Chapter Thirty Three

MiYu was dumbfounded when she heard what Kwangmin yelled. She shook her head and turned to him “I-I’m sorry, did you… did I… I mean, you-”
Kwangmin released a sigh and said “Forget it” then he stood up and walked ahead “K-Kwangmin?” MiYu said as he stopped him. “You said you were hungry right? Let’s go grab something to eat” Kwangmin said without looking at her then he continued to walk ahead “Uh” she said as she felt upset and followed him

While they were eating, Kwangmin was very quiet and he wasn’t eating much. MiYu was getting worried and she wanted to break the awkward silence but she couldn’t. She recalled her conversation with Minji before

Flashback

“Was that Kwangmin?”Minji asked “Yeah, he said that he wants to meet me at the old playground where we used to stay after school” MiYu replied “Really!? Wow, I smell a confession coming up” Minji said “Eh?” MiYu wondered and she felt a little bit nervous about what Minji said.

“H-Hold up, what do you mean by that?”MiYu said as she blocked Minji’s way “MiYu, don’t tell me that you’re this dense? What I mean by confession I mean he’s going to tell you that he loves you” said Minji “H-How do you know that?” MiYu asked once more “Kwangmin has been in love with you for more than you think, can’t you see that he treats you differently from other girls?” Minji responded “Eh? But that’s because we’re best friends and-” “Aside from being best friends, he loves you” said Minji and MiYu kept quiet. Minji smiled then she patted her on the back

“If ever he confesses, don’t treat him as if he’s fooling around, okay?”said Minji “E-Eh? B-But…” “I’ll see you around~” Minji said then she left.

-END of FLASHBACK-

“I am the worst. I have no rights to become friends with him. It’s better if I live in the caves and never show my face in front of him again” MiYu thought to herself then
“MiYu, forget about what I said okay? Let’s just act normal towards each other. I’ll be leaving tomorrow so let’s not get awkward” Kwangmin said but he wasn’t looking at her and MiYu just kept quiet.

                After lunch, MiYu headed back to the company building with low spirits. She was really low spirited that she tends to bump into someone without noticing it but then “Hey you!” a guy proclaimed, MiYu looked back and saw Gongchan walking towards her “U-Uh?” she said with a gloomy face

“(||-_-) What’s with the face? Are you sick or something?” he said “N-No” she replied then continued to walk away “Uh?” Gongchan wondered then she grabbed her hand and stopped her

“How dare you turn your back from me when it’s obvious that I called you for something right? are you trying to piss me off purposely?” he said then “Hey brat” said MiYu then she faced him with a gloomy face “Have you ever been confessed to by your best friend?” she asked “E-Eh? W-What’s this all of the sudden?” Gongchan responded. MiYu released a sigh and said “Forget it” then she continued her way

“Confessed by your best friend? Uh? Did Kwangmin confess to her already?” Gongchan asked himself.

In MiYu’s case, while she was doing her work, she still can’t get off of her mind what Kwangmin said “I can’t believe he actually said that but I’m such an idiot for saying those things to him. STUPID MIYU” she said to herself then she hit herself on the head.

“I seriously hate myself right now” she groaned. In Kwangmin’s case, his phone suddenly rang. He looked at the caller and it was his brother

*Phone Convo*

Youngmin: Hey, how did it go?
Kwangmin: What do you mean?
Youngmin: I mean, the confession
Kwangmin: Oh *upset* I… I didn’t confess
Youngmin: WHAT!? Why didn’t you!? You know, today is probably the last day you get to have her all to yourself since tomorrow will be a busy day, why did you not confess!?
Kwangmin: Because even if I did, she wouldn’t take it seriously
Youngmin: W-What do you mean?
Kwangmin: I mean, I… I… GAH! I don’t know, I have to go now, bye *hangs up*

*END of Phone Convo*

Kwangmin released a sigh as he remembered what he and Youngmin were talking about the night before

