Chapter Twenty Two

At around 6:30 AM, “JINYOUNG HYUNG IS MISSING!” Sandeul cried “WHAT!?” the other three were suddenly awakened by his cry and went to Jinyoung's room, it was neat and clean and it looks like he left somewhere else, Baro hit him on the head and said “He just went somewhere, sheesh, stop over reacting” “W-Well he didn’t say where he went...” said Sandeul then “I’m back~” they heard Jinyoung said as he entered the apartment, Baro smacked Sandeul on the head one more time and went to the living room

“Where did you go?” CNU asked “Oh, I woke up early so I decided to go jogging” Jinyoung replied as he placed his bottled water on the table, “Argsh... I’m going back to sleep” GongChan whined then he went back to his room, CNU and Baro gave Sandeul a glare and they went back to their rooms as well, Sandeul sighed and went back to his room as well, “Uh?” Jinyoung wondered

“HOW DARE YOU TRAITOR!” MiYu proclaimed as she was chasing Kwangmin around their office, “Y-Yah! Minwoo, aren’t you going to help me!?” he cried, “Nope” Minwoo replied as he sat back down on the couch and continued to read a magazine, suddenly

“Park MiYu!” Minji proclaimed as she slammed the door open, “U-Unni?” MiYu stopped chasing Kwangmin and was looked worried while facing Minji, “Uh?” Kwangmin wondered as he stopped running as well, Minji went near MiYu and... “I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!” she proclaimed as she hugged her sister tight and squeezed her until she can hardly breathe “Y-Yah!” MiYu cried and Minji broke the hug, “Sorry about that, guess I was just happy because if this!” Minji proclaimed as she showed MiYu a page of next month’s magazine that had a picture of her and GongChan doing the y pose “GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” she proclaimed as she grabbed the page and tore it into pieces, both Kwangmin and Minwoo went (o[]o) “No worries, I have tons more of copies of that one... well, I’ll see you around people, I still have to go back to work ^^” Minji said then she left. Minji was gone then MiYu turned to Kwangmin with and angrier look this time, “If I were you, I’d rather jump off the window” Minwoo said to him, he gulped and

“SCREW YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!” MiYu yelled and the chasing was on. Minwoo released a sigh and continued to read a magazine

                Meanwhile, “Hyung’s pretty quiet today, isn’t he?” Baro asked “Yeah, well... it’s her death anniversary and he can’t visit since our schedule’s pretty tight today” said CNU “Even Channie’s upset himself since he can’t visit his own sister” Sandeul added as they looked at Jinyoung and GongChan sitting down on the couch and they were staring in a blank space, “Okay guys let’s- uh? What’s with the gloomy atmosphere?” manager Yun asked as he noticed that everyone was quiet, he looked at Jinyoung and GongChan and remembered that it was Chun Hei’s death anniversary

“Oh” he said, he released a sigh “Listen, after lunch, you two can visit her but make sure that you’ll be back by 3:00PM, okay?” he added, the two were enlightened to hear what manager Yun said “Ne!” they proclaimed as they stood up, “Good, now let’s go!” manager Yun proclaimed and the boys went on stage to perform.

                MiYu was still mad at Kwangmin for posting the picture, during lunch time; she decided to eat by herself. “Argsh, she’s rebelling again” Kwangmin complained to Minwoo “Well it’s your fault since you provoked her” Minwoo responded and Kwangmin shot him a glare.

MiYu wasn’t in the mood to eat inside the building, so she decided to go out and look for a restaurant that her tummy wanted to drag her too. She arrived at an Italian restaurant, “Guess I’m having something Italian today” she said to herself, she entered the restaurant and ordered.

While waiting for her order, she was checking on her phone and realized that she had 3 missed calls from Kwangmin and 7 messages. 5 of them were from Kwangmin asking where she was, or was she fine or something like that but she ignored it, she was still pissed at him. She checked the other two messages, one was from her sister saying that she was going to post the picture on the internet, it made MiYu depress but when she checked on the other one who texted her...

