Chapter Twenty Four

“EH!?” MiYu cried while she was blushing, “I’m sorry, looks like I’ve said it to you straightly, how about we eat lunch first then after that, let’s have a talk ^^” Jinyoung replied calmly and MiYu just nodded her head. Meanwhile, “Argsh, what’s with MiYu getting wild all of the sudden?” Kwangmin complained as he was eating his lunch, “Maybe it’s ‘her day’ today” Minwoo responded, “No, she’ll have her period next week” Kwangmin replied and Minwoo was holding back his laughter, Kwangmin glared at him, “What?” he said, “I-it’s kind of weird that you know when her period is” Minwoo responded, “She told me that I should be aware that way I would be able to stop her whenever she gets pissed you see last time, it was ‘her day’ and we had an interview with a certain idol group, one of the members said something that pissed her off and she threw a chair at him, luckily he wasn’t badly injured” said Kwangmin “So... he still got injured?” asked Minwoo and Kwangmin nodded his head “Note to self: Never ever make Park MiYu mad when it’s ‘her day’” said Minwoo and he continued to eat. Kwangmin released a sigh and checked on his phone

Back at the restaurant, they were really quiet while eating. “This is so weird; I mean what the heck was he saying a while ago?” MiYu mentally asked herself

“I Like You ^^”

Those three words kept on replaying in her thoughts, “Screw this” she murmured, then “Is something wrong?” Jinyoung asked as he turned to her “E-Eh? N-Nothing’s wrong, ehehe...he” MiYu responded then she kept quiet; Jinyoung smiled and he continued eating.

After eating, “Let’s go to the aquarium” Jinyoung suggested, “Uh? You guys don’t have any schedule this afternoon?” MiYu wondered and Jinyoung nodded his head “We have the entire afternoon off, how about you? I think you still need to go back to work so I guess we’ll-” “W-Well, Kwangmin and I were suppose to finish our articles for next month’s issue but since I’m almost done with mine, I think a little break would be okay ^^” said MiYu, Jinyoung smiled and said “Thanks” “You’re welcome, uh, by the way... how are the others?” MiYu asked as she and Jinyoung started walking, “They’re still the same well, except for Channie...” Jinyoung responded “Uh?” MiYu wondered, “These past few days, I can sense that he gets easily pissed and he’s gloomier than before, do you know what happened?” said Jinyoung. MiYu remembered the words that she said to GongChan and the guilty feeling came again “MiYu-ssi?” Jinyoung wondered, “Uh? H-How am I suppose to know? We’re not even close plus I hate him” MiYu responded, “Uh... is that so? Well, I guess then you really don’t know” said Jinyoung “Of course!” MiYu proclaimed, Jinyoung smiled and they continued their way.

                Meanwhile, “Hyung’s out again?” Sandeul asked as he sat down on the couch, “Seems like it” CNU responded, “I think he said that he’ll be meeting up with MiYu-ssi” said Sandeul “Really? So those two are dating already huh? Heh, what do you think Channie?” Baro said as he turned to GongChan but he was spacing out, “Yah, Channie!” Baro proclaimed but still, GongChan ignored him, Baro released a sigh and decided to play with Sandeul.

“Stop playing with my feelings you brat!” “Get away from me!” “S-Stay away from me... I don’t want to see your face ever again!”

“Tch, why can’t I forget what she said? It’s not like I have feelings for her or something, and the heck I care if she doesn’t want to see me, but... I wonder why I feel so...sad?” GongChan said to himself then he released a big sigh then “Uh? Did Baro hyung call me a while ago?” he asked himself.

                Jinyoung and MiYu arrived at the aquarium and they were checking out the different kinds of fishes, “Woah~ an angel fish!” MiYu beamed as she followed the fish, “MiYu-ssi, wait up!” Jinyoung followed her, later on they saw some sharks as well, “S-Scary” MiYu said as she stepped away from the tank and accidentally bumped into Jinyoung, “Sorry” she apologized, “No worries” responded then he smiled at her and she slightly blushed. They continued to walk around and after that, they decided to watch the aquatic show that would be held at the grand hall. The two sat on the third row and had a great view of the show, MiYu was having fun looking at the penguins dance and the seals playing with the beach balls while Jinyoung was enjoying the sight of MiYu smiling and giggling, MiYu noticed that Jinyoung was looking at her so she turned to him

“Something wrong?” she asked “Nope, I’m just happy to be with MiYu-ssi right now ^^” Jinyoung responded, MiYu slightly blushed and she looked away “S-Stop saying nonsense things” she said, “Really? You still don’t believe me when I said I like you?” Jinyoung wondered, “E-Eh? Uh, err... ah! Look! They’re playing again!” MiYu proclaimed as she turned to the penguins to avoid the topic and Jinyoung just smirked.

