Kiss Me Again

Min smiled and looked to the side when she saw a paper crane land delicately on her desk. She didn't even have to look over at the other row of desks beside her to know that he had been the one to send it flying to her. Upon opening up she saw the words, 'Meet me after class. Usual spot.' scribbled within it. Another smile snuck it's way onto her lips and without giving another thought, she lightly wiggled her finger and had the little crane fall apart into several pieces of torn paper.   "Am I going to have to cover for you again?" Harry whispered to her closely, stifling a laugh as he saw her roll her eyes and smile to herself knowingly.
  She turned and gave him a light playful shove to his arm. "As if I've ever needed you to."   Harry smiled, but quickly became serious. "You're Gryffindor. He's Slytherin. You should know better."   Min tipped her head slightly to the side and sighed in exasperation, her brows furrowing as she rubbed her temples in frustration. "Oh, not you too, Harry."   "Fine. Fine. I won't mention of it again."   "Thank you."    She went back to conversing with Harry, as she normally did whenever they were partnered up together in class. And on the other side, Draco couldn't help the seething feeling that built up as he watched Potter get closer and closer to Min. Surely he wasn't jealous. He was always confident when it came to Min's affections. But his possessiveness did always get the better of him, and that included his insecurities. He knew Min didn't like Potter. Surely he knew this was fact. And yet here were these thoughts. These damned thoughts seeping into every inch of his mind. Potter was everyone's hero. The chosen one. And Min had been his longtime crush and the object of his affections since he first laid eyes on her their first very first year at Hogwarts. So maybe it was the most rational thing for him to feel jealous at the thought that maybe Min would also one day choose Potter over him. That maybe she would come to her senses and pick someone from Gryffindor that matched her level instead of someone from Slytherin. Someone like him.   He hated these kinds of thoughts. As a Malfoy, he was always taught to have confidence, may it be an arrogant one or not. And to be proud as a pure-blooded Slytherin. But his feelings for Min, almost always made him doubt himself as a man and as a person worthy of her love. Though he would never outwardly show these things, he did still feel them.   Like everyone else, Draco was human.    Still fighting the impulse to run over and snatch her away, while of course punching Potter and devour those beautiful pouty lips of Min, Draco gritted his teeth and forced himself to turn away when he felt Crabbe nudge him from where he sat beside him. "What?" He growled with narrowed eyes, making Crabbe take a visible gulp in fear.   "Y-you're staring at the Gryffindor girl again," He practically stammered over himself when he finally spoke. Draco was always a serious person, but his demeanor became almost menacing whenever she was mentioned in some way he didn't appreciate. And though Crabbe's instinct told him otherwise, he couldn't help but be vocal about his dislike toward the girl and whatever kind of relationship it was that they had. She was from Gryffindor. A Natural born enemy to Slytherin.   Draco narrowed his eyes. "Why do you still act as if you don't know? Does it bother you that much?"   He took another visible gulp before he carefully replied, "Because I hope that maybe you'll come to your senses soon."   Draco scoffed, not ignoring the fact that Crabbe had deliberately not answered one of his questions, and followed it with a sigh whilst he turned his attention back and began to write in his journal. "Don't worry about it." His voice came out as if he were bored, but the underlying venom told Crabbe to stop talking to him about it.   Because no matter what his mind had already been made up.       ----------- ♦ ----------     No more than thirty minutes later and Min was making her way toward the Great Lake nearest the field on the West Wing toward Hagrid's hut. Being from two different houses, especially the two houses that couldn't despise one another more, Draco and Min realized early on that they needed to go to such lengths of finding a remote place not many people knew about, or at least didn't care about, to be alone. This location was one that they favored because it was close enough to the beginning brushes of the Dark Forest that no one dared to near. This time autumn, the blossoms were barely blooming, but still openly visible and bright in color.    Min slowly walked over to where she saw Draco standing, staring out straight into the distance. She always wondered what went on in that beautifully troubled mind of his,  what mysteries and secrets it held, but rarely asked out of fear of her seeming intrusive.   She smiled to herself, recalling all of their most intimate moments shared in
