Laughing to himself quietly, Kim Bum watched in amusement as Min began talking to one of the ducks while she squatted down to feed it some pieces of leftover bread that she had collected from the school's cafeteria.    Like usual, she wore a simple flower patterned sun-dress paired with a denim vest and classic converse. She was incredibly adorable, and as her long wavy hair swayed gently with the wind, Kim Bum couldn't come to terms with taking his eyes off of her for one second.   He never could help himself from enjoying her cute little antics and he was grateful for the fact that he could always witness them first hand. She probably hadn't even realized he was there yet, and to be honest, he preferred it that way. He enjoyed watching her act feely without having to withhold herself for anyone else's sake. In his mind Min was the most beautiful when she was being 100% herself.   Knowing her schedule, almost to a T, Bum made his way toward the canal after class, knowing that she would be there. About a year ago, Min had come across a baby duck on the side of the road. Badly injured, she made sure to take it home and helped him recover back to full health. When he got bigger, Min decided that it was time for him to be out in the real world and so she set him free in this very same place.  She never forgot him and it was obvious he never forgot her, because he always stayed there waiting for her visit.   He kept his eyes on her as he watched her stand up and give a little wave at the duck before making her way to Kim Bum's general direction. "You look cute," He beamed, making Min snap her head up in surprise to see him leaning against one of the large trees.   Giving a little snort, she shook her head and made her way towards him. "Don't you have anything better to do other than to stalk me all the way over here?"   "Nope. And even if I did, I'd still prefer this," He winked as he continued to set his eyes on her.   It had only been a little over a year and he was still smitten by her. He always made it a point to make it obvious how much he liked her, even going as far as telling her straightforwardly. He evoked several different kinds of reactions from her but his two favorites would had to be whenever she was embarrassed by it, resulting in her blushing, or whenever she felt burdened by it, resulting in her pouting cutely. A year ago, no one would've ever guessed that the great ladies man, Kim Bum, would find himself devoting his time to one girl. Nor would they had probably ever imagined he would be so candid about his feelings either. But there he was. And not only was he deeply in love with Min, but he made it a point to make his feelings known. He wanted to show her he was sincere, despite her thinking otherwise at the beginning. Luckily, slowly but surely, he felt she was coming around to accepting his feelings.   She scoffed. "So shameless."    To this he couldn't help but smile brightly at her, exposing his dimples as she came to stop in front of him. "What are you gonna do now? Want to go on a date?"   She rolled her eyes and started passed him before leaning down and grabbing her bag from the ground by the tree he was standing at. "As tempting as that sounds, I'm going to a job interview."   "Oh?" He began as he took her bag from her and placed it over his shoulder. "Where at?" She looked at him seriously to which he grinned. "You know I'll find out one way or another."   She gave a little groan and began moving ahead of him as they started down the sidewalk. "The coffee shop just a few blocks down."   "Went me to walk you?"    Min knew it wasn't really a question based on the fact that he was already tagging along side her as if she had already said yes. "Do I have a choice?"   He shook his head. "Not really."   "Then sure," She bit down on her lip, trying not to give away her nervous expression. "What's the worse that can happen?"       ----------- ♦ ----------       It wasn't unlike Min to be relaxed during interviews, but under the intense gaze of a certain someone who now sat at a lone table in the back of the room, across from her, Min couldn't seem to get her thoughts together as she tried to answer all of the questions as smoothly as possible.   "No need to be nervous," The young manager advised as he gave her a comforting smile and continued to look through her resume and job application.    Min nodded in an effort to relax herself, but when her eyes met Kim Bum's from across the room, Min couldn't help but feel the anxiety from before surging its way back up.   Wasn't he even remotely aware of the effects he had on her? This is the guy who had the entire female student body swooning by his mere presence, yet for some reason, for some reason unknown  to her, he had managed to stick by her side for the last year and a half completely oblivious to the fact that she found him to be just as charming. The act alone seemed ridiculous to her, so she would often wonder how it might look to everyone else looking in.   