After the aquatic show, they decided to walk around the mini park beside the aquarium...

The walk was pretty quiet, MiYu wanted to break the silence but she couldn’t find the right words to say so she just kept shut, but then Jinyoung grabbed her hand and dragged her to the bench then he made her sit down

“U-Uh?” she wondered then Jinyoung sat in front of her, “This kind of confession seems pretty fast but something told me that I should confess to you already before it’s too late” he said and MiYu gave him a puzzled look “I’ve said it before but I’m going to say it again... I like you ^^” Jinyoung said then MiYu’s face turned red “Ever since I’ve laid eyes on you, I was somehow starting to fall for you, maybe that’s because you resemble her so much” he added “Her?” MiYu wondered, “Ah... Chun Hei...” she said then she felt a little bit upset

“Are you okay?” Jinyoung asked, MiYu stood up and started leaving, “Hey, wait!” he called as he grabbed her hand and stopped her “Please let go of me” MiYu said without looking back “Uh?” Jinyoung wondered, “I’m sorry Jinyoung-ssi but I can’t accept your feelings, now if you excuse me, I’ll be on my way now. See you around” MiYu said then she let herself go from Jinyoung's grip and ran off “MiYu-ssi!” Jinyoung called but she ignored him, Jinyoung was a bit confused and irritated that he kicked a rock and released a sigh.

                MiYu got tired of running so she decided to enter a nearby café and rest there, she was looking around for a place to sit when suddenly, “MiYu-ssi!” she heard someone call her, she turned around and saw Youngmin enjoying his coffee, he motioned for her to come to him and she approached him “Have a seat” he said, “Thanks” MiYu responded then she sat down

“Are you okay? You seem tired” said Youngmin “Yeah, well... I’m just a bit confused” MiYu replied, “And why is that?” Youngmin asked “Well it’s because... uh, wait a minute... is it okay if I tell you?” questioned MiYu, “Huh? But of course, I mean... even though I am more handsome than my brother, you can always look at me as Kwangmin that way it’ll be more comfortable for you to share ^^” said Youngmin “Heh, but to tell you the truth, I’ve always thought that Kwangmin was more handsome than you” said MiYu and Youngmin didn’t respond to that, “So... what happened?” he asked as he placed the coffee cup on the table and paid attention to MiYu, she felt a bit awkward at first but then, she told Youngmin what happened

After that, “IDIOT!” Youngmin proclaimed “Uh?” MiYu wondered “Why did you leave him like that? Don’t you know it’s really hard for a guy to gather up his courage so that he could confess to the girl he likes but what you did there was unforgivable!” Youngmin added “But... *looks down* he only likes me because I reminded him of his ex-girlfriend who died a few years ago” said MiYu “Uh? When you put it that way... it does sound upsetting but... why don’t you give him another chance? I mean, maybe he’s just a bit confused right now but if you give him another chance and make him fall for the real you, then there’s not a problem with that right? Since you also like him ^^” said Youngmin and MiYu kept quiet “Uh? I guess I’m no good at these at all” said Youngmin and MiYu looked at him with a confused face, “Here I am trying to give you a good advice but it looks like I’m not good at it at all TT^TT” he added, “(||^_^) T-That’s not it, in fact, I really appreciate your advice and... I guess I’ll give him another chance” said MiYu, Youngmin smiled then patted her on the head “Uh” she wondered, “Heehee, I’ve always wanted to do this, you know MiYu-ssi... I somehow think that you’re cute, like a little puppy (^^)” he said, “(-_-) T-Thanks?” MiYu responded, they continued to talk about a lot of things when suddenly

“RING RING” MiYu’s phone rang and she answered it

*Phone Convo*

CNU: MiYu-ssi!
MiYu: Uh, CNU-ssi?
CNU: Are you still with Jinyoung?
MiYu: Uh, not any more, why?
CNU: We tried calling him but he won’t answer it, do you think something bad might’ve happened to him?
MiYu: EH!? I’ll go look for him right away
CNU: Okay, we’ll do the same here, bye *hangs up*

*END OF CONVO*

“What’s wrong?” asked Youngmin, “Jinyoung-ssi went missing” MiYu responded, “Eh!? Then I will help you look for him” said Youngmin, “Thanks” said MiYu and the two went outside and started to look for Jinyoung.

