My New Experience
Let's Go Find Love!I wait in my hotel room until Kim Hyun Joong finally arrives.
“Annyeong,” he says when I open the front door.
“Come in,” I tell him.
“How do you like it here? I know it’s nothing special due to the fact that I didn’t really have time to prepare but I hope you feel comfortable,” Kim Hyun Joong says as he walks in.
“Ani-yo, to be honest I’ve never had such an extravagant room all to myself,” I confess.
“Do you feel lonely? Like I said before you can invite your friends anytime,” he tells me as he walks around.
“I’m alright. I don’t feel lonely.”
He suddenly stops and turns around to look at me. His eyes scan me.
I stand there, uncomfortable.
He smiles and continues walking around.
...
“So what is the plan for the next week or so?” I finally ask.
“Oh, I don’t know yet,” he says nonchalantly.
I look at him surprised.
He notices before continuing. “This is new to me too…” he says. He begins to look embarrassed. “To be honest, I am just as surprised as you that I actually did this. A part of me really didn’t want to see you go so… this happened.”
I can feel my face become burning red. “Gamsahabnida…”
…
We become silent.
…
“Well let’s get going then. You must be hungry. I know I am,” Kim Hyun Joong finally says. Breaking the silence.
…
…
We arrive at a café. “This is my favorite local place to go to when I feel like eating out for breakfast,” he says as he awkwardly pulls out the chair for me.
I look at him for a second before I decide to sit.
“Uh, sorry. I don’t normally do this for girls,” he confesses.
“You can say that again,” a voice says behind him. It’s Toa Ha Ha and he is accompanied by Kim Jae Joong.
I am immediately star struck.
“Yo,” Kim Hyun Joong nonchalantly greets them.
“Hey,” Kim Jae Joong replies. “So this is the girl Toa Ha Ha has been talking about.”
“Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Ah Mor Ri,” I say as a give him a slight bow.
He awkwardly bows back before sitting down.
“Mor Ri, you don’t have to be formal with this guy. Just call him Jae Joong,” Kim Hyun Joong tells me.
“Annyeonghaseyo,” Kim Jae Joong finally says, “go ahead. Let’s be familiar.”
“Yeh…” I say shyly.
“So… how long is this ‘program’ thing anyways?” he asks.
“It’s for about a week,” Kim Hyun Joong replies.
“Oh? And then what?” he asks.
“Well, after that,” Kim Hyun Joong replies grinning, “I don’t know.”
I sit there, awkwardly. ‘How am I supposed to respond to any of this?’ I ask myself.
…
“Mor Ri-ah, how’s the hotel you are staying out?” Toa Ha Ha asks.
“Oh, good,” I reply.
“You know, if you ever feel lonely, I wouldn’t mind spending the night,” he jokes.
“Yah!” Kim Hyun Joong yells.
“What? It’s not like she is your woman…just yet,” Toa Ha Ha teases.
Kim Jae Joong laughs.
…
The waiter finally comes by.
“Annyeonghaseyo, can we have the usual please?” Toa Ha Ha asks.
“Oh? okay,” the waiter says before leaving.
“This place has the best bibimbap,” Toa Ha Ha informs me.
“Oh, really?” I say with a grin.
“You are finally smiling…” Kim Hyun Joong suddenly says.
I look at him.
He is looking at me so softly.
I look away, blushing. “Why are you saying such a thing so suddenly? Why wouldn’t I be smiling?”
“Well, ever since yesterday I have been contemplating whether this was a good idea. I didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable,” he says honestly.
“Ani-yo, Kim Hyun Joong-sshi, ani-yo! I really do like it here! And I am very grateful! …I just need to get used to it that’s all…”
“Well, if you get too comfortable, you might not want to leave,” Kim Jae Joong jokes.
“Well… in that case, I must just have to find a way to come back then,” I joke. We laugh.
“You seem like a fun girl,” Kim Jae Joong suddenly says.
“Gamsahabnida, Jae Joong oppa,” I reply.