Flashback

While Kwangmin was packing his stuff in his room, “So you’re actually going to take over the company huh?” Youngmin inserted as he entered Kwangmin’s room “Uh? M-hm” Kwangmin replied then he continued to fix his things “You know, you don’t have to force yourself” said Youngmin “What do you mean?” Kwangmin responded “I know that you hate taking over the company as much as I do so why are you doing this?” said Youngmin “Hyung, even if I hate it you hate it more if you were the one to take over right? You’ve done a lot of things for me already so this time, let me do this one thing for you okay?” Kwangmin responded “Tch, I wish I could believe all those things you’ve said but… you know that you’ll be engaged to the Park Group’s daughter and that’s MiYu right? That’s why you chose to be the heir of the company just to be with her” said Youngmin. Kwangmin kept quiet for a while, he finished packing and after that, he turned to his brother

“You’re right”he said “I know” Youngmin responded and Kwangmin kept quiet. Youngmin released a sigh and said “Why? Do you think that this will be the only way to be together with you?” “Yeah” Kwangmin replied “Did you even try to confess?” asked Youngmin and Kwangmin shook his head “Idiot. If you just confessed then you don’t have to trouble yourself about taking over the company” said Youngmin “I told you, I’m not only doing this just to be with her but also for you”
“There’s no need to do it for me since I’ll take over the company! You’ll just confess to her and-”
“It’s not about whether I confess to her or not, alright!?” Kwangmin proclaimed and Youngmin was silenced. Kwangmin released a sigh and said “It’s not about me confessing my feelings to her, It’s about her feelings for me. I… I’m worried that if I confess to her, she might not take it seriously or… or she might say awkward things and I don’t want her to feel awkward but… ARGH!!! *sigh* I think that… my hopes for us to be together, would disappear” he sounded really worried and Youngmin felt a little bit bad for his brother. There was a silence between them, then…

“You know, I get what you’re saying but you should still confess. We might not know what will happen tomorrow or after you confess but I don’t want you to leave any regrets. You should decide what to do after you confess” he said then he left. Kwangmin released a huge sigh then he threw himself on his bed.

(Play: Crush by Sandeul)

“Decide what to do after confessing huh?” he said then he remembered what MiYu’s reaction was when he confessed to her. He remembered the words that she uttered after his confession

“I-I’m sorry, did you… did I… I mean, you-” (MiYu)
“Forget it” (Kwangmin)

Kwangmin released a sigh. In MiYu’s case, while she was working she still can’t forget the words that Kwangmin said to her

“MiYu, I love you!”   “I love you”

“Darn it, why? Why now you idiot?” she said

“Forget it” “Forget about what I said okay? Let’s just act normal towards each other. I’ll be leaving tomorrow so let’s not get awkward”

“You’re really an idiot Jo Kwangmin, how can I not get awkward after telling me that? Argsh” she added then she hit herself on the head and continued working.

After work, MiYu checked her phone and she didn’t receive any phone calls or message from Kwangmin “He must be mad at me” she said then she tried calling him but his phone was busy. She released a sigh and started fixing her things then BEEP. She received a text message from someone

(1 Message)
From: Jung Jinyoung
“Where are you now? I heard from Channie that you looked down a while ago, are you okay? Do you want to talk about something?”

MiYu smiled then after that, she replied to him. At a ramen house, “Ah, over here MiYu!” Jinyoung called as he saw MiYu enter the shop. MiYu turned to him and went near him “Have a seat” he said as he let MiYu sit down “Thanks” she replied.

“So how are things?” Jinyoung asked “As usual, we’ve been really busy because of the party tomorrow” MiYu replied “Heh, same here but we’re still looking forward for tomorrow’s party” said Jinyoung “Yeah” said MiYu “Ah, here, order something you like. My treat” said Jinyoung. MiYu smiled and nodded her head as she looked at the menu

Meanwhile, in B1A4’s apartment…

“Where did hyung go?” Baro asked “He went out just a while ago” Sandeul replied “I think he met up with MiYu-ssi” CNU added “Eh?” the other two wondered then they turned to Gongchan “What?” he said “Are you okay with it?” Baro asked. Gongchan released a sigh and turned to them “Listen, whatever those two are up to is none of my business okay? Besides, I’m not even dating that Pak MiYu so it’s not like I can tell her what she should or shouldn’t do” he said “But... you like her, right?” Sandeul asked. Gongchan didn’t answer, instead, he went to his room and shut the door close

