"Oh . !" Kikwang cursed as he paced the white-washed halls of alabaster, the familiar smell of antiseptic and disinfectant, stimulating his senses and driving him further into anxiety. It was making it more real the longer he stood there, watching all kinds of people walk by, responding to the announcements over the PA system that were becoming more distant as his mind was clouded in nothing but agonizing bursts of nerves. "Stop cursing with me on the phone," His mother chastised calmly, understanding very well where he first and only son was coming from. She had been there before. It was long ago, but it still only seemed like yesterday to her. "Ma, I can't help it," Kikwang groaned as he finally found himself stopping to lean back against one of the white walls. She blurted in between pants. Kikwang's eyes softened upon seeing the sweat dripping from her forehead as her short dark hair was matted against her face. "Talking to my mom," He explained as he came to stand in front of her bed. Her brows knitted together and her eyes narrowed. "You think now is the time for that?" "But... I... You.." Kikwang was at a loss. Wasn't she the one who told him to call his mother so that she could rush over? Kikwangs eyes made contact with one of the nurses, who shook her head as if to say 'don't argue'. He looked back at her and apologized. "I'm sorry, baby." Hearing
