CHAPTER 30
But What Do You Mean You're A Girl[CONTENTID1]Chapter 30[/CONTENTID1]
[CONTENTID2] It's been a week since the kiss. I'd be lying if I told myself it didn't change anything. We've told no one, but the aura in the air had changed, and you'd have to be blind to not notice. Lately, Baekhyun's been more touchy. Flirtatious. Either that, or I just now started to notice. What's worse, I like it.
I shouldn't. If we somehow broke up on a bad ending, it'll be the end of our friendship.
But even that thought didn't stop me from wanting him. I've responded to the hugs, flirty comments, and the small kisses shared between us. I'm afraid of my feelings, and I'm afraid of my relationship with Baekhyun.
I sigh, tossing and turning. It was 8 AM, but I didn't want to get up. I close my eyes and forced myself to not think about those things. It's better to not think at all right now. Suddenly, my phone beeps twice.
A text message. Rising up, I open it. It was from Baekhyun, asking me if I was still up. I quickly replied, and got another message asking if I wanted to meet him at the park.
Smiling, I accepted. Getting out of bed, I got ready and stepped out of my room.
"Mom, I'll be in the park if you need me!" I yell out to her.
Then, I left.
I grin, slowly walking up to Baekhyun. I was behind him, and so far, he hadn't noticed my presence yet. Just when I was about to startle him, however, he abruptly turns around and scares me instead.
“Did you think I couldn’t hear you?” He laughs at my terrified expression. “I knew you were there the whole time.”
"A girl could dream," I answer playfully. Baekhyun gets up from the bench, and hugs me tightly. He smiles gently, and places a small kiss on my cheeks.
"You're dating me," he responds cheekily. "You already are living the dream." I snort, and pulled back from his embrace.
"Was there a reason you called me out on my day off?"
"No," Baekhyun hums. "I just wanted to see you." I hid the grin on my face with difficulty, and followed him to his car. "Do you have any places you'd want to go? It's your day off, babe. It'll be a waste if you don't do anything fun."
I cocked my head, trying to think of a place. "The movies, maybe. There's a new one coming out that's based on a book we both read."
"I can't wait to criticize it for every change they make," Baekhyun chuckles.
"Of course. The book is always better." He slings an arm around me, and leads me to his car. Leaning my head on his shoulders, I walked cheerfully with him.
After the date, we went to a nearby restaurant. It was nothing formal, but I enjoyed it either way. We sat in a small booth, the dimly lit lighting illuminates his handsome face.
"Hey, I really need to go take this call," Baekhyun frowns, waving his phone screen around. The caller ID says 'Sehunnie', with hearts after. "If I don't, Sehun's gonna blow a casket."
"Go ahead. I don't mind." He smiles thankfully at me, before walking off. I played on my phone for awhile, until a strangled sob nearby distra