He sat on his bed and recalled what MiYu asked him a while ago at the company building

“Have you ever been confessed to by your best friend?” –MiYu

“When she said that, she must’ve meant Kwangmin for sure” he said then he lied down on his bed and looked at the ceiling

                Back in MiYu and Jinyoung’s case, she told Jinyoung what happened between her and Kwangmin, after that…

“I see, you shouldn’t have done that you know” he said “I already know that” said MiYu then she released a huge sigh. Jinyoung smiled and said “You’re cute when you’re like this” MiYu blushed and looked away “S-Shut up” she said. He laughed then took a sip of his drink.

After eating, they decided to take a short walk around the park. They arrived at the spot where Jinyoung confessed to her. “Feels nostalgic” said Jinyoung and MiYu gave him a glare “Haha, kidding” he said. MiYu sat down on the bench and Jinyoung sat next to her. There was a silence between them, then

“Sorry” said MiYu “For what?” Jinyoung asked “Umm, you know… that day… and I couldn’t return your feelings” she replied as she was looking the other way, Jinyoung smiled and said “Don’t worry. You’re not at fault at all I mean, who am I to tell you to like me back?” “Heh, but you know, to tell you the truth I did like you but I guess that type of ‘like’ was different. I feel embarrassed whenever we’re together and I also feel my heart beating fast but it was only because I was embarrassed” said MiYu “Really? So it’s different when your heart beats fast towards Channie huh” said Jinyoung “Yea- WAIT! NO!” MiYu proclaimed. Jinyoung laughed and said “Got you” then he stuck his tongue out. MiYu felt irritated and she started to playfully hit him “I did not mean it that way! Don’t misunderstand!” she proclaimed. Jinyoung continued to laugh then MiYu got tired and sat back down

She sighed and said “What am I going to do?” Jinyoung sat back and asked “Do you feel the same way as him?” “I don’t know, I love him but it’s different. I guess, I just love him as a friend” she replied. “Then tell him that” said Jinyoung “But I’m scared that our friendship will get destroyed if ever I tell him that” said MiYu “Then what are you supposed to do? Tell him that you feel the same way even though you really don’t? Will you be happy?” said Jinyoung and MiYu didn’t respond. He released a sigh and said “You know, you shouldn’t worry about your friendship. I don’t think Kwangmin is the type of guy who would get mad at you if you tell him your true feelings” MiYu turned to him and said “Yeah” then she let out a weak smile “Uh, heh, really…” Jinyoung said then he ruffled her hair “H-Hey!” she cried “*laughs* let’s go back?” he said, MiYu nodded her head and the two of them headed back to the apartment building.

The next day, “Did you make sure that the chef will prepare the food on time?” Minji asked “Yes Ma’am” the worker replied

“MiYu, did you call the managers of the idol groups and informed them about the correct time?”
“Yes sis” MiYu replied
“Okay, I’ll call Kwangmin and ask him if the venue is all prepared” said Minji.

*Phone Convo*

Kwangmin: Hello?
Minji: Kwangmin, how’s the venue? Is it all prepared?
Kwangmin: Uh? Noona, yes. It’s all prepared
Minji: Good to know ^^ so it’s your last day already huh
Kwangmin: Yeah
Minji: When’s your flight?
Kwangmin: Tonight, 9:10 PM
Minji: I see
Kwangmin: Umm, noona, is MiYu there?
Minji: MiYu? *looks at MiYu and noticed that she was in deep thought* yeah, she’s here but she’s a little busy right now
Kwangmin: Oh, I see. I guess I’ll see her at the party then
Minji: Yeah, you will. Bye *hangs up*

*END of CONVO*

Minji went near her and poked her face “Uh?” MiYu said as she went back to her normal self. She turned to Minji and asked “What’s up?” “You seem to be in deep thought” Minji replied as she sat next to her “Oh. It’s nothing” said MiYu “Yeah right, I bet you’re thinking about Kwangmin. It’s his last day today and it seems like the two of you aren’t in good terms” said Minji and MiYu just kept quiet. “Uh? Heh” said Minji.

