What Do You Mean You're A Girl[CONTENTID1]Chapter 15[/CONTENTID1]
[CONTENTID2]"And..." Jisung waves her hand with a flourish, "I am finally done! What do you guys think? You can look now, Phoenix." Hesitantly opening my eyes, I see that everyone was looking at me with their mouths open. I squirm in my seat, uncomfortable with the attention. "I call this makeover, 'Blooming Rosebud'! Phoenix looks amazing, doesn't she?"
"Phoenix looks like an overdressed clown," Chohyun deadpans. "This is why you shouldn't have told Jisung you were a girl, Phoenix. I'm surprised she hasn't forced you into any dresses yet."
"Don't listen to him, Phoenix," Miyeon jumps in. "He's blind. You could pass off as an ulzzang."
"Ulzzang?" I questioned. "What's an ulzzang?"
"Slang for internet model," Henry smiles. "You really do look like one." Henry hands me a mirror, which I gladly take.
"Woah..." I breathed, looking at my reflection. "I don't look like myself at all." It was true; Jisung really did a number on me. My eyelids were colored in with light shades of pink and orange, which were lined with eyeliner. My face now had a rosy tint to it, thanks to the blush and pink lipstick. What was most shocking though, was my hair: instead of my usual short black haircut, a brown and pink ombre wig now adorned my head. Looking down, I can see that Jisung dressed me in a flowery blouse and poofy black skirt, too.
"Let's take a picture of my masterpiece," Jisung squeals. She pulls me up from my seat and closer to her. "Smile, Phoenix!" I did what I was told. The camera flash momentarily blinded me, but it was gone as quickly as it came. "Awww, you look so cute," She croons. "Let's take more. Everyone, get in the shot!"
"Do we have to?" Chohyun complains. "We get it, Phoenix looks like a girl now. D--"
"Yes," Jisung snaps. "Now get in the picture, before I kick you out of my house."
Naturally, they all got in the picture. 300 photos after, we were all tired from posing too much.
"Can I change back now?" I groan. "This skirt is really short. Like, really short."
"Nope," Jisung grins. "Let's go around town. See all the guys you attract."
"I bet at least ten," Miyeon declares.
"Fifteen," Henry argues. "I know how guys think and it's more than ten."
"Whoever wins gets fifty bucks." Jisung giggles. "I bet twenty."
"You guys are betting her off like an object," Chohyun looks at them incredulously. I agree with him.
"Yeah!" I jump in. "Chohyun is right! I'm not going to---"
"At least thirty," Chohyun rolls his eyes. I gape at him. I thought he was on my side? "I'm betting at least thirty guys will look at her."
"I'm done with you guys," I groan. "Why I decided to spend fall break with you, I have no clue. I'm leaving. Off to Chanyeol's house I go. He won't bet me off like this."
"No need," Miyeon waves her hands dismissively. "He's coming with us. Him and Kyungsoo. They should be here any minute now, actually."
"When did you have time to do this?!" I gawk. Miyeon laughs, gently patting me on the back.
"Don't underestimate my texting skills, kiddo." Then, the doorbell rang. Pouting, I clumsily walked towards the door as quick as I can in the two inch high heels Jisung forced me into. Honestly. I'm already tall enough, why do I need heels? Twisting the doorknob, I yank the door open.
