“Is sanjangnim serious about this? I mean,” Daesung paused, contemplating what to add in his sentence. “All at once?” He asked incredulously.

“I don’t know,” replied Taeyang while shaking his head in disbelief. He was staring at the ceiling while lying on CL’s lap on the floor.

“Sign of aging? Like come on! What kind of company’s president would do this?” Seungri exclaimed in frustration. “TOP hyung! What can you say about this?”

It took a few seconds before TOP answered him. “Well, hmmmm.” He pursed his lips to the side. “I’ve been wanting to tell the world about my Bommie so . . .” He shrugged.

“But all at once?” Minzy and Bom asked in unison.

“This is so unlike sanjangnim.” CL finished her chocolate drink.

“Aigoo! These kids! Just trust you CEO, ara?” Psy reprimanded them. He was getting tired with the topic that they’ve been talking for a week straight.

“Wae, Psy hyung? Aren’t you a bit baffled to this sudden decision of our president?” Tablo asked the man beside him on the couch. All Bigbang members, Psy, Tablo, Bom, Minzy and CL were chillin’ in one of the recording rooms in the YG building. Dara and Se7en went out to buy snacks for the group.

The Other Side.

That was what Yang Hyun Suk posted in his Instagram account that made the netizens, especially the YG stans went wild. Immediately after an hour after that post was seen, their CEO asked the presence of every member of the YG family in his office. They were all too chill when they entered, thinking the post might be the title of their YG family concert that was cooking. They got it wrong. The moment Yang Hyun Suk opened his mouth was the same moment their jaws fell on the floor.

YG will reveal all scandals every YG artist is into.

“Why would he do that? I really don’t get it.” Daesung let out a sigh again.

“We are so good at hiding but this-” Taeyang looked at CL above him.

“I don’t know.” CL replied. “What’s the point? Why are we revealing them in the first place? The world doesn’t know about the s we’re into. Why feed the gossipers and haters?” She turned to Bom and Minzy beside her.

“Aigoo! Don’t ask me anymore! My head hurts because of sanjangnim!” Bom buried her face on TOP’s shoulders.

“We’re having our comeback just a month from now and sanjangnim is going to reveal all the scandals a week from now.” Minzy looked so bothered and nervous that she began biting her newly polished nails. Courtesy of their leader, Lee Chaerin. “Our Blackjacks will be hurt. They’ve been waiting ages for our comeback and not scandals.”

CL gave a sympathetic to their maknae. She pulled her head and kissed her on the forehead. “Minji ah. Don’t worry. We’re here for each other.” She messed her hair. The maknae smiled back at the leader.

“Ottoke?” Bom gushed. “I’m so nervous!”

“Me too!” Seungri hugged Daesung at the back.

Psy and Tablo had been giving the guy on the right end of the couch some scrutinizing looks. He had been too quiet right from the start of the topic, not giving any comment. Not even bothered. Not even glancing at them. Plus, he was grinning like an idiot while tapping his cellphone.

“Yah Jiyong ah.” Psy called for his attention. “Why the hell do you keep on grinning there?”

But the dragon became deaf and continued his silliness on the phone.

“Jiyong.” Tablo nudged him at the arm lightly. Still, GD didn’t notice him.

Taeyang sat up from lying on CL’s lap. He creased his brows at his bestfriend who was just in front of him. What the hell? “Ji!” He shouted.

The dragon finally snapped out of it, lowered his cellphone and looked at the people staring back at him. “Mwo?”

“What are you doing?” Taeyang asked him.

“Oh. Me?” GD snorted. “Look.” And he showed the screen of his cellphone which they took a short peek. “Candy Crush Saga, baby.” He winked at them. “Aigoo! I never thought I would be this hooked at this kind of game.”

“We’re talking about sanjangnim’s The Other Side plan, Jiyong.” Bom rolled her eyes at him.

“Sincha?” GD tapped that Play button and resumed on playing. “So, what’s the problem?”

Silence.

A pillow flew on the dragon’s face that made his phone dropped on his lap. “Yah! Who did that?!” He glared at them and then fixed his eyes on Seungri. He took the pillow and threw it back to their maknae’s face. “You did it Panda, didn’t you?!”

“Owww!” Seungri wasn’t able to dodge it and was hit harshly on the face.

“Who told you to disrespect your leader?!” GD roared.

“What leader?” Tablo chuckled shortly. “You’re not even bothered with the plan of YG.”

“Why should I be?” GD asked the guy on his left with widened eyes.

“You should be because you’re the first one on the list of scandals that will be revealed! Pabo yah!” TOP shouted at him.

“Your marriage with Kiko ssi will be blown to everyone, leader-nim.” Seungri told him sarcastically.

GD put his phone at his pocket. “And the problem is?” He raised his brows at s.

“Are you serious?” Psy laughed for a bit with his answer.

“The problem is majority of VIPs do not like Kiko ssi for you.” TOP retorted back. “They will feel absolutely betrayed. You never confirm your relationship with her and now, this? Both of you will be subject to hateful comments.”