“Jung Jinyoung?” she wondered and she decided to read the message

(1 Message)
From: Jung Jinyoung
                “Hey, you busy this afternoon? Is it okay if you meet me at ****? I’ll be waiting for you, hope you have some free time. See Ya”

 MiYu smiled and she held her phone next to her chest then she realized that what she was doing was weird so she stopped it and behaved. At around 1:00PM, she went to where Jinyoung told her to meet up with. She arrived there and saw Jinyoung checking on his phone, “Yah!” she called as she ran towards him, Jinyoung saw her and waved at her “Have you eaten already?” he asked as he stood up “Yep” she replied, “Good... can you accompany me somewhere?” he said, “Uh, sure...” she responded, Jinyoung gave her a smile and he walked ahead, MiYu noticed that there was something different about him but she shook it off her thoughts and followed him.

                Meanwhile, “Have you found him?” CNU asked as he was catching his breath, both Sandeul and Baro shook their heads while they were panting, “Where the heck did that guy go?” CNU wondered, “Have you tried calling Channie?” he asked, “Well we did, but he said that he didn’t see Jinyoung anywhere, he even tried to call hyung on his phone, he wanted to ask if Jinyoung hyung wanted to come with him and his parents but, hyung didn’t answer” Baro replied “Eh? Argsh, I knew it, we shouldn’t have let him go all by himself like that! Who knows what that idiot is doing right now!” CNU proclaimed

In Jinyoung's case, “Come on MiYu-ssi, it’s fun ^3^” Jinyoung said as he was riding the carousel, “(=_=||)N-No thanks” MiYu declined.

“MiYu-ssi~ let’s play on the bump cars!” Jinyoung beamed as he was dragging MiYu to where the bump cars were, “E-Eh? (o_o||)”

“MiYu-ssi, I want to eat cotton candy, let’s buy cotton candy!” Jinyoung proclaimed, “Err... okay” MiYu responded

                While she was watching Jinyoung eat his cotton candy, “Is he okay? He seems to act like a kid today, I wonder why? Is he sick or something? Or maybe it’s not him but an alien! –Okay, I’m over reacting again (-_-) but seriously, who is this guy, it’s not like Jinyoung-ssi to be like this I mean, I feel like I’m with a five year old” MiYu said to herself, then “MiYu-ssi... what time is it?” Jinyoung asked, MiYu looked at her watch “2:00PM” she replied “Really? Then I guess I have an hour left” Jinyoung said as he stood up, “Uh?” MiYu wondered, “Never mind what I said, let’s go?” he said as he stood up, MiYu shrugged and followed him.

They continued to walk around and MiYu spotted a store and decided to buy something, she let Jinyoung wait outside for a while. After paying for the things that she bought, she exited the store. She arrived outside but she didn’t see any sight of Jinyoung “Uh? Where is he?” she asked herself, then she spotted Jinyoung crossing the street while the green light was still on, he was spacing out and didn’t notice the fast car going his way, “Yah! JUNG JINYOUNG!” she proclaimed

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! The car honked. Moments later, “U-Uh?” Jinyoung came back to his senses, then he felt someone hugging him from behind, he turned around and saw MiYu, who was out of breath because she thought that he was going to get hit by the car and it scared her a lot

“M-MiYu-ssi?” he wondered, MiYu let go of him and he faced her, “What the heck were you doing!? Are you trying to kill yourself!?” she exclaimed, “Uh” Jinyoung said then he lowered his head, “Sorry... it’s just that... I wanted to buy some flowers” he responded as he pointed his finger to the flower shop across the street, (-___-||) MiYu face palmed herself

                “Thank you for the lovely flowers Ahjumma~” Jinyoung said as he thanked the old lady after paying for the bouquet of flowers that he bought. He went out of the shop and went near MiYu who was waiting for him outside, “Pabo... you just wanted to buy flowers... you could’ve waited for the sign to said that you can cross... tch” she mumbled, Jinyoung smiled and said “Were you really that worried for me?” “Of course! STUPID! (>.<)” she responded, “Aigoo... how cute” Jinyoung said as he pinched her cheeks, “Enough with that! Sheesh, uh? What’s with the flowers?” MiYu asked as she noticed the bouquet of flowers that Jinyoung was carrying

“Oh these, well... today is Chun Hei’s death anniversary and I was wondering if you-” “If I could accompany you?” MiYu continued, Jinyoung nodded his head, “Sure. Why not” she said, Jinyoung smiled and hugged her “Thank you so much!” he proclaimed, MiYu slightly blushed because of the sudden hug, “Y-You’re welcome” she replied, Jinyoung then walked ahead.

