It wasn't like any other morning by the time I got to school. I could sense it. Something was off. Something felt weird. It was in the way the murmuring in the halls seems to be going on longer than usual, more energetic than usual. As if people couldn't get whatever they were saying out fast enough. And I felt so out of the loop.

Just what the hell has everyone so excited?

Fate must've been enjoying her little inside joke, because just as I got to my locker my question was answered.

It was as if the world came to a stand-still when I saw him leaning up against my locker, arms crossed over his chest like he hadn't been gone for a year. Like if he hadn't ed up and abandoned me.

The silence that surrounded me couldn't have been any louder and I knew that without a doubt, every eye in the hall was directed right at us. I kept my own eyes on him, as his surprised ones found me. I bet seeing me now must've been a huge shock for him. Well, . I was in shock, too.

"Minyoung," he said softly, his voice still as low and as attractive as I remembered. He uncrossed his arms and pushed himself off his locker to walk over to me. I had almost forgotten how tall he was, in fact, I think he might have gotten taller while he was away. And a lot more fit as well. And damn it. Still just as handsome, if not more so. "I missed you."

But his words had the opposite effect than what he was actually expecting. Rage consumed me and all I saw was red. Without even thinking I let my body act on how I felt and the deafening sound of my hand smacking against his cheek echoed throughout the halls. If someone wasn't looking at us having our moment, we sure as hell got their attention now.

My breathing turned ragged and I could see the remorse through the stunned expression he wore. My eyes blurred with stinging tear
