Chapter Thirty

The next morning, when MiYu arrived at the company “Good morning MiYu-ssi” Jinyoung greeted as he saw MiYu passing through the lobby, she heard him and turned to him

“Good Morning Jinyoung-ssi” she greeted “I told you to call me oppa (=3=)” said Jinyoung “Uh. S-sorry, Jinyoung o-o-o-oppa” she said and she slightly blushed. Jinyoung smiled then he ruffled her hair then “Hey MiYu~” CNU greeted “Uh, good morning ^^” MiYu greeted back “Where’s Kwangmin?” Baro asked “Uh” MiYu said then she kept quiet
“MiYu-ssi, is there something wrong?” Sandeul asked “N-No, nothing’s wrong. If you’ll excuse me, I’m going ahead. I still have a lot of things to do” MiYu replied then she went upstairs to her office.

“Is MiYu-ssi okay?” Sandeul asked the others “I don’t know, uh, hey Channie you were with her yesterday right? Did something happen?” Baro asked as he turned to Gongchan “Uh, I don’t know. I left ahead of her” Gongchan replied “WHAT?!” the others cried “That’s not very manly you know (-_-)” said Jinyoung “Huh?” said Gongchan

MiYu entered her office and noticed that Kwangmin wasn’t around; she released a sigh and shut the door closed. She walked to her desk, placed her bag on the side and sat down. She recalled what happened yesterday after Kwangmin told her that he’ll be going to Australia

Flashback

“I’m going to Australia”Kwangmin said and MiYu was at first, confused. “W-What?” she said “Hey Jo Kwangmin, stop joking it isn’t funny” she added as she let out a fake laugh.

“I’m not joking, I’m serious”Kwangmin replied which made her stop laughing and faced him “W-When?” she asked“Next week, right after the party for our magazine’s 10^th anniversary” Kwangmin replied “I see, how long will you be gone?” MiYu asked once more “6 months or so” he answered “Oh” she said and there was a silence between them

“Tomorrow, I won’t be around since hyung and I have to go to Busan to take care of something, but I’ll be back by the next day”he said and MiYu just nodded her head “MiYu, is it okay if we spend more time with each other for the next few days? I want to hang out with my best friend every day before I leave” he said but MiYu didn’t reply, she just kept quiet “MiYu?” he wondered. “I… I’m leaving now” she said then she started to walk away “(=[]=) What the? MiYu!” Kwangmin called but MiYu was already far away from him, he released a sigh and said “Jeez”

-END of FLASHBACK-

“I’m such a terrible person, why did I suddenly leave him like that (T___T)” MiYu cried to herself (she feels regretful after leaving Kwangmin at the park) “Urgh, Pabo. Pabo. Pabo. Pabo. Pabo” she added as she continuously hit herself on the head, after that she stood up and decided to go to the bathroom. She opened the door and stepped out from the office when suddenly, she bumped into someone

“Ah, I’m so sorry!” she immediately apologized “It’s okay ^^” the guy replied, MiYu looked at him and saw him smiling at her “Are you sure? I’m really sorry” she said once more “I’m fine really” the guy said and when he saw MiYu’s face “U-Uh” he sudden blushed “Well if that’s the case, I’m sorry again” MiYu said then she continued her way. The guy looked at her while she was leaving “I-It’s really her” he said to himself and he suddenly smiled

“Daehyun-ah! Let’s go!” one of his companions called “Okay” he replied and he followed them.

After washing up, MiYu looked at herself in the mirror; she released a sigh and said “Park MiYu, tomorrow you will talk to your best friend, Jo Kwangmin and tell him that you are saying ‘yes’ to his request. Okay? Okay…” she said then she did a ‘fighting’ pose and after that she left the bathroom. When she got out, “MiYu!” Minji called her as she saw her coming out from the rest room “Uh? Unni?” MiYu wondered, “Hey where have you been? I’ve been looking everywhere for you” Minji said “And why is that?” asked MiYu “Kwangmin isn’t around right? Well the two of you are supposed to B.A.P. today to discuss for their upcoming photo shoot this Friday” Minji replied “Uh, okay. Where will we meet?” MiYu asked “4^th floor, the 3^rd room to the left” Minji answered “Okay then” MiYu said then she went upstairs to the said room.

