Donghae had to pull his phone away from his ear, or else, his right ear drum won’t be of use after a few seconds. When he thought that the person on the other line has stopped shouting, he placed the phone near his ear again, “Hyung…shouting won’t help.” he said annoyingly, “And I didn’t catch a thing you said.” he added.

Yesung let out a heavy sigh, “I’m sorry. I was just…” he heard another sigh, “I was supposed to meet Eunhyuk here at the lounge an hour ago and he’s still not here.”

His heart started thumping. His instincts never failed him before and it’s telling him that something is wrong. “Have you tried calling him?” he calmly asked though his mind is already working overtime, thinking where could Eunhyuk be.

“Yes, I have been trying for almost 20 minutes now. It goes directly to voicemail.” replied the worried Yesung, “I have already called his friends and they said he left school more than 2 hours ago.”

“That’s close to the last time I’ve talked to him.” whether he would like to admit or not, he’s starting to worry like crazy as well. This isn’t like Eunhyuk. He never, almost never misses a single phone call. He quickly made his way out of the embassy after deciding that he would just request beg for another appointment. Finding Eunhyuk as soon as possible is his priority right now.

Based from their timetable, no one has heard from Eunhyuk within the last couple of hours. Where could he be? He won’t be able to forgive himself if something happened to him when he swore to protect him with his life.

It has been two weeks since they forwarded the information they have gathered, information enough to re-open Hyukjae’s parents’ case. They weren’t hoping for a positive result though. The evidence they have gathered are enough to re-open the case but not solid enough to convict the suspects and the mastermind. A witness would have sealed the case’s victory but he wouldn’t risk Hyukjae’s life. There is no way that he’ll let the enemies know that Hyukjae is still alive. It was a good thing that Eunhyuk and the Kims agreed to his suggestion.

He has already informed his father of their discovery. He was expecting his father to be shocked and hurt of his friends’ betrayal but apparently, his father has already started his own investigation. What his father didn’t see coming was the fact that Hyukjae is still alive. His father, setting his own feelings aside, promised to help them with the case.

He was about to make another call to have Eunhyuk’s car traced when the screen flashed continuously, indicating that there’s an incoming call. Fear struck him at once. Unknown number. He answered the call but did not say anything.

“Ummm…hello?” said the person from the other line

Donghae did not know if he should be thankful that the voice was hesitant and almost cheerful. He should be, right?

“Who is this?” he asked

“Is this Mr. Lee Donghae?” the man boy asked

“Who wants to know?” he replied, annoyed at the boy for taking his time

“Eunhyuk-ssi asked me—”

“Eunhyuk!” he interrupted, “Where is he?! How is he?! Is he okay?! Who are you?!”

“Ah, Donghae-ssi…Eunhyuk-ssi asked me to call you. He’s in SNU Hospital.”

He didn’t know how he managed to get all the details without fainting. Eunhyuk has been involved in an accident! With wobbly knees and a weak heart, he made his way into the hospital without having an accident himself. He was so distraught. The thought of Eunhyuk possibly being taken away from him again was just too much to bear. And maybe…definitely,he won’t survive the grief this time if that happens.
