Chapter Twelve

The guy smiled and he stood up, “Nice to see you again MiYu” he said, MiYu was still shocked but at the same time, she was happy “Minwoo!” she proclaimed then she went near him and hugged him, Minwoo smiled and hugged her back, Minji smiled seeing them hug.

After hugging, “I can’t believe you’re here, I mean look at you... you’re... you’ve grown into a man!” MiYu proclaimed, “Thanks, you’ve grown yourself, I can’t believe you’ve turned into a girl!” Minwoo responded, “I don’t agree with you on that one Minwoo, she still hates to wear a dress” Minji inserted, “Uh” said Minwoo and MiYu rolled her eyes

“I don’t get it, why did you call me and not Kwangmin? You guys are best friends” said MiYu “That’s because I want to surprise him” Minwoo replied, “Eh?” MiYu wondered and Minwoo winked at her.

                Meanwhile, Kwangmin felt lonely after MiYu left so he was resting his head on his desk and waited for her to come back, suddenly...

“I’m back” MiYu said as she opened the door, Kwangmin quickly sat up “So who was it?” he asked, MiYu smiled and instead of answering Kwangmin

“Come in” she said as she let Minwoo enter their office, Kwangmin widened his eyes and he was surprised to see Minwoo “Minwoo!” he proclaimed, he stood up, went near him and hugged him.

“Okay, I think that’s enough of the hugging” Minwoo said as he broke the hug, “Dude! I can’t believe you’re here!” Kwangmin proclaimed, “Well believe it or not because I am staying for good!” Minwoo responded, “Seriously!?” both Kwangmin and MiYu exclaimed, then “He is, in fact, he’ll be working here as an editor” Minji inserted, the two were very happy to know that Minwoo will be working with them

“This is great; we should throw a party to celebrate!” Kwangmin proclaimed, then “Hold up, have you forgotten? You still have to do your work” said Minji “(=_=) Right” the two said, Minwoo laughed and said “I’ll see you guys around then” and he and Minji left while the two continued with their work.

During lunch break~

“Where should we eat?” asked Sandeul “I don’t know, any ideas Channie?” Baro said as he turned to GongChan but GongChan wasn’t paying attention at all, he was spacing out “Earth to Channie?” he said as he waved his hand in front of GongChan “Uh?” GongChan snapped out of it and turned to Baro

“Did you say something?” he said, “(-__-) I asked if you know where can we eat lunch” Baro responded, “Well, I-” but before GongChan could finish what he was saying, his phone suddenly beeped

“Wait a minute hyung” he said as he took out his phone and read the message, he was surprised to see who it was from

From: 꼴사나운 (Clumsy) Park MiYu
                “Yah, where are you now? I think you left something while we were staying at the rooftop. Text Back”

“Uh, I left something? But what?” GongChan asked himself then he texted back

BEEP. The message tone alerted that someone had sent a text message, MiYu opened the message and it was from GongChan

From: 애새끼 (Brat) GongChan Shik
                “What are you talking about? By the way, we’re still at the Radio Station; the hyungs are having a hard time where will we eat... Have you eaten lunch yet?”

BEEP.

From: 꼴사나운 (Clumsy) Park MiYu
                “Oh, I haven’t eaten lunch yet. Kwangmin and I are planning to eat at Puccini’s”

GongChan smirked after reading the text message; he didn’t bother to reply anymore then he heard the bickering of his hyungs still fighting over where to eat, he got irritated that he yelled “HEY!” and they turned to him

“I know where we can eat” he said, “Uh?” the rest wondered.

At Puccini’s “Argh, I don’t know why but I’m starting to hate this place” MiYu said as she sat down “Oh? Why is that?” asked Minwoo “Minji noona set her up on a blind date here and it didn’t turn out well” Kwangmin replied, “Really? I can’t believe noona still likes to meddle in your love life” Minwoo said as he turned to MiYu, “Yep, sometimes I wish I was the only child” said MiYu “But if you were an only child, then you would be the busier one” said Kwangmin “You’re right, ARGH! Can we stop talking about siblings? (-_-)” said MiYu and both Kwangmin and Minwoo laughed at him.
The waiter approached their tables and gave them the menus, they ordered and while waiting, they were talking about their high school days.