She knocked on the door and opened it and found 6 blonde guys talking and fooling around “U-Umm, excuse me” she said and the guys turned to her, “Are you B.A.P.?” she asked, the muscular guy stood up from his seat and went near her

“Yup, we are. I’m the leader, Bang Yon Guk” he said, “I see, can you guys please take your seats, we will start with the discussion of your photo shoot” MiYu said as she entered the room and sat down on one of the chairs, the guys also behaved and started to become serious “I’m Park MiYu, a photographer and also an editor in this company. My partner, Jo Kwangmin, isn’t here today because of personal reasons so I hope you guys can bear with me” she said, “Okay” the boys replied. They started discussing about the concept for the photoshoot, while the others were discussing, there were two members who were talking about MiYu

“Hey Daehyun, she’s cute right?” the one named Youngjae, said and Daehyun just smiled. “That smile seems a little bit fishy to me, you like her don’t you?” Youngjae said with a grin on his face, “W-What? How can you say that? Just because she’s cute doesn’t mean that I like her already” said Daehyun “Hmm, you have a point” said Youngjae. After discussing about the concept

“Are you guys okay with it?” MiYu asked “Yep” the guys replied “It sounds cool” Daehyun added, MiYu smiled and said “I’m glad you guys like it ^^” Daehyun slightly blushed and turned away, Youngjae noticed it and he thought of something to tease Daehyun

“MiYu-ssi, can I ask something?” he said “Uh, sure. What is it?” said MiYu “Do you have a boyfriend?” Youngjae asked. The other members, especially Daehyun, were shocked of his question. The oldest member of the group smacked him on the head and said “That was too straightforward you kid” “Sorry, I mean, I have to say MiYu-ssi is cute and a cute girl like her should have a boyfriend now, right?” Youngjae explained then

“Actually, I don’t have one” MiYu answered to his questions “Really? That’s great news!” Youngjae proclaimed he turned to Daehyun and saw him blushing, “Looks like Daehyun is happy” he said, the other members turned to Daehyun and were puzzled, “S-Shut up!” Daehyun proclaimed then “Well, I’ll be going ahead of you guys, I still have a lot of work to do. See you this Friday” MiYu said as she stood up “Okay, see you this Friday!” the guys responded and after that, MiYu left.

Daehyun turned to Youngjae and he suddenly attacked him “Why you, why did you do that all of the sudden!?” he proclaimed while he was attacking him, “What are they doing?” the youngest member, Zelo, asked “They’re playing” Yon Guk replied.

Meanwhile, “Uh, noona!” Baro called as he saw Minji coming out from the elevator, Minji heard him and she turned to him “Yes?” she said “I was wondering where Kwangmin is, we haven’t seen him around” Baro asked “Oh Kwangmin, he’s in Busan right now with his twin. He had some important matters to be settled there since next week, they’re going to Australia” Minji replied “E-EH!?” Baro proclaimed “He’s going to Australia!?” he added and Minji nodded her head in reply “No wonder MiYu-ssi seemed a little bit down” Baro said to himself then “I’ll go ahead now okay? I still have a business meeting 10 minutes from now” Minji said “Oh sure, I’ll see you later noona!” Baro responded and the two parted ways.

“Did you talk to noona?” CNU asked as he saw Baro walking towards them “Yup, looks like Kwangmin will be leaving soon” Baro replied “What!?” the others were surprised of what they heard “So that’s why MiYu-ssi seemed a bit down” said CNU “But I don’t get it, those two aren’t dating right? So why would MiYu-ssi feel down?” asked Sandeul “Even though they’re not dating, they’re best friends and Kwangmin is really important to MiYu” said Jinyoung “Oh” said Sandeul then “Hey guys, sorry for making you wait for a long time” manager Yun said as he walked towards them “It’s okay” the guys replied “Let’s go, you’ll be late for your fan signing event” manager Yun said and the guys nodded their heads, after that they left.

