So Cliché:What Boys Want:
Jackson points to the door like I didn’t know what one is to enter the building. I didn’t care though; the smell from the inside was delightful. I can already smell the ocean.
A worker welcomes me inside and hands me a menu before telling me that they are having a free dinner to anyone to celebrate the upcoming wedding of the owner’s daughter. She must be really special for this kind of event to happen.
The worker guides us to our table. “Let me complement you guys about how cute of a couple you two are,” she says with a bright smile.
“We’re not dating,” I kindly replied. Jackson doesn’t say a word.
The worker left us and Jackson pulls one of the seats and sat down. I sat across him keeping my eyes on the menu she handed us. Everything was just delicious, from the names to the pictures. “What are you getting?”
“I’m feeling for some crab soup…” he smiles at me. “You?”
I want crabs too but if his getting crabs, I don’t want crabs. “Uh, I’ll go with something octopus…”
“Really?” He moves a little on his seat. “I thought you like crabs.”
“How do you know…?” I paused, “never mind.”
We got our order and eat peacefully to ourselves. I really wanted the octopus. It pained me each time he slurps the crab soups while I ate mine. Although I can shrimp, octopus, and oysters together into a Korean Seafood Soup, I really want crabs.
“Can you let me… try yours?” I ask hoping, wishing he will allow.