They decided to split up to find him faster, the other members of B1A4 also split up. “Darn it, I wonder what that klutz did to make hyung disappear like that? Tss” he mumbled as he started to look for the places that Jinyoung loves to go, but he wasn’t there.

MiYu was also looking for him at the aquarium because that was where she left him, “Jinyoung-ssi!” she called while running around but she still couldn’t find him.

After an hour of looking around, “Argh! Where the heck is he!?” Baro proclaimed then he decided to call Sandeul “Did you find him already?” he asked, “Nope, I’m going to look around more” Sandeul responded then he hung up.

In MiYu’s case, she decided to take a short rest after running around and looking for Jinyoung, she looked up the sky and noticed that it was getting gloomy, “It’s about to rain soon, Jinyoung-ssi... where are you?” she asked herself, she closed her eyes and felt a little bit calm, suddenly she remembered the time when she and Jinyoung visited Chun Hei’s grave then “Aha! I think I know where he is!” she proclaimed and she started to leave the aquarium...

                In GongChan’s case, he continued to look for him, “Where are you hyung? Noona, do you know where he is? If so, can you please tell me where Jinyoung hyung is? Please!” GongChan said in his thoughts, suddenly... he remembered Chun Hei’s funeral and how Jinyoung would refuse to leave, “That’s it!” he proclaimed then he continued to run.

At the memorial park “Jinyoung-hyung! Where are you!?” GongChan proclaimed as he was walking around and calling Jinyoung's name but still, he couldn’t find him “Weird... I was definitely sure that he’s here” he said to himself, then “Jinyoung-ssi! Where are you!?” he heard someone yell, he turned to Chun Hei’s grave and saw...

“M-MiYu?” he wondered, MiYu turned to him and was surprised herself, “G-GongChan...” she said. “What are you doing here? Me? I’m looking for Jinyoung-hyung/ssi, uh?” they said to each other then they kept quiet.

GongChan didn’t know why, but he suddenly felt a bit nervous when he saw MiYu, he remembered the words that she said to him, MiYu also felt the same way and she was feeling guilty, then...

“I... I should get going first since, you don’t want to see my face” GongChan broke the silence and he was about to leave but then MiYu stopped him by grabbing his hand “Uh?” both of them wondered, “What the heck? What did I just do? Why did I suddenly stop him!? (=[]=)” MiYu proclaimed in her thoughts, “Please let go” said GongChan, “N-No” MiYu responded, “Uh?” GongChan wondered then he faced her, “Listen to me... I’m sorry for saying those words to you, I guess I was just a little bit confused for a moment because you were acting strange towards me and I felt uncomfortable with it so, I am sorry and I take back those words of mine” MiYu said then she did a 90 degrees bow, “M-MiYu... heh, come here” GongChan said then he grabbed her and pulled her towards him and hugged her, “U-Uh?” she wondered then she felt her heart beating fast again, “Why am I feeling this way towards him? It’s like I want to push him away but I can’t... do I like him? But... I hate him... argsh... was he always this warm?” she said to herself then GongChan broke the hug, “I’m also sorry for acting strange all of the sudden towards you but don’t worry, from now on, I will continue to be a bully to you and we can hate each other once more!” said GongChan “Uh? Heh, weirdo” MiYu mumbled, “Mwo!?” GongChan exclaimed, “Never mind, let’s continue to look for Jinyoung-ssi” MiYu said as she was about to walk but then GongChan grabbed her hand

“Uh?” she wondered as she turned to him, “Did he... confess to you already?” he asked, “Uh... M-hm” MiYu responded as she shyly nodded her head, “And... what did you tell him?” GongChan asked once more, “I told him that... I can’t accept his feelings, maybe that ‘s the reason why we’re looking for him now” MiYu answered, “Why did you refuse to accept his feelings?” GongChan questioned, “He only likes me because I reminded him of Chun Hei and it’s-” “It’s okay, I understand...” GongChan said then he held MiYu’s hand, “Let’s go look for him now” he added then he started to walk while holding MiYu’s hand...

“So she rejected him not because I told her to not fall in love with him but because he only likes her because he sees my sister in her... how upsetting but... at least she rejected him” GongChan said to himself.