Suddenly, “Woah~ this place is amazing!” they heard someone proclaimed, the three turned to the door and both MiYu and Kwangmin were surprised to see B1A4 “Who knew that you’re familiar with a place like this” CNU said to GongChan, GongChan smirked and said “I’ve been here already so yeah...” then he noticed MiYu and Kwangmin along with Minwoo, his eyes were locked on MiYu who was surprised to see them, he gave her a smirk and then went to the table where the waiter told them to sit.

The other members were fascinated by the place that they didn’t notice MiYu. On the other hand, “Do you two know them?” Minwoo asked as he noticed the eye contact that MiYu and GongChan had

“Well, we interviewed them once and oh, their apartment is next to MiYu’s” Kwangmin replied “Really? Woah~ you guys sure are lucky, you get to meet famous stars, I can’t wait to work at Five Star Magazine and meet a lot of stars! Especially SNSD (≧ω≦)” Minwoo responded “And I thought you weren’t interested in girls (-_-)” said Kwangmin “But I never said I wasn’t interested in GIRL GROUPS” said Minwoo, MiYu giggled and Kwangmin rolled his eyes, moments later, their orders arrived and they started eating.

While eating, MiYu’s phone BEEPED. “Uh” she said as she brought her phone out and read the message

From: 애새끼 (Brat) GongChan Shik
                “Meet me outside, now”

“Is he crazy? Can’t he see that I’m still eating” MiYu murmured to herself

BEEP.

From: 꼴사나운 (Clumsy) Park MiYu
                “I’m still eating, later okay?”

BEEP.

From: 애새끼 (Brat) GongChan Shik
                “Meet me outside N.O.W.” –emphasis on the NOW

“URGH!” MiYu proclaimed as she stood up, “Where are you going?” asked Kwangmin “Outside, don’t worry, it will only take a second” MiYu replied then she went outside, GongChan noticed that MiYu was already outside so he excused himself and went outside as well.

“Hey klutz!” he called out and as usual, MiYu felt irritated hearing the word ‘klutz’ “So where is it?” he said as he stood beside her, “Give me your hand” said MiYu “Uh” GongChan shrugged then he gave his hand to MiYu and MiYu placed something on it, when GongChan was able to look at it...

“Uh? What the?” he said as he was surprised to see a small bear key chain “Where did you find this?” he asked “I told you, at the rooftop, while we were staying there and you were *blush* resting on my shoulder” MiYu replied “Uh” GongChan said then he looked at the key chain once more, he suddenly put a serious face on, “Is something wrong?” she asked him “This is... not mine” he said “Uh?” MiYu wondered “What do you mean it’s not yours? It has the letter ‘C’ on it, so it must be yours” she added but then GongChan shook his head and said “That’s not mine... its Chun Hei noona’s”  

“E-Eh?” MiYu was surprised, “I gave it to her during her 19^th birthday...” GongChan added then he gave it back to MiYu “Here” he said, “Uh?” MiYu wondered as she received it “You can keep it if you want but you can also throw it away just... don’t show it to Jinyoung hyung” he added then he went back inside the restaurant, MiYu was left dumbfounded outside, then

“Hold up... I’m supposed to return this to him, but he’s giving it back... and throw it away? Is he kidding me? This is his sister’s for goodness sake! He should be keeping this in case she might want it back!” MiYu said to herself then she went back inside but she didn’t go directly to their table, instead, she went to the table where B1A4 were

“Yah GongChan Shik!” she proclaimed as she walked towards them, the other members were surprised to see her. GongChan released a sigh and turned to MiYu

“What now?” he said but then MiYu gave him the keychain once more, “I told you to keep it” he said, “You should be the one keeping it!” MiYu responded “What?” said GongChan “That belongs to your sister’s, what if she’s looking for it now and she can’t find it? At least when she comes back you’ll be able to give it to her” said MiYu, “When she comes back?” GongChan said to himself then he let out a sarcastic laugh, “When my sister comes back... I think that’ll be impossible” he added, “W-What?” said MiYu, GongChan stood up and gave the keychain to MiYu then he faced his hyungs “I’m not hungry anymore, Sandeul hyung, Baro hyung, you two can share my order. I’m going out for a walk” he said then he left.