GD chuckled while frowning for a bit. “And? It’s not like I’m gonna divorce Kiko if my fans don’t like her. Come on.” GD turned serious. “Are we gonna follow their wants? And whom do they want for me? Dara noona? Are you serious? That’s my sister. Chaerin, here? Seungri? Hahahaha! I believe it’s the perfect plan. Let everything hit them at once. Let’s see how insane they could get.” GD smirked playfully.

“Oppa.” Minzy stared at him in surprise.

“What are you guys so concerned about? That people would hate us because of the so-called scandals of ours? Wait. Are they even scandals to begin with? Correct me if I’m wrong because in my opinion, a scandal is equal to an action that is considered as unethical or immoral. Wae? What have we done that is immoral?”

All of them stared at him in complete silence. Psy was about to say a word but GD began again.

“Marrying the one you love? I thought marriage is a sacred thing. TOP hyung and Bom noona in a relationship? Minzy and Daniel kissing? What’s wrong with loving someone? Hyun Suk hyung’s illegitimate son who was imprisoned? Just for one night? Reckless driving and he bumped at no one but a garbage can? Isn’t hyung doing his best to support his studies abroad and give him the fatherly love that he needs? What’s wrong with cursing someone who said nasty things and touched your thinking he could get every girl that he wants? I say Chaerin should have slammed his face on the table till it’s unrecognizable. Mithra hyung and Tukutz hyung? What’s wrong with punching someone who called your wives, ‘s’ right on your face? Mino two-timing? He already had broken up with the other girl but she just kept on assuming that he was not serious and they were still okay. Thunder busting a lip of a student? Hello? That was why she overdosed herself on different drugs.” GD exhaled sharply after his long statement. “Now tell me again,” His eyes piercing them. “What is the problem?”

Their mouths zipped and eyes wandered all over the room.

“You think fans will still accept us?” CL chuckled which was followed by the girls who began pushing each other playfully.

“May the best and loyal fans stay then.” GD smirked at her.

“It’s the family that is always important.” Psy grabbed his beer and drank.

“Ne.” They all agreed to their senior. The plan would set those involve free. The dragon was right. They did nothing wrong so, let it all blow to their faces.

Tablo just finished sending a text to Haru when he emptied his drink and told them news that he thought was really interesting. “I passed by the conference room a while ago. The big bosses were there and I heard their staff outside gossiping about something.”

“About YG’s plan? Are they against it?” Taeyang leaned forward to the Epik High member. “Wait, don’t they know?”

“Ani. I don’t know about that.” Tablo waved a hand at him. “I heard that Super Junior members bought shares in SMEnt. They said half of it was paid by Siwon ssi. And guess how much shares did they buy? 60%, baby! That was insane! I don’t know how they could do it. I mean, why would the stockholders let their shares be bought, right? Oh! The fruits of working in this industry at a young age.” Tablo was chuckling in amusement. “ELF Entertainment is on its way to dominate the SM Town.”

There was nothing but odd silence from them, especially to the girls. If this happened back then, they would be running towards their car and demanding those guys to treat them and play hard all night. If this happened back then. Now, they do not just care.

“What?” Tablo blinked his eyes at them innocently. “Did I say something wrong?” He turned to Psy which the latter gave him a short awkward nod. GD lowered his head to hide the triumphant grin that couldn’t seem to hide from his face. Asa! The sunbaenims did it! They are not his brothers for nothing. He thought.

“By the way Jiyong hyung,” Seungri sensed the tension around the room with just a name. Super Junior. “I talked to manager hyung yesterday and he mentioned something about your black cards.”

“Oh! Are you finally buying your dream house in Beverly Hills? I thought you wouldn’t pursue it ‘cause you think it isn’t practical,” asked Psy.

Even before GD could open his mouth, the panda replied for him. “Aniyo, Psy hyung.” Seungri gave their leader a suspicious look. “He said Jiyong hyung emptied his black cards and even some of his credit cards in just a couple of minutes last week.”

“MWOOOOO?!?!?!” They all shouted in shock. “Wae?!” Daesung spilt the beer from his mouth on Minzy’s lap which the latter hit him in disgust. Bom and TOP let go of each other quickly. What the hell did this guy do to his money?! They all thought.

“What did you do to it?” Taeyang asked in a frown.

“You went to another bank?” CL asked him then looked at Taeyang.

“You really did buy the house?!” Bom exclaimed in such disbelief. “Are you serious? Even Kiko ssi is against it.”

“No way. Even that mansion is the price of a king, it wouldn’t consume two of your black cards.” TOP eyed him in a dubious manner.

“Did you buy North Korea or something?” Seungri asked innocently. “What?” He turned to the others who were giving him a WTF look.

“Just spill it already!” CL gushed.

“No. I did not buy that mansion in Beverly Hills. No. I did not transfer to another bank. And hell no. Even Barack Obama wouldn’t be able to buy a portion of North Korea. Please Seungrat, you have a brain. Use it, will you?” GD gave the maknae a forced sarcastic smile. “I did it tooooooooo . . .” The dragon pursed his lips forward.

“Tooooooooo?” They were all anticipating for his answer and him delaying it just added to the suspense.