During lunch time, MiYu decided to go out to eat dinner. She went to an Italian restaurant and ordered her meal. While waiting for her order, she looked at her phone to see if Kwangmin had left any messages

“No message, tch, that Jo Kwangmin, how dare he not text me? (-’_‘-)” she murmured suddenly her phone rang, she looked at the caller id and a huge smile was formed on her face, she quickly answered it

*Phone Convo*

MiYu: Kwangmin!
Kwangmin: Eh? Looks like you missed me already, hahaha
MiYu: S-Shut up (-///-)
Kwangmin: haha, well I’m just happy because right now, it sounded like you’ll really miss me compared to your reaction yesterday
MiYu: U-Uh *embarrassed* a-about that, I’m really sorry if I suddenly ran off, I guess I was really surprised hearing that from you
Kwangmin: *laughs* It’s okay, I knew that you would do that so it’s perfectly fine
MiYu: U-Uh, heh
Kwangmin: So how about it?
MiYu: Huh?
Kwangmin: Let’s spend time together while I’m still here, is it okay?
MiYu: *smile* what do you mean ‘is it okay’? Of course it’s okay stupid
Kwangmin: *smile* good, I’ll see you tomorrow then?
MiYu: Ne~
Kwangmin: Seriously, I’m really happy, thanks. Well, I better end this call now. I only made an excuse to go to the bathroom just to call
MiYu: Heh, okay then. Take care, see you tomorrow
Kwangmin: M-hm, you too *hangs up*

*End of Phone Convo*

After having that conversation with MiYu, Kwangmin felt his heart beating fast “MiYu, I’ll make sure that before I leave, I’m going to tell you how I really feel” he said to himself, he smiled and went back to where Youngmin was.

In MiYu’s case, she felt livelier after hearing Kwangmin’s voice, “Good thing he’s okay” she said to herself then “Here’s your order ma’am” the waitress said as she placed MiYu’s order on the table “Thank you” MiYu said then she started eating. While she was eating, she looked outside the window and saw a guy running for his life and a bunch of girls chasing after him, “Huh?” she wondered, she looked at the guy closely and realized that he was one of the B.A.P. members, “Oh shoot” she said, she stood up from his seat and went out of the restaurant

In the guy’s case, “Argsh, that was so stupid of me to carelessly take my mask off!” he murmured to himself while he was running, he was really getting tired and wanted to stop but the fans continued to chase him, “URGH! Darn it, someone help me! (T^T)” he cried in his thoughts, suddenly

“Over here!” he heard someone yell, he looked at the side and saw MiYu signaling him to come with her, he quickly ran to where she was and when he reached her “Let’s go” she said as she grabbed his arm and helped him escape from the screaming fans that were chasing after him

After 15 minutes of running, they lost track of the girls and they arrived at a playground, both of them were really tired from running and they fell on the ground panting “Ah, seriously, I haven’t ran like that for a long time already” MiYu said as she was leaning on the tree, “Are you okay?” she asked the guy as she turned to him, “Uh, yeah. I’m fine now, thank you for the help” the guy replied “You’re welcome, uh, hey you’re the guy whom I bumped into a while ago” MiYu said as she recognized him “Jung Daehyun, am I correct?” she added, Daehyun blushed and shyly nodded his head “What happened to you? Why aren’t you with the others?” MiYu asked “I kind of got lost, I was also wearing my mask while walking around and I had to take it off because I had a hard time breathing but when I did, some fans suddenly recognized me and they started chasing me” Daehyun replied “I see, that was stupid of you to do that” said MiYu “(-_-) Your reaction was not needed” Daehyun said and MiYu laughed at him “What’s so funny?” he questioned “Nothing, sorry for laughing without any reason” MiYu responded then RIING her phone rang and she answered it

