Chapter Fourteen

Jinyoung was hugging her for a few more minutes and MiYu was starting to worry because there were a lot of people looking at them “J-Jinyoung-ssi” she said once more, luckily this time, Jinyoung snapped out of it “Uh?” he realized that he was still hugging MiYu, he immediately let her go “S-Sorry!” he apologized, “I-It’s okay” MiYu replied then she sat back down

“I’m really sorry for hugging you like that, I thought you were-” “Chun Hei-ssi?” MiYu continued and Jinyoung kept quiet. “It’s okay, you must’ve missed her a lot huh” said MiYu “Uh, m-hm. When I saw that key chain, memories of us suddenly came into my head and I wasn’t aware of my surroundings any more. Uh, I’m really sorry again” Jinyoung responded, MiYu smiled and said “It’s okay, really ^^”

Moments later, their food arrived and they started eating. After having dinner, they decided to walk around for a while; MiYu was captivated by the city lights while Jinyoung was looking at her

“I can’t believe it, I actually called her ‘Chun Hei’ omo... she must’ve felt bad...” he thought to himself, he had a guilty face on and MiYu noticed it “What’s with the face?” she asked, “U-uh, n-nothing” Jinyoung replied “Heh, if you’re still guilty after calling me Chun Hei, I told you... it’s okay and I understand you, so don’t feel guilty any more, okay?” said MiYu, “Uh” Jinyoung said then he smiled and nodded his head. MiYu smiled back at him and they continued to walk around, after walking around, MiYu was already tired so Jinyoung decided that they should go back to the apartment already and MiYu agreed.

Before entering their respective apartments, “Thanks again for having dinner with me” said Jinyoung, “No problem, besides... I owe you one, right?” MiYu responded, “Uh, heh... uhm, sorry again, okay?” he said, MiYu patted him on the shoulder and said “I told you, its okay ^^v” MiYu responded, Jinyoung smiled and went near her then he suddenly hugged her and it shocked her, “Good Night... Park MiYu” he said then he let go and went inside.

MiYu suddenly felt like burning up, she wanted to scream but nothing came out from her voice, she immediately went inside, shut the door and leaned on it, she held on to her chest and felt her heart beating fast

“I can’t believe he hugged me for the second time, but he said my name instead of Chun Hei’s... uh...” she said to herself, a smile was formed on her face. Before she went to bed, she checked her phone and there were two messages

                “Yah, how did your date go? I bet it was another jerk huh?”

MiYu smirked and replied

                “Jung Jinyoung-ssi isn’t a jerk (:P)”

                “I bought some cute swimsuits for you to wear on your Hawaii Trip >w<”

“(-_-) There is no way I am wearing those swimsuits” MiYu said to herself, she didn’t bother to reply. Moments later, she was about to go to sleep when suddenly BEEP. 1 Message

                “W-WHAT!? You went on a date with HYUNG!?”

MiYu smirked and she just replied GongChan with a smiley face then she went to sleep. When weekend came, at the airport...

“I CAN’T BELIEVE WE’RE GOING TO HAWAII!!” Minwoo proclaimed, “Me either, but... someone doesn’t seem too excited though” Kwangmin responded, Minwoo looked at MiYu who was sitting down and feeling uneasy

“Yah, are you okay?” he asked her, “I don’t know, but I really feel that something’s up...” MiYu responded, “Argsh, I bet you’re just nervous” said Minwoo “Why would I be nervous?” asked MiYu “Because last time I remembered, you weren’t good with airplanes” Minwoo responded, “That was before, I’m perfectly fine with it now...” said MiYu

Inside the airplane, “Perfectly fine huh? (=_=)” Minwoo said to himself as he looked at MiYu who was freaking out, “We won’t crash right? I mean, this is safe right?” she kept asking the stewardess some questions about safety and all, Minwoo rolled his eyes while Kwangmin quietly laughed, “How cute” he murmured, Minwoo heard him and gave him a grin “What?” said Kwangmin.

