Heart To Heart
Iridescent LoveAs I feel his breath I forget to breathe, suddenly I cough, the cold air getting trapped in my throat, my eyes fly open in embarrassment as his face was close.
My cheeks burn in contrast to the cold as I shyly recoil from his chest, he just smiles and wipes his face from my cough.
“Charming” He huffs through his nose playfully, he sits up, his arms behind him propping him up “Do you always cough in peoples faces?”
I lie in the grass, looking up at his face where vibrant colours from the fireworks dance along his complexion. I inhale and let out a wheezy laugh.

“Sure” He shrugs without argument, but I am sure he has caught on, he is not stupid “Be careful on that road, I will wait for you on the pitch” I nod to him, feeling guilty as he walks away. I put my hand through my hair and cover my face as
I sit back down, I growl at the air in frustration. Why did I have to lie to get him to leave me alone? This is because he came too close, I always push people away right? This is no different from someone just getting in my face, except that he was going to- My head snaps up as I hear a branch crunch under someones foot, the sound jerks out from the woods, my eyes focus as I try to see who is there, who could disturb me now. I slide to my feet, my hands flaring