“Unni? Uh?... Really?... Okay… Okay… Okay, I’ll be there in 10 minutes… thanks for the info, bye”

MiYu turned to Daehyun and said “I need to go, I’m going to meet up with one of the groups that will cooperate with us for our 10^th anniversary” “Uh, okay” Daehyun responded “Will you be okay? What if you get chased by your fans once more?” MiYu asked “I’ll be fine” Daehyun replied “You sure? Maybe you should come with me back to the company and we’ll call your manager to come pick you up” MiYu suggested “Well if it’s okay, then I’ll come with you ^^” Daehyun responded, “Uh” MiYu said then she smiled and the two of them went back to the company building.

When they arrived there, MiYu brought Daehyun to her office, “Sit down, I’ll go make a phone call to your manager” she said, Daehyun nodded his head and he sat down on the couch while MiYu was busy with the phone. Daehyun looked around and realized that there were two desks, “She’s sharing an office with her partner” he thought to himself, he continued to look around and he saw a picture of MiYu with a guy “That must be him” he added, he stared at the picture and noticed that they look good together, he couldn’t help but feel a little bit jealous. He continued to look at MiYu’s desk then something caught his attention that made him smile really big, it was a bunny made of shells and it was placed in a small glass box then

“They said that they’ll pick you up in 15 minutes and that they’re sorry for not noticing you being gone quickly” MiYu said as she placed the phone on her desk “It’s okay” Daehyun responded and he smiled, his eyes continued to stare at the bunny on MiYu’s desk, she noticed it and said “You’re curious about that bunny too huh” “Uh?” Daehyun wondered “Kwangmin kept staring at that bunny for a week when I brought it with me” she added and Daehyun kept quiet. MiYu picked the glass box and looked at the bunny then she gave it to Daehyun

“Cute, right? It was given to me by a person whom I’ve helped before, he said that it was like a charm that will help me whenever I feel down. Actually, I don’t believe what he said but whenever I look at it, I do feel this light feeling inside of me so I guess it might’ve been true” she said “Eh? Don’t say that, of course it’s true! This bunny helped that person a lot especially before he debuted!” Daehyun beamed “Uh? Seems like you knew a lot about the person who gave that to me” MiYu said and she smirked, Daehyun slightly blushed and looked away “T-Two years ago, I felt like I really wanted to give up, I wasn’t myself because of the happenings, I didn’t know what to do and I wanted to cry so I went to an isolated place in the park and cried there” Daehyun said as he recalled what happened to him before

Flashback: 2 years ago

[Daehyun’s Narration]

While I was crying, I felt like I wanted to end my life already. Even though we were gaining a lot of attention, I couldn’t help but feel that I was still lacking something. Even though I was praised for doing a good job, I felt unsatisfied with myself. I kept crying when suddenly “Uh? Why are you crying?” I thought that place was isolated, a girl approached me and it surprised me “Uh, sorry for suddenly asking you. I was just taking pictures and I noticed you while I was taking them” she added. Even though she was a stranger, I somehow felt like I wanted to tell her what really happened, I looked up to her but when I did, I was somehow captivated by the sincerity that I found in her eyes

Moments later, I told her why I was crying, she didn’t say anything but she just nodded. I felt like she wasn’t listening to me but then… “You’re really stupid” she said and I was hurt because of what she said, it was so straightforward but I wonder why I wasn’t mad, instead, I felt like what she said was true… I am stupid.

“If you feel that way then why don’t you just quit? There are other people out there who would wish that they were you, those who are working harder than you and here you are complaining how unsatisfied you are even though you did your best already, pathetic”she added.

That was the first time a person has ever said such a thing to me, before, whenever I would tell others about how I felt they would just say ‘Don’t say such things, you are good’ they encourage me but I felt discourage, however, when she said those words, I felt like I was being discouraged but I was also encouraged.