They continued to shout Jinyoung's name but he wasn’t in the memorial park at all, “Where is he!?” GongChan proclaimed as he felt a bit irritated while MiYu continued to think then “Ah! I think I know!” she proclaimed then she let go of GongChan’s hand and started to run, “Hey wait!” GongChan followed her.

MiYu decided to go to the nearby playground where she found Jinyoung before, when she got there “I was right” she said to herself as she saw Jinyoung sitting on the swing and looking at the ground “Jinyoung-ssi!” she called as she ran towards him, Jinyoung heard her and turned to her, when he saw her he quickly stood up “MiYu...” he said, she stopped right in front of him, “J-Jinyoung-ssi” she said “MiYu...” he said, “I have to tell you something” both of them said in unison “Uh?” they wondered then smiled,  “You go first MiYu” said Jinyoung “Oh, well... first of all, I would like to apologize for running off like that, I was just a little bit shocked and... a little bit hurt but! I... I decided to give you another chance” she said, “Uh?” Jinyoung wondered then he smiled and patted her on the head, “I’m glad that you said that, actually... I want to apologize” he said “I’ve now realized why you ran away... perhaps I should’ve chosen better words than those... telling you that I only like you because you reminded me of Chun Hei, it must’ve hurt huh?” he added and MiYu kept quiet “Right” she said in her thoughts, suddenly, Jinyoung hugged her

“I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have said that, I promise you that I will like you for who you are and because you reminded me of a past lover but still, I like you, I really do” he said, MiYu felt happy because Jinyoung confessed to her but she somehow felt upset as she saw GongChan standing under a tree a few meters away from them and he had a disappointed look on his face, “U-Uh?” she wondered, GongChan released a sigh then he turned around and started to walk away “Gong...chan”

When they arrived at the apartment, “How dare you make us worry like that!?” CNU proclaimed as he started to strangle Jinyoung, “C-Can’t... breathe” said Jinyoung, “So... you already confessed to MiYu-ssi, does it mean that the two of you are... together?” asked Sandeul “E-Eh!?” MiYu cried, “We’re not yet together since MiYu-ssi hasn’t given me her response yet but I’ll wait patiently for her response towards my feelings for her and I will accept them whether she says ‘yes’ or ‘no’ ^^” Jinyoung replied, “Oh, you’re so cool hyung” Sandeul mumbled and Jinyoung smiled at him, meanwhile, Baro noticed the GongChan was going in his room so he decided to follow him

“So I guess your plan didn’t work? Even though you tried to lure her into making her like you, it still didn’t work” Baro said as he leaned on the wall “Heh, what are you talking about? She still hasn’t given him her response, so there’s a possibility that her feelings will change” said GongChan “Tch, seriously...” said Baro “But... it’s kind of weird...” GongChan said as he lied down “Why? What happened?” Baro wondered, “While we were looking for hyung, I met her at my sister’s grave... who would’ve thought that we would see each other there?” GongChan responded as he stared at the ceiling, “Uh, heh, who knows” Baro said as he shrugged.

On the other hand, in Kwangmin’s house...

“WHAT!?” Kwangmin cried “HE CONFESSED TO HER!?” he added, “Yep, sheesh” Youngmin replied as he placed the glass on the table, “But don’t worry, she hasn’t given him her response yet so there’s a possibility that her feelings will still change” he added and Kwangmin felt a bit relieved, “Phew” he said “But you know what Kwangmin-ah, if I were you... I would’ve confessed to her a long time ago and by now, she would’ve been my girlfriend” said Youngmin, Kwangmin released a sigh and said “I know hyung, but... MiYu’s different, she’s not like other girls, and you see... she’s afraid of falling in love” “Uh” Youngmin said as he felt a little bit sorry for his brother whom he knew, felt a little bit hurt because of what happened.

MiYu’s POV:

What happened today... was unbelievable. Who knew that he would confess to me? I mean, I never expected for such a thing to happen but...

“...I promise you that I will like you for who you are and because you reminded me of a past lover”

I feel happy that he said those words to me. Jinyoung-ssi, I never thought that you also felt something for me. I really wanted to hug you so tight a while ago and tell you how I like you but... I know that my feelings for you aren’t feelings of love but of admiration...

And besides

I don’t know why...

But...

I feel like if I’m going to say ‘Yes’ to you...

I feel like I’m creating one of the biggest mistakes in my life...