                A few hours have passed and it was time for the party already. There were a lot of idol groups who came.

Youngjae noticed that Daehyun was busy looking around instead of talking to the other guests, he grinned and said “You’re looking for MiYu-ssi aren’t you?” “Uh? What? I’m not looking for her” Daehyun responded then he continued to look around. “Heh, yeah right” Youngjae mumbled then “Oh look, it’s MiYu-ssi” he said, Daehyun immediately turned to him and asked “Where?” as he was looking around but then Youngjae laughed and said “You’re definitely looking for her!” Daehyun made a (=__=) face then he tackled Youngjae.

Suddenly, “Hey you two, we’re at a party not in a playground” they turned around and was surprised to see MiYu. Daehyun looked stunned after seeing her. She was wearing a white dress and her hair was curled in the ends and she wore a headband with a huge white ribbon on the side “What’s wrong?” she asked as she also noticed that Youngjae was staring at her as well “A-Angel” the two of them said in unison and she made a (-__-) face

“S-Sorry to upset you! It’s just that… well… umm” Daehyun was starting to get embarrassed and it was obvious because he was starting to sweat. MiYu chuckled and said “Thanks for the compliment” then she showed them a big smile. Youngjae blushed but Daehyun felt like something was wrong “MiYu-ssi” he said “Hmm?” MiYu said as she turned to him “Are you okay?” he asked “Uh?” both MiYu and Youngjae wondered

“Y-Yah, Daehyun, what are you talking about? Of course MiYu-ssi is okay I mean, why wouldn’t she be okay?” said Youngjae. MiYu was about to speak up but then “Hey MiYu!” they heard someone call her. They turned around and saw Baro and Jinyoung “Hey” Jinyoung greeted with a smile on his face. “Hey guys” Baro also greeted the other two then

“Umm, Jinyoung… have you seen Kwangmin?” MiYu asked as she approached Jinyoung “Oh, he’s over there at the right side, seems like he’s busy with his camera” Jinyoung replied “I see” MiYu said. Jinyoung smiled and patted her on the head “You can do it” he said. MiYu gave a weak smile and nodded her head then she went ahead.

“What was that all about hyung?” Baro asked “Oh nothing ^^” Jinyoung responded “Uh” the other guys said, then…

“Ah! I just realized, MiYu’s wearing a white dress and Kwangmin was also wearing a white suit” said Jinyoung “So? What’s with that?” Baro questioned then “They look like they’re about to get married” Youngjae inserted “Exactly” said Jinyoung. Both Daehyun and Baro went (=.=) “Hyung I thought you were on Channie’s side!” Baro proclaimed “I am, I’m just saying. Sheesh” said Jinyoung

                In Kwangmin’s case, he was looking at the pictures on his camera and most of them were stolen shots of MiYu. He smiled as he recalled some funny experiences that he has encountered with her in every picture.  Then he remembered when he supposedly confessed to her but then took it back,

“Seriously, what was I thinking?” he said to himself, he released a huge sigh and decided to start taking pictures. As he was looking through the lens, he spotted a girl dressed in white walking towards him “Uh?” he wondered. He put down his camera and faced the girl

“MiYu” he said “Can I talk to you?” she asked. Kwangmin noticed that she was blushing, he smirked and said “Okay”

                On the other hand, “I don’t see MiYu-ssi around” said Sandeul “Maybe she’s busy talking to other stars. We’re not the only ones she’s worked with” said CNU “Yeah, I guess you’re right” said Sandeul then he also noticed something “Where’s Channie?” he asked and CNU went (.__.?)