They arrived at the Memorial Park, Jinyoung walked ahead while MiYu followed him. Before Jinyoung placed the flowers on Chun Hei’s grave, they saw another bouquet placed there “Looks like Channie and his parents got here before us already” he said “Uh, that’s right... Chun Hei-ssi is that brat’s sister” MiYu said in her thoughts. Jinyoung placed the bouquet on the grave and decided to pray, in MiYu’s case, she felt her phone vibrating, she looked at it and noticed that she received 10 messages from Kwangmin “EH!? O_o” she read the text messages “Where are you now?” “I’m sorry for pissing you off, please tell me where you went” “You’re not yet back? Still pissed off I see, I’m really sorry” she smirked and decided to call him but “Argsh, there’s no signal” she said, she turned to Jinyoung and he was still praying, “Umm... I’m going to look for a signal since I have to call Kwangmin and tell him that I’m with you. I’ll be right back, please stay here and wait for me” she said as she walked away.

                Jinyoung released a sigh and he continued to stare at the grave, flashbacks of him and Chun Hei kept on appearing in his thoughts and he couldn’t help but break down in tears, “C-Chun Hei-ah...” he said

MiYu found a spot where it gave her two bars of signal and she decided to call Kwangmin, it rang and...

*Phone Convo*

Kwangmin: PARK MIYU! WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU!? LISTEN, IF YOU’RE STILL MAD AT ME THEN I’LL HAVE TO APOLOGIZE TO YOU A THOUSAND TIMES MORE. I’M SORRY, I’M SORRY, I’M SORRY, I’M SO-
MiYu: Enough with that you idiot, I’m not mad anymore
Kwangmin: Uh?
MiYu: You also don’t need to worry; I’m with Jinyoung-ssi right now
Kwangmin: *jealous* E-Eh? W-Why are you with him!? Are you two going on a da-
MiYu: It’s his girlfriend’s death anniversary today and he asked me if I could accompany him
Kwangmin: O-Oh, I see
MiYu: I’ll call you back when I arrived at the apartment
Kwangmin: Okay, oh... did you bring an umbrella with you? It looks like it’s about to-
MiYu: Rain... I know. Bye *hangs up*

*END of Convo*

The rain was getting harder so she decided to go back for Jinyoung but when she got there, “U-Uh? Where is he?” he was already gone, she started to look for him but he wasn’t in the memorial park, “Darn it... the rain’s getting heavier” she said to herself, she ran out and continued to look for him

“Jinyoung-ssi!” she called but she still can’t find him. She continued to run while she was already soaking wet, she passed by a playground and saw someone sitting on the swing “Jinyoung-ssi?” she said as she went near him. Jinyoung was soaking wet, he was also sobbing, “Yah!” she proclaimed, Jinyoung looked up to her, she was surprised to see the sad and teary eyes that Jinyoung had “W-Were you crying?” she asked, Jinyoung stood up and said “I... I” Jinyoung suddenly felt like his head was spinning around, he was getting wobbly, “Hey” MiYu said as she took hold of him, suddenly, his head fell on her shoulder and she could feel him hugging her “U-Uh?” she wondered as she was starting to blush, “J-Jinyoung-ssi?” she said, “MiYu... let’s stay like this for a while” he said as he hugged her tightly, MiYu’s eyes widened because of what he said

(Play: Because It’s You At Me by Hyorin)

“I-Idiot! It’s raining heavily, we better find a place to shelter!” she proclaimed but Jinyoung just hugged her tightly

                Moments later, they decided to shelter at a gazebo, Jinyoung didn’t feel so good, he was burning up “Looks like you have a fever” she said then she sighed, she let him rest on her shoulder while waiting for CNU and the others.
After 5 minutes, “Hey! Is hyung okay?” Baro asked as he and the others approached them, CNU put his jacket around Jinyoung and decided to give him a piggy back ride while Baro helped him, “Thanks for calling us MiYu-ssi” Sandeul said as he placed his jacket around MiYu, “You’re welcome” MiYu replied then they went in the car and went back to the dorm.