Every day he made it a habit to say something along the lines of affection and every day she would have to remind herself that it's just probably his casual and natural flirty attitude and that it didn't mean a thing. In the end, it wasn't like he was a bad guy, but she just couldn't allow herself to get the wrong impression or misunderstand his playful nature or good intentions. But then again, was he this way with all the girls, or was she special? Frustration crept in, because naturally thoughts like these were the ones that made things difficult for her.   So she always had to act like it didn't faze her, though she was pretty sure there were times he caught her off guard with his sweet words and attentive personality. But again, she couldn't think too highly of herself. Upon seeing him waiting for her by the canal earlier, Min had to remember to breathe in order to relax her nerves. Seeing him leaning against the tree, looking as handsome as he always did, made her heart pound against her chest.    She thought leaving for the interview would allow her poor heart to catch a break, but of course she should've known that he wouldn't make it that easy for her. Him tagging along shouldn't have come as a surprise to her, but again, it would've made more sense for him to finally come to his senses and allow her to leave.   "Well, Min, you seem to meet all of the qualifications," The young manager named Joon, began as he gathered all of the papers and set them into a folder in front of him.   Her eyes widened as she stared at him with a hopeful expression. "S-so, does that mean I have the job?"   "You're cute," Joon smiled before he continued, making Min blush slightly in response. "And even if you weren't, you would still get the job. We need someone who's efficient and good with customers. I think you'll do just fine." Min nodded and he stood up with Min following. "You'll start tomorrow at six. Make sure to come in thirty minutes before so you can get your uniform and we can discuss your scheduling hours."   "Thank you," She shook his hand gratefully. "I won't let you down."   To this he smiled. "I don't doubt that. Welcome to the team. See you tomorrow, Min." And with a little wink, her new manager was gone. Leaving Min with a wide smile and a not so amused Kim Bum who still managed to have his eyes on her.       ----------- ♦ ----------       "So again, what's the job for?" Bum asked for the third time after leaving the coffee shop. It was evident to anyone who saw him that he was unhappy with the fact that Min had scored a job with a manager who was way too interested in her for his own good. So in order to ease his mind, he needed to make sure her reason was good enough. At least in his mind.   "I need to save money," She said as she continued walking ahead of him.   Not good enough. "For what?"   Min casually shrugged. "Just to have."   He couldn't help but sigh and stop in his place. "For what, specifically?"   Min chuckled lightly as she turned to face him. "You're too curious for your own good. Why do you need to know?"   He cocked a brow and arrogantly placed his hands in his pocket. "I want to know what it is you need that I can't already provide you with."   At this she laughed. "Provide me with?"   He nodded. "You name it."   Min gave him a sly little grin. "A yacht."   "Alright," He said with ease. "Give me a few years. I'll make sure to use all of my savings on the finest yacht for you."   "You're so full of it," Min shook her head before turning to start down the block again.    "Am I?" He caught up with her, his voice becoming firm as he spoke. When it came to Min he would find a way to give her all of the stars in the sky if he could.   To this she her heel, her abrupt movement stopping him as he looked down at the small girl who now wore a straight expression. "I need a prom dress."   His brows creased. "Prom?"   She nodded. "Yeah."   To this, Kim Bum froze as he scrutinized her closely. "Did-did someone ask you already?"   Min didn't notice the change in his attitude and just shrugged. "Even if no one does, I'm still going. I want to enjoy our last year to the fullest. Including something as horrid as prom."'   "What makes you say prom is so horrible?"   "At least for girls it is," She stated before the two of them started walking again. "A whole days worth of getting ready for just a mere four hour event. Then to top it all off, after all the hard work, after all the high expectations, no one acknowledges you unless you look like a model." Kim Bum listened carefully as he heard Min speak about a girls worries when it came to prom. It spiked his curiosity to think that maybe Min was going through the exact same thing. "Some worry about their date, who may turn out to be just another sleaze ball, while others have to deal with getting stood up or having no date at all. As if we're not struggling with our self-esteem issues and insecurities enough as it is. To add on to that the pressures of nabbing a date beyond one's regular standards is even unreasonable. The idea of going alone is terrifying to some because of that."   "You make it sound like a nightmare," He laughed as he watched her speak passiona