MiYu stood on the same spot, still shocked of what happened, she was confused by what GongChan said about how impossible it would be for his sister to come back. “MiYu...” Kwangmin said as he and Minwoo were looking at her, then

“I guess you still don’t know huh?” Jinyoung said as he stood up, “Uh, hyung!” said Baro “W-What are you talking about?” MiYu asked, “Gong Chun Hei... Channie’s sister is... gone” Jinyoung replied, he suddenly felt a lot of needles piercing through his heart after he said Chun Hei’s name, memories of him and her were suddenly appearing in his thoughts

“Hyung?” Sandeul said as he noticed Jinyoung's face but then Jinyoung gave him a fake smile and mouthed, “I’m Fine” suddenly, MiYu ran out of the restaurant

“MiYu!” both Kwangmin and Minwoo proclaimed as MiYu left the restaurant but then, “Let’s leave her alone” CNU said to them, “Uh?” the two wondered.

In MiYu’s case, “GongChan Shik!” she called out GongChan’s name while looking for him, “Argsh” she murmured then she tried calling him but he wouldn’t answer

“Yah! GongChan Shik, where are you!?” she added then she continued to look for him.

Back at Puccini’s...  Jinyoung was very quiet while they were eating, he still couldn’t remove the memories of him and Chun Hei that were now stuck in his head, then... “Umm...” Kwangmin said as he approached them, they turned to him “W-We’ll be going ahead” he said, “M-hm, we’ll see you around” said CNU “Stay safe!” Sandeul added, Kwangmin nodded his head and he and Minwoo left.

Outside, “Yah, aren’t we going to look for MiYu?” Minwoo asked him, “We should be, but something tells me that we shouldn’t so let’s just wait for her call or until she gets back to the office” Kwangmin replied, “Uh, okay then” Minwoo responded and the two went back to the company building.

Back in MiYu’s case, she was still looking for GongChan, she went to the big park “GongChan!” she called but didn’t find him there. She went to some familiar boutiques “Have you seen a tall guy? He looks two years older than me” she asked some of the sales lady but they shook their heads; he still wasn’t there, “Where are you?” she said to herself then she decided to go to the playground near their apartment building.

When she arrived there, “uh” she felt relieved as she saw GongChan sitting on the swing with his head down; she slowly walked towards him, “Uh?” GongChan wondered as he looked up, when he saw MiYu’s face, he avoided eye to eye contact with her and lowered his head again, then

“I-I’m sorry” MiYu apologized, GongChan paused for a while, then “For what?” he asked, “I didn’t know that your sister already... is already gone, I’m sorry” MiYu responded. “Heh, it’s not like you’re the reason why she died so there’s no point of you saying sorry to me” said GongChan and MiYu just kept quiet, she didn’t know what to say anymore so she just kept quiet.

“Why are you here anyway?” he asked as he turned to her, “U-uh, well...” she said, “Why did I go after him anyway?” she said to herself then she remembered the keychain “S-Should I still throw this?” she asked as she showed GongChan the keychain, he picked it from her and looked at it

“You’re right. It’ll be a waste to throw this away” he said, he continued to look at it then “Give me your phone” he added, “Uh, okay” MiYu responded then she gave her phone to GongChan. GongChan started to place the keychain on her phone and “Tada~ it looks cute” he said then he gave her phone back, “You’re giving this to me?” she asked “Like I said before, you can keep it... and maybe who knows...”he said as he stood up, “Maybe you’ll be hyung’s next girlfriend” he added then walked ahead.

MiYu was shocked of what she heard, she was confused and at the same time, she felt offended

“Yah!” she called and GongChan turned to her, she went near him and said “What did you mean by that?” “Heh, you like him right? He seems to like you too so I guess there’s a possibility that the two of you will end up together... but don’t worry, I don’t give up that easily, I’ll do whatever it takes to prevent hyung from having feelings for you” GongChan responded then he continued his way.