In Kwangmin and MiYu’s case, they decided to go outside to the balcony where no one was around. The two were quiet as they stepped out and they were looking at the night sky

“It’s surprising that tonight, there are a lot of stars” Kwangmin said as he broke the silence “Uh, m-hm” MiYu responded then she kept quiet. Kwangmin turned to her and noticed that she was hesitating to tell him something, he sighed and said “So what is it?” “Uh” MiYu said then she turned to him

“Hmm?” Kwangmin said then “A-About last time… at the playground… I-” “STOP” Kwangmin cut her off “Uh?” she wondered
“I told you before, forget it. Forget what I said to you” he said
“B-But Kwangmin, I want you to hear what I have to say, I-”
“MiYu… please… don’t give your reply right now until I’ve properly confessed” he said
“U-Uh, Kwangmin…” she said. Kwangmin released a sigh then he suddenly grabbed her and hugged her tightly

“Idiot, I’ll only be gone for 6 months that’s why I think that it’s not yet the right time to say something. So please, your reply… I don’t want to hear it until I have properly confessed” he said while they were hugging. “Kwangmin…” said MiYu. She didn’t know why but she felt relieved and a really warm feeling inside. She couldn’t help but hug him back

“You’ll leave tonight huh” she said and she felt Kwangmin nodding his head “I’ll really miss you” she added “6 months is just short” he said. “Eh?” MiYu said then she made him turn to her “Well maybe for you but for me it isn’t. I mean, I’m the one who has to suffer working alone for 6 months (-_-)” she added.  Kwangmin laughed and said “Don’t feel bad, to me 6 months is just short because after that, I’ll get to see MiYu again” MiYu blushed at what he said and looked away “Eh? Are you blushing?” he teased “N-No, I’m… *blush* embarrassed” “Uh” Kwangmin said then he laughed once more and pinched her on the cheeks “Kyeopta~” he said suddenly

“Kwangmin! MiYu! I’ve been looking for the two of you everywhere, don’t forget that you still have to do your job” Minji said as she inserted and the two were surprised to see her “Uh” she said as she felt the essence of ‘wedding’ because of what they were wearing

“Ah~ this is no good, I want MiYu to get married and at the same time I don’t” she mumbled then MiYu smacked her on the head and said “You should worry about getting married first” then she turned to Kwangmin and said “Let’s go?” Kwangmin nodded his head and went inside as well.

                “MiYu actually hit me on the head (TT 3 TT)” Minji cried then she saw Gongchan coming out from behind the curtain “G-Gongchan? Just now… did you…?” Gongchan smirked and said “Don’t tell them I was listening” then he went to where his hyungs were

“Uh, *smile* that kid… I think he could be a good candidate for MiYu’s husband” she said to herself then she went to the other guests to entertain them.

The party ended with a blast after various idol groups performed, when it ended they all congratulated Five Star Magazine for their 50^th anniversary.

After that, they went outside to the parking lot to bade Kwangmin good-bye

“It was really nice working with you Kwangmin ^^” said Jinyoung
“Same here hyung” Kwangmin responded “It was really nice to meet you guys” he added as he looked at the other members of B1A4 “Don’t forget to bring us presents when you come back!” Baro proclaimed and everyone glared at him

“Ahaha, don’t worry. I will ^^” said Kwangmin then “Kwangmin! It’s time to go!” Youngmin proclaimed as he was waiting for him inside the car “Ah, I’ll see you guys real soon” he said and they nodded their heads then he went near MiYu and hugged her once more

“See ya after 6 months” he said in-between the hug “Yeah, hurry up and come back ‘coz if you don’t I’ll drag you back here” she responded. Kwangmin broke the hug and looked at her then
“MiYu, forgive me for doing this. You can get back at me after six months” he said
“Huh?” MiYu wondered, suddenly Kwangmin leaned forward and kissed her

All of them went (=[]=!!!!????) “O-Oh My (¬///¬)” said Youngmin. After the kiss, MiYu’s face was really red and she was speechless, Kwangmin grinned and said “See you soon!” then he quickly ran off towards the car and left.

