We Meet Again

Min took a swig of whiskey that the bartender had just placed on the surface in front of her. Setting the glass down after taking a shot, her eyes were intent on him where he stood at the opposite end of the bar nearest the pool tables. The bartender watched in amusement as he wiped down the counter. The small girl in front of him was drinking hard liqour without so much as flinching at the taste. But she was completely obvlivious to him and concentrated on the task at hand. She was about to order another drink when she saw movement in his direction. He was leaving, but she couldn't let him get away just yet. Not when she finally had him in her sights. Watching him grab his black coat and start for the door, the girl with shaggy pink short hair paid the tab and went on her way behind him, careful not to draw too much attention to herself. Cautiously, she exited the bar. The cold, brisk air nipped at her nose and she adjusted her own coat before starting forward. She hoped she hadn't lost him. Though she knew she couldn't have considering he had just literally walked outside a few short moments before her. She heaved a sigh when she looked around and ran her fingers through her hair in frustration. "Dammit." After everything she went through to find him, she was hoping and praying she really didn't lose him. In fact, she was confident she had him. Giving another sigh as she rubbed her hands harshly against her face, Min was fighting the urge to scream out in anger. It wasn't until she heard a voice that prevented her from doing so. "Looking for me?" Min turned and looked up in the direction from where the voice came. Slowly, a figure emerged from the darkness on the roof of the brick building she had just been in. From his voice alone, she knew that without a doubt it was him. But as the light from the single lamp post across the alley fell on him, she didn't have to look any further. Zico was his name and her target. A long-time bounty that was now