Moments later, the plane took off and they were off to Hawaii~ the flight from Seoul to Hawaii was 8 hours long, non-stop. They arrived there at around 3:30PM, “Urgh, my head hurts” MiYu said as she lied down on the couch. They stayed at the Park villa which was near the beach. The villa was huge that it can fit 15 people but there were only three of them, “We should’ve stayed at the hotel instead” said Kwangmin “Yeah, but Unni told us to stay here, in fact, she said that we’ll be having guests” said MiYu “Uh? I wonder who they are” said Minwoo, then

“Is my dongsaeng tired?” they heard someone from behind, they turned around and was surprised to see Minji

“U-Unni!?” MiYu proclaimed, “Noona?” the other two wondered, Minji put her bags down and greeted “Annyeong~ oops, I mean ALOHA!” and the three just stared at her

“What? You thought I was going to let the three of you go to Hawaii? Why, that would be very boring indeed” she said, “Uh, wait a minute, you mentioned that we’ll have guests... well, where are they?” asked MiYu

“Oh, right. Wait here, I’ll go get them” said Minji then she went outside for a while; the three of them looked at each other, suddenly

“Woah, this is so cool!” they heard a familiar voice proclaimed, then “UH!?” MiYu widened her eyes when she saw their guests; Kwangmin and Minwoo were surprised themselves

“MiYu-ssi!” Sandeul beamed and went near her, “Annyeong! ^^v” he greeted, MiYu couldn’t respond, she was still in shock, she looked behind her and saw the rest of B1A4 including Jinyoung, who was waving at her and mouthed ‘Hey’ she turned to her sister and noticed the grin on her face, “Park Minji...” she said in her thoughts

Inside MiYu’s room, “Why did you bring them here!?” she proclaimed at her sister, “Well...” Minji replied, as she showed a poster of the latest variety show, ‘Love Challenge: Hawaii Edition’ “What the heck is this?” she asked Minji, “Well, Five Star Magazine is partnering up with KBS to produce this new variety show,  and B1A4 will be starring in it along” said Minji “Eh? How about Kwangmin and Minwoo?” asked MiYu “They’ll be hosting the show with TVXQ’s Jung Yunho” Minji responded “Oh, really? Have you told them?” MiYu wondered and Minji nodded her head, “Woah~ that’s so cool” said MiYu, then “Is my sister jealous because her friends get to be on TV and she doesn’t?” Minji asked, “Why would I be jealous? Those kinds of stuff are not my thing” MiYu replied “Really? Well, too bad. I included you in the five girls who will participate in the game show, “WHAT!?” MiYu proclaimed, “You’ll be in the show, and you have to pick one member from B1A4 to be your partner, so I hope you’ll pick the right one, well I better get to my room and fix my things too... hey, I prepared a dress for you to wear for tonight’s dinner, we’ll be eating outside and have the a short discussion about the show, well... see you then!” Minji responded then she left MiYu’s room

MiYu was left dumbfounded, in B1A4’s case, they each had their own rooms same with Kwangmin and Minwoo. GongChan entered his room and noticed that it was a comfortable place to sleep, “Heh, who knew that klutz was actually the sister of Five Star Magazine’s president” he said to himself, he started to unpack, after unpacking, he laid down on his bed and rested for a while, but then he got bored so he grabbed his phone, he noticed that he had received 3 messages

                “Hello everyone, this is Park Minji, please be aware that dinner will be ready at 7:00PM. I’ve prepared some clothes for you guys to wear; it’s in your closet. Be down by 7, okay? Hope you’ll enjoy your stay here!”

                “Is out Channie okay in there? How is the room? Do you feel comfortable sleeping in it?”

“Heh, I can’t believe hyung still treats me like a baby” GongChan said to himself then he threw his phone on the bed as he stood up to check the clothes that Minji prepared.

It was 5 minutes to 7 and Kwangmin was already done, he went to MiYu’s room and knocked on the door “Yah, you ready?” he asked, “You can go ahead, I’ll catch up” MiYu responded without opening the door “You sure?” Kwangmin asked, “Yep!” MiYu responded, “Okay then” Kwangmin said then he went downstairs.