                “*sigh* I have to call Kwangmin and tell him that everything’s fine but... (-_-) stupid phone got wet and it won’t turn on...” she mumbled then she felt a towel was gently thrown on her head and it covered her face, “Uh?” she wondered as she moved the towel to see who placed it “Instead of worrying about your phone, aren’t you worried that you might get sick too?” she saw GongChan standing in front of her, “Heh, well for your information brat, I have a strong resistance so there’s no need for me to worry!” she proclaimed as she felt proud of what she said “Keh” GongChan said then he sat next to her and started to dry her hair off using the towel, she noticed how GongChan was close to her, she lowered her head so that he can’t see her blushing “There, all dried up” he said as placed the towel on the side “Uh? What’s wrong?” he asked as he noticed that MiYu wasn’t looking at him at all, “N-Nothing” she replied, “Heh, if you’re wondering why I’m nice to you now, it’s because you helped Jinyoung hyung and comforted him...” GongChan said, “W-Wait, you’re not mad because I went with Jinyoung-ssi out?” MiYu questioned, “I understand that today is a sad day for hyung, that’s why... if you’re the one that would make him smile today, then I’m fine with it...” GongChan replied, “I... I see” said MiYu.

“B-By the way, how is he?” she asked, “Hyung is now resting, don’t worry, after some sleep he’ll feel better” GongChan replied “Oh, that’s good to know” she said then she kept quiet; there was an awkward silence between them, then...

“Umm, I know that it’s none of my business but... what was your sister like to Jinyoung-ssi?” she asked, “You’re really that curious huh? Well, noona and hyung were enemies before they became lovers, they met during my birthday party and noona just arrived from the states that time. They didn’t get along pretty well because... well, let’s just say that hyung was a bit of a ert before” GongChan said as he started to tell MiYu the whole story

Flashback: During GongChan’s Birthday Party

“You look handsome as ever Channie!”CNU beamed, “Thanks hyung ^^” GongChan replied, “By the way, where’s Jinyoung hyung?” he asked, “Probably flirting with the other girls” Baro responded, “Argsh, I hope that guy would be able to find a real girl whom he would fall for” said CNU then “Yah I heard that!” Jinyoung proclaimed, they turned around to see Jinyoung with a girl, “Tch... yah Channie, I heard that your sister is coming tonight too right? So where is she?” Baro asked “Yeah, I heard that she’s really pretty” Sandeul added “Well...” GongChan said, then... “Channie!” they heard someone yell from behind, they turned around and saw a really beautiful girl walking towards them, she went near GongChan and hugged him “I miss you soooooo much!” she proclaimed, “Noona... I miss you too” GongChan responded then he hugged her back, after that, he introduced her to the rest of B1A4, “Nice to meet you everyone, I’m Gong Chun Hei” she said as she flashed them her smile, the guys blushed and Jinyoung was somehow moved when he saw the girl smiling at him, he smirked and made his move “Hello my lovely lady, my name is Jung Jinyoung and I am like a big brother to our Channie here” he said as he took hold of Chun Hei’s hand and kissed it, he looked at Chun Hei and noticed that she was blushing “She’s falling for me, this is so easy” he thought as a grin was formed on his face but suddenly, Chun Hei smacked him on the head and all of them went (=[]=)

“So, you’re like a big brother to my brother huh? I hope he doesn’t become a erted player like you!”Chun Hei proclaimed, Jinyoung was pissed because of what she did and said that his so called lovey-dovey feeling turned into anger, “Mwo!? How dare you call me a erted player!?” he proclaimed, “Heh, look at all those girls waiting for you over there!” Chun Hei responded
 “(||-_-) still, you do not have the right to call me that!”
“Who cares? All I know is that you’re a player and you’re not fooling me!”,
“And who would hit on a flat chested woman like you!?”

“Uh-oh”GongChan said, “What’s wrong?” Sandeul asked “Noona really hates the word ‘flat chested’, she beats the crap out of someone who would call her that” GongChan replied “Then it means that...”

“Yah, call me flat chested one more time”Chun Hei said as she was clenching her fists, “Gladly... flat chest-” but before Jinyoung could continue what he was saying, Chun Hei suddenly attacked him and started to beat him up, the others wanted to help him but they were more terrified of Chun Hei

GongChan’s POV: And that is how those two became enemies. They didn’t get along pretty well but looks like Jinyoung hyung can’t hide the fact that he fell in love with noona ever since he first saw her. Noona also acts as if she is hyung’s mother, she would always discipline him and such and of course, beat him up but later on, we’ve noticed that hyung was starting to change, he wasn’t a player anymore and he was paying more attention to noona... then, one day hyung confessed and noona happily accepted his feelings and because of that, hyung felt like he was the happiest man alive... he was so happy and energetic, though we had to keep their relationship a secret since we were rookie stars back then but everything turned out fine until... we found out that noona had lung cancer... Jinyoung hyung was always there to look after her, every day he would visit the hospital to see her, even we were worried for him because there was a time when he almost collapsed during our performance on stage.