“He’s finally left” said CNU “Yeah” the others said then they turned to MiYu who turned into stone after the kiss

“I salute that kid for suddenly doing that to her” said Baro “Yeah, and in front of us as well” said Sandeul. They turned to Gongchan and noticed that he was holding back his laughter “I was expecting a more of a jealous reaction rather than that kind of reaction (-_-)” said Baro and Sandeul nodded his head

“O-Oi MiYu, are you alright?” Minji asked as she was shaking MiYu to wake her up then “It’s no use… *prince mode* shall I kiss her to bring her back to herself?” Jinyoung suggested. Gongchan heard him and stopped holding back his laughter, he hit Jinyoung on the head and said “Stop messing around (-_-)”

“Eh? Are you jealous Channie? Do you want to kiss her instead?” Jinyoung teased but instead of a reply, Gongchan hit him once more.

***MiYu’s thoughts***

Heeeeeeeeeeeee? Jo Kwangmin you idiot… how dare you KISS ME!? (=’[]‘=!!!!!!!!)

3 months later…

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING~

The doorbell rang, MiYu got irritated and she lazily stood up to open the door

“Good morning ^^” Jinyoung greeted and MiYu gave him an expressionless face, she left the door opened as she went back to her room to sleep

“Sorry for intruding~” Jinyoung said as he entered her apartment. He went to the kitchen to start preparing breakfast, moments later…

“Hyung good morning~” Sandeul and Baro beamed as they entered MiYu’s apartment. “Where’s MiYu?” Baro asked “Still sleeping I guess?” Jinyoung responded “Then shall we get Channie to wake her up again?” Sandeul purposely spoke aloud to make her hear it then “NO NEED, I’M FULLY AWAKE” MiYu said as she came out of her room all ready for work. The other two snickered as they sat down

Moments later, CNU and Gongchan arrived “Good Morning” they greeted as they sat down “Ah, the brat changed hairstyles huh” said MiYu “Shut up” said Gongchan “Hey Channie, be nice” said Sandeul “Tch” Gongchan responded “Here’s the food~” Jinyoung said as he placed the food on the table “Kamsahamnida” all of them said and started eating

MiYu’s POV:

Three months have passed ever since Kwangmin left; a lot of things have changed in that short time as well. Just like right now, ever since Kwangmin left, these guys decided to hang out with me more often in order for me not to feel lonely. Every morning they would eat breakfast with me in my apartment and to be honest, I really feel happy.

I’ve also felt that I’ve gotten closer to them every day and it seems like the times that brat and I would quarrel have increased (=.=). My perspective of Jinyoung-s- I mean Jinyoung oppa have changed as well, right now, he seems like he’s my older brother or something.

Work also changed a lot after Kwangmin left I mean, since I don’t have a partner anymore, I’m stuck with doing all the work for two. Minwoo sometimes helps me whenever he has free time but still, I feel a little burdened. Tch, that Jo Kwangmin, leaving all the work to myself.

Uh, Kwangmin… heh, after that guy left I’ve never heard any news from him. That punk didn’t even contact me through e-mails or even through letters and whenever I ask Youngmin, that guy would suddenly change the topic and talk about random useless things (=_=) I don’t get it though, but if Kwangmin’s that busy then it’s best if I don’t disturb him.

Well today, I’m supposed to meet the temporary partner that my sister hired for me and to tell you something, I hope she’s a reliable one who takes orders from me. Mwahahaha >:)) Kidding, I just wish my temporary partner is a girl that way I won’t feel awkward.

THIRD PERSON POV:

                When MiYu arrived at Minji’s office, she saw a person with long hair sitting on the couch “Thank goodness it’s a girl” she thought to herself. “MiYu, I want you to meet your temporary partner” Minji said. The person turned to her and MiYu was stunned when she saw her

“Woah, so pretty” MiYu thought to herself “His name is Choi Minki, he’s a few months younger than you. Please take care of him…” said Minji

“Right! Nice too meet you, I’m Park MiYu and I- wait a minute… HE!? A GUY!? (=[]=)” MiYu proclaimed

Author’s Note:  First of all, I would like to apologize for the very  very late update. I had writer's block for a short while and had no idea how to continue the chapter so I came up with his instead. I'm really sorry if I ever failed your expectations (TT_TT)