I kept quiet, I didn’t know what to say then “Here” she handed me a gemstone, “I found this while I was taking pictures, I don’t think that it’ll give you special powers or something but when I touched it. I felt something that I don’t even understand. It was happiness I think, but isn’t it silly? To be happy just because you touched a stone, heh” she said. I also thought that it was silly but when I looked at the stone, I saw the reflection of her smiling face, I turned to her and saw her smiling

“Why are you smiling?”I asked “Uh, I don’t know. My best friend told me that if I don’t know what to do in comforting a person, I should just smile” she replied, I didn’t know why but it somehow made me feel better, I smiled back and said “You’re right, I was pretty stupid. Feeling down because I did my best, I must’ve gone crazy” “You’re right, there are a lot of idols like you who go crazy now so you better be careful” she said and I laughed at her statement

“Good thing you’re smiling already” she said “Uh” I said, she was looking at me with sincerity and I felt my heart beating fast then “Looks like my break is over, I’m heading back to work” she said as she stood up. She was about to leave but then I stopped her “Wait!” I called and she turned to me, I stood up and gave her something “This… is a return token for giving me that gem stone, just like that gem stone, this will help you take away the sadness that you feel” I said, that thing helped me a lot but it’s powers didn’t last long. She smiled and said “Thanks” once again; I felt something inside of me, she left and after that… I didn’t see her again

-END of FLASHBACK-

Daehyun turned to MiYu and he smiled at her “It was you… am I correct?” he said, MiYu looked at him then she smiled. Suddenly, “Knock Knock” Minji said as she knocked on the door and opened it, “Daehyun-ssi, your manager’s here” she said, Daehyun stood up and did a 90-degrees bow “Thank you for taking care of me” he said then he faced MiYu “Thank you for the help” he added, MiYu smiled and responded “No problem” after that, Daehyun left.

“Looks like the two of you seemed pretty close” Minji said “Uh, let’s just say that we were just helping each other ^^” MiYu responded “I see” said Minji “Hey, what are you still doing here? You’ll be late for your meeting with the other group” she added “Uh, right. Thanks for reminding me sis” MiYu said then she grabbed her bag and ran to the meeting room. Minji smiled and closed the door then she went back to her office.

On the way to the meeting room, MiYu was running on the stairs and she suddenly tripped and was about to fall, luckily…

“Got you” a guy said, she looked at him and was surprised to see Kwangmin.

“K-Kwangmin!?” she said, Kwangmin smiled and he put her down, “Y-You! I thought you won’t be back ‘till tomorrow?” she added “Eh? I thought you’d miss me that’s why I asked hyung if I can come back here ahead” Kwangmin responded “Oh, I see” said MiYu “(-_-||) what’s with that reply? I feel offended” he said, “Uh” MiYu said then she laughed at him

“What’s so funny? Tch, come here you brat” Kwangmin said then he pulled MiYu towards him and he messed her hair up “Y-Yah! Don’t ruin my hair!” she cried “Oh? Since when did Park MiYu care about her hair?” Kwangmin teased and he continued to mess her hair up.

“Yah! Stop that, we have to attend a meeting!” MiYu proclaimed “Meeting? What meeting? Noona didn’t tell me about any meeting” Kwangmin said “Eh? But she called me a while ago and told me that we will have a meeting with one of the groups that will cooperate with us for the 10^th anniversary” said MiYu “Oh that, I told noona to make that as an excuse so that you’ll go back here” said Kwangmin and MiYu went (=[]=), Kwangmin laughed at her then she hit him on the shoulder “IDIOT!” she proclaimed and she walked ahead but then Kwangmin grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him

“Where do you think you’re going missy?” he said “Uh?” she wondered “Have you forgotten? You agreed to spend the next few days with me before I leave” he added, MiYu remembered what she said and she turned to Kwangmin who was smiling at her “Uh” she said

Author’s Note:  Okay, honestly I was thinking of adding a new character -Jung Daehyun from B.A.P. to the story but I had no idea how to introduce him so I decided to use this Chapter (sorry if I keep adding Characters T^T) and in the next Chapter will be about Kwangmin and MiYu.