One day, noona was rushed to the emergency room and hyung was there beside her, he was there beside her until she breathed her last breath... he came out of the emergency room but with a smile on his face, Baro hyung asked him why he was smiling but he didn’t reply, though later on he said that he promised noona something but we’re not sure what it was...

“(=_=||) H-How... awkward” MiYu said after hearing the whole story, “I know but... after noona’s death, hyung was smiling less often until... he met you...” GongChan said as he turned to her “U-Uh?” MiYu wondered, “Hyung... he saw noona in you that’s why... that’s why now, he’s happy whenever you’re around” he added, “That’s flattering but-” “Believe me, he sees Chun Hei noona in you... come to think of it, you too somehow look a like... but noona’s prettier and smarter” said GongChan “(-’_‘-||) Why you little-” “You know what, it’s okay if you’re there to make him smile, to comfort him whenever he’s down, it’s fine with me... it’s okay if you admire him but *looks at MiYu in a serious way* don’t you ever fall in love with him” he said, MiYu was a bit nervous because he had a serious face on, she raised her brow and said “W-Why?”, GongChan leaned forward but MiYu kept moving backwards, her back hit the edge of the sofa and there was no escape for her already

“W-What are you doing?” she asked, “Don’t fall in love with him because...” MiYu noticed that GongChan’s face was only a few inches away from her face “You are mine” he said then he planted a kiss on her forehead and she froze up.

GongChan stood up and turned to her, “Remember that, you’re mine and you can’t fall in love with hyung” he said then he left. MiYu was frozen in her spot; she couldn’t believe what she GongChan said and did.

After closing the door to MiYu’s apartment, GongChan smacked himself on the head, “Darn it... I went too far today, tsk, oh well at least it made her nervous” he said then he went back to his apartment.

In Jinyoung's room, he was already awake but he didn’t get up, he was just staring at the ceiling and recalled what happened especially the part where he hugged MiYu tightly, he also remembered their conversation at the gazebo while waiting for the others to pick them up

Flashback

“I’m really sorry for running off like that, I... I don’t feel like myself today”Jinyoung said as he was still resting on MiYu’s shoulder, “It’s okay” she responded, “Thanks for accompanying me today, I owe you one” he said, MiYu smiled and patted him on the head “No need for that, just get some good rest when we get back to the apartment” she said, Jinyoung looked at her and saw her smiling at him, “I don’t get it... why do you I always see her in you?” he asked himself

He was upset because he remembered the promise that he made to Chun Hei...

“...if you ever meet someone who would remind you of me... please... I beg of you... don’t fall in love with her” –Chun Hei

“Chun Hei...” he said then he remembered MiYu again. He recalled how MiYu would smile at him and the time when she hugged him from behind after pulling him from almost getting hit by the car; he also remembered the hug from the playground, he sat up and held on to his chest

“I... I’m sorry Chun Hei, I don’t think I can keep that kind of promise...” he said

                Back in MiYu’s case, RING~ RING, her telephone rang and she answered it, “H-Hello?” she stuttered, “MiYu-ah? Are you okay?” the caller responded “Soo Min-ah, yeah, I’m fine. What’s up?” MiYu replied “Kwangmin tried to call your phone but he said that he couldn’t reach you... did something happen?” Soo Min asked “Oh that, you see I got wet on the rain and so did my phone and now it’s not working. I told myself that I was going to call his house but then it must’ve slipped off my mind” MiYu replied “Really? Okay then” said Soo Min “Can you please tell him that? I’m not feeling good right now and my head slightly hurts, I guess I’ll go to sleep already” said MiYu “Okay then, call me in the morning” said Soo Min “Ne~” MiYu responded then she hung up.

She threw herself on her bed and touched her forehead, “That brat... he kissed my forehead and called me his... WHAT THE HECK IS HIS PROBLEM!? (◣[]◢)”