In MiYu’s case, she was staring at the dress that Minji prepared, “Heh, there is no way I am wearing you tonight” she said then she threw the dress back to her closet.

                When Kwangmin arrived outside, the rest of B1A4 members were already there and he was surprised to see 4 girls, he recognized the other two who were talking to Minwoo, “Yah! Kim Eun Mi, Cho Soo Min!” he called and the two girls looked at him, “Kwangmin-ah?” they said in unison. Kwangmin went near them and hugged them, “Woah, look who’s become more handsome!” Eun Mi proclaimed, “You said it” Soo Min responded, “Heh, you two still haven’t changed” said Kwangmin, then “Kwangmin, where’s MiYu?” Minji asked, “She said she’ll catch up” Kwangmin responded as he sat down

“I can’t wait to see MiYu again” said Soo Min, “Yeah, I mean it’s been so long since we’ve seen her, right?” asked Eun Mi, then “I’m here~” MiYu said as she came down. All of them were shocked because of what she was wearing, Minji’s jaw dropped as she saw her sister wearing a loose white shirt and below the knee leggings, “What the heck are you wearing!?” she proclaimed, “I don’t want to wear that stupid dress you picked” MiYu responded, “But you’re not properly dressed!” Minji proclaimed, “So? I don’t need to be properly dressed to eat dinner, I’ll change once I finish eating” MiYu responded as she sat down, she turned to the left and saw the guys, she turned to right and saw the girls including, “Eun Mi? Soo Min?” she wondered, “MiYu!” the two proclaimed, MiYu stood up and hugged them, “I miss you guys so much!” she proclaimed while hugging them, “Same here!” the two responded, then “I think that’s enough hugging for now, let’s eat!” Minwoo proclaimed and MiYu went back to her seat.

While eating, Minji introduced each one of them to each other; the other two girls were Lee Hana and Jang Yun Hee. “It’s nice to meet you girls ^^” Jinyoung said as he flashed his smile, the two girls were blushing while both Eun Mi and Soo Min just gave him a normal reaction, that was what MiYu likes about her friends, they don’t give in to guys easily.

“What made you guys want to join this whole variety show thing anyway?” MiYu asked comfortably, she forgot that B1A4 was eating with them, “We didn’t... your sister trapped us, just like what she did to you” Eun Mi replied, “I heard that (-_-)” said Minji, “At first, we find the whole thing ridiculous but then again, we thought that we get to be on TV and we’re in Hawaii, so we gave in anyway” Soo Min added, “Oh...” MiYu replied, meanwhile “MiYu-ssi’s friends are scaring me” Sandeul whispered to CNU “I know, they’re like MiYu-ssi but I think they’re worse than her” CNU responded, then

“So, Soo Min-ssi, I see that you are interested in hats” Baro said as he noticed Soo Min wearing a beanie hat “Uh, I’m interested in a lot of things, not only hats” Soo Min replied then she continued to eat. “Cold” both Sandeul and CNU said in unison.

                Moments later, TVXQ’s Yunho arrived along with the PD of the show, “Everyone, I’d like you to meet the Host of the show, but I think all of you know him already” said Minji and the rest nodded their heads, MiYu suddenly glared at him “Such cute kids” Yunho said to her then he spotted MiYu and Kwangmin “I see that the two of you are still working for her magazine” he said to them, “Isn’t it obvious?” MiYu responded coldly then she continued eating, the others were shocked of her response, “Yah, why is she being impolite towards Yunho-sunbae?” Minwoo asked Kwangmin “Well, Yunho-sunbae used to date Minji noona but things didn’t turn out well which made MiYu hate him” Kwangmin responded “Really?” asked Minwoo, Kwangmin nodded his head “But he and noona are good friends now, though I don’t understand why MiYu still hates him” he added, “Uh” Minwoo said as he turned to MiYu.

