[CONTENTID2]"Kai, why do I have the feeling you know one of my secrets?" Kyungsoo deadpans, glaring at him. I snort, and picked up one of his dogs.  

We were currently in Kai's house right now, waiting for Baekhyun, Sehun and Suho to come. In order to pass time, Chanyeol and I decided to play with Kai's puppies, while Kyungsoo and Kai lounges on the couch.  

"He doesn't know one of your secrets, he knows one of mine," I corrected. "And he's being an extra dip because of it."  

"Do you regret telling me, princess?" Kai winks. From the corner of my eyes, I can see Chanyeol fake gag. Kai sits up, and calls for one of his poodles to come.  

"Phoenix, why did you tell him you're a girl?!" Chanyeol whines. "Now he's going to be even more obnoxious around you! I gotta keep you safe from him!" Kyungsoo scoffs, changing the TV channels with his remote.  

"You're both bad," Kyungsoo says, matter of factly. I grin, petting Monggu. Or, at least I think it's Monggu. It could be Kai's other poodles. "I have to protect Phoenix from the two of you, you know? It gets tiring after awhile." 

Kai looks at me fully for a moment, then smiles sincerely. "I won't hurt Phoenix. She's way too pure for that. However," His sly side comes out again, "if she does end up falling for me, then that would be something entirely dif--" 

"Go yourself," I intervened. Chanyeol snickers, playing with Monggu, who is currently sitting in my lap. Kyungsoo laughs also, while Kai exaggeratedly pouts.  

And then, the doorbell rings. Kai brightens up, and dashes towards the door. 

"Baek!" He yells happily. "I'm so glad you're here! They were bullying me!" Sehun pops up from behind Baekhyun, looking hurt. 

"What about me? What am I? Chopped liver?" Sehun huffs. Baekhyun smiles tiredly, and gestures for us to go outside. 

"Suho is already in Crescent Cafe. He's waiting for us. Let's go. I'll drive two of you. Kai can take the others." I sigh sadly, and hesitantly put down Kai's puppies. I had always loved animals more than humans, but both my parents were allergic. 

In the end, Sehun and I ended up in Baekhyun's sleek white car, while Kai drove Kyungsoo and Chanyeol. The ride wasn't at all silent, because of Sehun's blabbering, but Baekhyun was being strangely quiet throughout the whole ride.  

"Hey, Baek?" I frown worriedly. He faintly nods his head, an indication that he was listening. "Is something bothering you?" Baekhyun glances at me, and shakes his head reassuringly. 

"It's nothing. I'll tell you later. Let's enjoy our winter break, yeah?"  

Lies. If it was nothing, why does he look so affected by it? 

"I swear, you guys are my best customers," Jeonghan laughs, setting down our food. "Not only do you guys come often, you also bring other people in." 

"You should give us a discount for being so kind," Chanyeol jokes. He quickly grabs one of the cupcakes, and shoves it up his mouth. Suho cringes, handing Chanyeol a napkin.