“Well, to . . .”

“What?” Taeyang hit him lightly on the knee.

“To save marine animals.”

No one moved. They were all just staring at him with brows knotted in the middle, eyes blinking and mouths opened widely.

“C-come again?” Psy used his left index finger to clear his ear. Yeah. There must be something wrong with his ears.

“I think I heard marine and animals?” Tablo looked at everyone while scratching his head and laughing at the silliness of the thought that G-Dragon would really use all his money . . . to save marine animals?

“Yeah. Me too.” Bom covered his mouth with a hand. She was also laughing like the others. “What is it Jiyong ah? We didn’t quite get-”

“I said, TO. SAVE. MA-RINE. A-NI-MALS.” GD enunciated every word in over exaggeration. Deep inside, he was laughing his of at their dumbfounded expression.

“Huh?” Amusement off. Confusion on. They were all staring at him like a student who was just informed that the world of Mathematics has letters to solve as well. If that wouldn’t confuse you, I don’t know what will.

GD was biting his cheeks from the inside to hide his laugh. “For starters, I think it’s a good investment. I’m sure my money is . . . safe in that . . . field. Of course, I trust the people there.” He looked at them one by one, feeling proud not to himself, but to each of them.

Truth is, GD was able to buy the 30% of YG shares that Candice had and was selling secretly. It was Heechul who told him that Candice was having huge financial problems. Her mother owned well-known pharmaceutical and architectural companies in the U.S. When she assumed position after leaving YG, all she wanted to do was get back at the people who caused her father’s death. That was what she kept on believing. She bought huge sum of shares from both top music industries at once. Her financial advisers warned her long time ago that withdrawing such amount of money would take toll on everything her grandfather founded but she didn’t listen. Now, she knew they were absolutely right. Candice decided to sell her shares discreetly; even Lee Soo Man didn’t have any idea. Heechul learned about all these from . . . well, his ever reliable connections. And here they were. On their way to set things right.

“And it’s good, right? Helping the animals?” GD nodded thoughtfully. “I mean, they deserve all the love and care from us, people. Who else would help them but we? It’s time for a change! I should step up and support him! I mean, them. Them . . . the marine animals, swimming freely in the crystal clear ocean and just wanting too see that sunlight. You guys feel me? It . . . it . . . you know,” He clutched his shirt where his heart is. “It feels so good to help them. Like, it’s warm and uhh, yeah, warm.” The Bigbang leader was dying inside from laughing too much. He was blabbering stuff and with the looks that everyone was giving him . . . It was epic!

Silence.

“O-okay.” Psy nodded hesitantly. “T-that was . . . i-inspiring, Jiyong.”

“Y-yeah. Heart . . .” CL looked at Psy then to GD. “Warming. Super.”

“Thanks guys.” GD grinned.

“I-I d-didn’t know you are . . . environmentalist?” Daesung smiled shortly still confused to what he just heard.

“Oh. That’s me, Dae. Nature protector.” Ottoke? This is too funny!

“So,” Taeyang paused. “What marine animals? Like the whole marine kingdom?” He chuckled shortly.

“Oh. Nope.” GD shook his head. “Just . . . one . . . hmmm. Specie in particular.” He nodded again.

“Sincha?” His bestfriend simply replied.

“It must be something cool!” Minzy suddenly blurted out. “Oppa, spending millions to it just means that it is a very rare one. Like it’s such a beautiful creature that it’s going extinct nowadays.”

“Ne!” Bom agreed. She raised her right hand on the air and waved it excitedly. “Oh! Oh! Dolphins?”

“Ani. That’s too girly, Bom noona.” Seungri shook his head at the Soulful Diva/ Corn Slayer. “It’s G Dragon that we’re talking about here.” The maknae then pointed a finger to their leader. “Great white shark! I’m right, right?”

“Hmmm. No.” GD shook his head.

“Blue whale!” Tablo exclaimed.

“Uhh. No.”

“Sea lions!” CL shouted.

“Nope.”

“Polar bears!” Psy grinned thinking it was it.

“What has bears got to do with this?” Minzy burst in laughter.

“Wae?” Psy asked innocently.

“Aniyo, Psy hyung.” The dragon laughed at the man beside him.

“Stingrays?” Daesung shouted too.

“Hmmm. Nah.”

“Penguins?” TOP blurted in all seriousness.

“That’s a bird!” Bom smacked him on the head.

“What?! A penguin is a bird? Since when?” TOP looked at his girlfriend incredulously which the latter gave him a ‘tch.’

“Just tell what is it. I’m having a headache already.” Tablo buried his face on his palms.

“Arasso. Arasso.” GD frowned while chuckling. “Give me your phone, Seungri. I’ll show it to you. Ppali. I have to go and meet president hyung.”

Seungri gave him his cell and the dragon tapped here and there. When he finished, he gave it back to Seungri and stood. “See you guys later.” And smirked playfully.

The rest went to Seungri’s side on the floor and leaned to his cellphone’s screen. Their eyes turned into tiny slits as their eyes were fixed on the image flashed on the mobile phone.