After eating, they continued to discuss about the show, but as promised, MiYu went to back inside to change her clothes, while she was gone...

“So tomorrow, the first part would be choosing your partners, and how to do that? The guy has to choose a girl that he thinks is a suitable partner, if ever there are two or more guys who chose the same girl then they will move to the second part where the girl will be the one to choose her partner. When she chooses her partner, the guy who was not chosen will be partnered up with the available girl” the PD explained, “When the pairs are ready, that is when we begin the first round, which would be ‘Beach Volleyball’ but there is a twist to that, just a reminder: Make sure that you know how to swim” he added “Why?” asked Sandeul “It’s a secret ;)” the PD responded and he continued to explain more

Meanwhile, Yunho, Kwangmin and Minwoo were rehearsing their lines. “Woah, you two are good at this” Yunho complemented them, “Thanks hyung ^^” the two replied in unison, then “Yah Kwangmin, have you seen MiYu? She’s going to miss what the PD is explaining” Minji said as she went near them, “Uh, I think she hasn’t come out from the Villa yet” Kwangmin answered “Seriously?” Minji responded, “Shall I go check on her?” Yunho offered,
“Yeah, you do that and you won’t be able to host the show tomorrow because of the black eye you’ll get, I’ll check on her” said Minji
“I’ll come too” Kwangmin said as he stood up
“But we have to rehearse for the show” said Minwoo
“Don’t worry, we can take a 5 minutes break, since the two of you are already good at it” said Yunho
“Thanks hyung” Kwangmin said then he and Minji went inside the villa.

                When they arrived there, they knocked on MiYu’s door but... “MiYu?” Minji said as she knocked again but MiYu didn’t answer the door, “Yah! Park MiYu, open the door!” she proclaimed, but still, MiYu didn’t open the door and Minji was starting to worry, “Yah Kwangmin, what should we do? She’s not opening the door!” Minji proclaimed, “Don’t worry noona, I got this” Kwangmin said as he took out a card and inserted it in between the door, moments later... “Aha!” Kwangmin said as he successfully unlocked the door, the two slowly opened it and searched for MiYu when suddenly, “YAH!” Minji proclaimed as she saw her sister lying on her bed and she was already asleep

“Park MiYu (-’_'-||)” she said as she was holding back her anger, “Uh-oh” said Kwangmin .

                The next morning, when GongChan arrived at the dining area, he saw MiYu resting her head on the table, “Uh?” he wondered, he noticed that there was a can of soda in front of her, it was still unopened. He smirked and quietly went near her, grabbed the can of soda and started to shake it, after a few more shakes, he placed it back, then he sat in front of her

“Hey klutz!” he proclaimed, MiYu wasn’t fully asleep so she sat up when she heard GongChan’s voice, “Uh?” she said “You do realize that it’s wrong to sleep in the dining table?” he said, “So? This is my place; I can sleep wherever I want” MiYu replied, “Uh? Heh, look who’s talking like a brat already” said GongChan “Shut  up, I bet I was just influenced by you” MiYu responded as she grabbed the can of soda, GongChan noticed that she was about to open it, he wanted to burst into laughter but he was holding it in so that MiYu won’t suspect him.

MiYu opened the can and SPLASH! Soda was all over her and GongChan couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “ARRRRGGGH!” she proclaimed as she was all wet and sticky, then she turned to GongChan with a furious look “YOU!” she proclaimed, “Haha, you are such an idiot!” GongChan proclaimed as he stood up, he was still laughing then he left.