“M-Mwo!?” MiYu proclaimed

***

“I’m back~” she said as she entered their office, “Uh, good to know” Kwangmin said then he focused on his work, MiYu sat on her desk and brought out her phone from her pocket, he saw the keychain and remembered what GongChan said

“Heh, you like him right? He seems to like you too so I guess there’s a possibility that the two of you will end up together... but don’t worry, I don’t give up that easily, I’ll do whatever it takes to prevent hyung from having feelings for you” –GongChan

MiYu’s POV:

That brat sure is weird; I mean what did he mean by that? So what if I like Jinyoung? I only admire him, I never imagined for him to be my *chills* boyfriend I mean, who does that brat think he is? He thinks that I’m interested in having a boyfriend? Heh, heck no! I’m not interested at all; that’s why I don’t like it when my sister sets me up on weird dates because I am not interested in having a boyfriend yet. Sheesh.

Men these days, they think that just because a woman admires them, means that they want to be her boyfriend already, heh, WELL NEWS FLASH: There are some women who are smart enough to realize that and some men who are dumb enough to not realize that, pshh.

Well, at least I know Kwangmin’s not like them. I’m thankful that my best friend was a guy that way I wouldn’t be a man hater...

A few hours have passed, YES! I’m almost done with my work~ I better ask Kwangmin how he’s doing

“Yah! I’m almost done, how about you?” I asked, “Same here” he replied without even looking at me. Is Kwangmin okay? He never talks to me in that tone, I wonder if he’s feeling well?

I stood up and went near him, “Are you okay?” I asked and he just nodded his head while focusing on his work, he’s lying “Are you sure?” I asked again and I placed my hand on his forehead to check his temperature but he removed it, “Uh?” “I’m fine” he said then he stood up and left the room, “Wait, where are you going!?” I asked but he just closed the door

What the heck is wrong with him?

Kwangmin’s POV:

I headed to the bathroom and washed my face, I looked at myself in the mirror

ARGH! Darn it! What is wrong with me? Why did I suddenly talk like that to MiYu like that? I bet she’s worried because of the tone I used; I mean I never used that kind of tone when I talk to her
but... why did I act a little bit cold to her anyway?

*remembers the time when MiYu ran after GongChan*

Uh? Am I jealous? AAAHHHH! That’s it, I’M FREAKING JEALOUS! I mean, who wouldn’t be? The girl you love just went after some guy and left you in the restaurant, she never even called if she’s all right or something I mean, I was freaking worried about her! URRGGH!

Jo Kwangmin, pull yourself together... you can’t be cold towards her or else she might feel that loneliness again, remember? You promised her that you would understand her? Okay...  okay, I’ll just go back there and apologize, WOOH!

I entered the office and saw her standing up and drinking water, I walked towards her and suddenly hugged her from behind, I can tell that she was surprised alright; I mean I’ve never hugged her from behind “K-Kwangmin?” she said, I can feel she was really surprised and nervous, I mean her heart was beating fast. Even I myself was embarrassed because I did that but still, I wanted to hug her

“I’m sorry for acting that way to you a while ago, I guess I wasn’t feeling better at all” I whispered, she was blushing, I can see it from behind, I suddenly blushed as well. “I-It’s okay, I understand ^^v” she said, how cute, she was saying it in a nervous way, I bet she really finds the situation awkward, then

“K-K-Kwangmin?” she said, “Ne?” I responded, “C-Can you please let go already? I’m having a hard time breathing” she said, uh? I can’t believe I’m still hugging her, I feel so embarrassed! >///<
I let go of her and said “Sorry ^^v” she smiled and said, “Its okay, but next time, tell me if something’s bothering you or if you’re not feeling well okay? Remember, we’re best friends and we should tell each other about how we feel” I nodded my head in reply, she smiled once more then went to her desk.

I thought about what she said: “...we’re best friends and we should tell each other about how we feel” MiYu, is that all we’ll ever be? Just best friends? What if I tell you that I love you? Not as a best friend but something more than that? What would you do?

I released a sigh and went back to my seat

Best friends... is that all we’ll ever be?

Author’s Note: So it was Minwoo, XD I'm planning to let the 3mins present in the story, what do you think? Poor Kwangmin, he loves MiYu but the question is, will MiYu love him back? :O I hope you guys enjoyed the Chapter ^^v