“ARRGH!” MiYu proclaimed once more then she went back to her room to take a quick bath and change, she was looking for a new pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Luckily, she found some and put it on. She tied her hair to the side since it will be hot when she gets downstairs, suddenly, she received a text message, it was from Kwangmin and she read it

From: Jo Kwangmin
                “Where are you? The show is about to start in 7 minutes”

MiYu’s eyes widened, she immediately ran downstairs. In GongChan’s case, “I thought you were going to get MiYu-ssi?” Baro asked, “I was, but then she decided to take a quick soda bath first” GongChan replied and he quietly laughed to himself, suddenly, someone pulled his hair

“YAH!” he cried, he looked back and noticed it was MiYu and she was really angry... “I think we should go, looks like these two will have another war” Sandeul said as he and Baro started to walk away leaving the two behind “Why did you do that!?” GongChan cried, “Why did you spill soda all over me!?” MiYu responded “That’s because you-” “ 3 minutes and the show will start, everyone get ready!” the PD announced, MiYu was suddenly dragged away by some staff members and positioned her next to where the girls were

“Hey, cute shirt” Soo Min complemented, “Thanks, I think” MiYu responded, she turned to GongChan and gave him a glare while GongChan just rolled his eyes.

“Okay, and we’re on in Three... Two...”

“ALOHA!” the three hosts, Yunho, Kwangmin & Minwoo proclaimed. “Welcome to the first episode of ‘Love Challenge: Hawaii Edition! I’m your host; TVXQ’s Jung Yunho and joining with me, are two new hosts, Jo Kwangmin and No Minwoo!” Yunho proclaimed, “Annyeonghaseyo, Jo Kwangmin-imnida” Kwangmin added, “Annyeonghaseyo, No Minwoo-imnida!” Minwoo continued. “So, Kwangmin, Minwoo... are you two excited about this new show?” Yunho asked, “You bet we are!” Minwoo responded, “Ne, in fact I’m excited how these pairs will show their best in order to win the grand prize!” Kwangmin added, “Grand prize?” the contestants started to wonder

“That’s right, the grand prize, and what is the grand prize Kwangmin-ssi?” said Yunho, “Well hyung, the grand prize is $50, 000 and an all expense paid dinner date in Café Sweet!” Kwangmin proclaimed, the contestants’ jaw dropped when they heard what the grand prize was, “I bet these contestants are excited to win these prizes, why don’t we go meet them?” said Minwoo “Yes, let’s ^^” Yunho responded and they went over to the five girls who were standing in line

“Hello there ladies, can you please introduce yourselves?” Yunho said and he gave the mic to the first girl, “Annyeonghaseyo, Cho Soo Min-imnida!” Soo Min introduced herself cheerfully, the other three also introduced themselves cheerfully but when it was MiYu’s turn to introduce herself “Park MiYu-imnida” she said in an expressionless face, Minji, who was behind the director, suddenly signaled MiYu to smile but MiYu just rolled her eyes

“O-kay, we sure have some cheerful ladies here” said Yunho, “Now let’s go over to our special guests who will participate in this show and its no other than the ever popular” said Minwoo “B1A4!” the three of them proclaimed and B1A4 waved to the camera, “Annyeonghaseyo, I am the Charismatic Leader, Jung Jinyoung!” Jinyoung proclaimed, “Annyeonghaseyo, I’m the kind-hearted CNU~” CNU added, “Annyeong, I’m the power vocal, Sandeul!” said Sandeul “Aloha people! I’m the Cool Rapper Baro!” Baro proclaimed, “Annyeong, I’m their cutest Maknae, GongChan~” GongChan said in a cute voice with matching cute actions.

MiYu couldn’t believe what she saw, she felt like laughing out loud because GongChan’s never really like that when he’s behind the camera. After introducing B1A4, “Okay, so how will these contestants be paired up? Well, it’s quite easy actually...” said Kwangmin “Ne~ all they have to do is that the boys will pick the girls whom they think, will be good as their partners” Minwoo added “So I think our guys over here have made their decisions, let’s start with their leader, Jinyoung-ssi, have you picked your partner already?” Yunho asked “Yes, I have” Jinyoung replied, “Good. Then can you call her name out?” said Kwangmin, Jinyoung nodded his head and said “Park MiYu” they were all surprised, well the girls were, the guys already expected for Jinyoung to choose MiYu.

“Okay, so Jinyoung-ssi picked MiYu-ssi, MiYu-ssi can you please stand right next to him?” Kwangmin said, MiYu was holding back her laughter because Kwangmin was talking to her in a formal way and it was really awkward, she stood next to Jinyoung and GongChan gave her a glare. “Now let’s move on to CNU-hyung, so have you picked a partner already?” asked Minwoo, “I chose, Jang Yun Hee” CNU responded and Yun Hee stood next to him. “So CNU-ssi and Jinyoung-ssi already have their partners, why don’t we turn to Sandeul-ssi” said Yunho, “Hyung, please sing the name of your partner” said Kwangmin “Okay then” said Sandeul “Kim Eun Mi” he sang, Eun Mi stepped forward then walked towards him and stood next to him, Baro was next to choose but before the hosts could even ask him, “Cho Soo Min!” he proclaimed which surprised everyone “Uh?” Soo Min wondered, “Woah, looks like we have an admirer here” Yunho teased, “Soo Min-ssi, can you please stand next to Baro-hyung?” said Kwangmin Soo Min walked towards Baro but when she turned to him, he gave her an awkward smile, she just rolled her eyes and didn’t mind him.

“The four members have already picked their partners and it’s time for their Maknae to pick his, in the girls’ side, we only have one contestant left and she is Lee Hana, will GongChan-ssi pick her?” said Yunho, Kwangmin handed the mic to GongChan and...

“I pick...” he said... “Park MiYu”

The other members’ jaw dropped when they heard what he said “EH!?” all of them cried, MiYu was surprised herself that she immediately turned to GongChan

“Ooh, looks like Park MiYu-ssi is already popular with the boys” Kwangmin said, MiYu looked at him and gave him a glare “Well, since GongChan-hyung picked MiYu-ssi as his partner and Jinyoung-hyung also picked her, we will have a part 2 where in MiYu-ssi will be the one to pick her partner” said Minwoo “And the remaining guy will be partnered up with Lee Hana-ssi” Kwangmin added “But of course, we are going to give MiYu-ssi some time to think, so we will find out who will she pick as her partner right after a short break” said Yunho

“And... CUT!” the director proclaimed, then “Please get your hands off me” Soo Min said as she turned to Baro, Baro pretended that he didn’t put his arms around her shoulder and Soo Min rolled her eyes then walked away.

“I hope we’ll be able to do well in this contest ^^” CNU said and Yun Hee nodded her head, “Let’s give our best Eun Mi-ssi” said Sandeul “M-hm” Eun Mi responded. Meanwhile, “So MiYu, who are you going to pick? Channie or hyung?” Baro asked as he went near her “Uh, I don’t know” MiYu replied, “You don’t know? So does it mean that Channie still has a chance?” asked Baro and MiYu just gave him a blank face, “Heh, well if you pick hyung, make sure you ready yourself” he said “Why is that?” MiYu wondered, “Hyung is the type of person who wants to give his best to win. He doesn’t like it when something gets in the way and all, so be prepared” Baro responded then he walked away.

MiYu thought about what he said, then “So if I pick him, it means that I’m just getting in the way right? I mean, I’m not even interested in this whole thing and it’s pretty obvious that I won’t be giving my 100% best, argsh” MiYu said to herself. After a few minutes, they were back on air

“Okay, so now is the time, can we ask Jung Jinyoung-ssi and GongChan Shik to step forward” said Yunho and the two stepped forward. “Now MiYu-ssi, all you have to do is hug the guy whom you choose to be your partner, okay?” said Yunho and MiYu nodded her head

“When I count to three, you will run to the guy and hug him and then yell, ‘I pick *insert name*’, okay?” Minwoo added, “One... two... THREE!” he proclaimed, MiYu ran to the guy she picked and hugged him

All of them were shocked on whom she picked; even both Jinyoung and GongChan were shocked themselves,

“I pick GongChan Shik!” MiYu proclaimed as she was hugging GongChan “EH!?” the other members proclaimed. Gongchan didn't know why, but he suddenly turned red.
