Chapter 16

- Confess Song -

    “Jaebum-hyung looks so down lately. Is there something wrong?” Jackson talked to Jinyoung while he was looking at Jaebum.

    “Yeah, he does.” JinYoung nodded in agreement as he was looking at Jaebum too.

    “I just found out the reason today.” Youngjae joined in.

    “What is it?” Jinyoung asked.

    “Eunbi-noona.” 

    “Eunbi-noona?” Yugyeom who happened to walk by heard and then he joined in as he heard Eunbi’s name.

    “Um. It looks like she doesn’t talk to him much these days.” Youngjae continued.

    “Really? She talks to me like usual though.” - Jackson

    “That is you. This is Jaebum-hyung.” Jinyoung pointed at Jackson. Jinyoung gathered all members except Jaebum who was talking to the manager.

    “I think there must be something happened between them that we don’t know.” Jinyoung stated.

    “Right! Now I remember. On the welcoming party day, it seemed like there was something between them.” Bambam mentioned what he saw.

    “Did you ask?” Mark asked.

    “I did, but he wouldn’t tell me.” Bambam shrugged.

    “Hyung You gotta ask him.” Yugyeom said.

    “Who?” - Mark

    “You should ask him.” 

    “Me?” Mark pointed at himself.

    Jackson lifted his hand then shook his head and said. “Though we ask him, he won’t say a thing.” 

    “Yeah, he would say nothing.” Youngjae agreed.

    “I agree to  that.” - Bambam

    “I think we should do something to make him say.” Jinyoung suggested.

    “What should we do?”

    “Come here.” Mark said and told everyone to get closer.

    “The plan is…”

    - Practice room -

    “Hyung! Hyung! Come here quickly!” Jinyoung ran out of the room to Jaebum.

    “What? What happened?” Jaebum saw in a hurry like this, it made him worried.

    “Youngjae and Jackson are fighting.”

    “They are always like that.”

    “No! This time is worse! You should go quickly.”

    “Okay!” Jaebum ran after Jinyoung quickly as he was so worried now.

    “Yah!! What the hell are you guys doing…” Jaebum opened the door and shouted. His voice got softer as he saw what they were doing.

    The room was dark, only a few light was turn on. 

    “Yah.. Yah.. What the heck? What are you guys playing?” Jaebum was so confused. Then the familiar music started.

    “What is this? What is going on here?” Jaebum was getting more confused.

    🎤Hundreds of confessions without success.

I feel so unconfident should I just go back.

I say I’ll confess for sure but it’s pointless with no actions in the end.

Can’t keep my head up in front of you. 🎤

    Jackson rapped while he came to dragged Jaebum into the room.

    “Yah. What are you doing?”

    Jaebum asked Jackson then Jinyoung came in.

    🎤I’m in love with you, why are these words so hard.

I keep hesitating to say over and over again. 🎤

    Jaebum chuckled and shook his head. He still did not get what they were doing.

    🎤Why is it so hard just to write a simple letter.

I keep writing and tearing it over and over again. 🎤

    They were acting like they did in the ‘confess song’ MV.

    🎤You may not feel the same way as I do.

I may never see you again, that’s what I’m afraid of.

Don’t have the courage to tell you.

    Jinyoung and Yugyeom hugged Jaebum’s shoulder from both sides. Jaebum scoffed at them and shoved them off.

    This was the peak of the show. It was Jaebum’s part, but Mark and Bambam were singing it together instead.

    Jaebum laughed at their voices and actions.

    🎤All day long I wait for your reply.

I keep writing and erasing to make sure there’s no mistake in my words.

I accidently say things that I don’t mean.🎤

    And Jaebum laughed out loud even more including other members ‘cause Youngjae was the one who rapped Bambam’s part, but Bambam pushed him away and rapped his part.

    🎤The dramatic lines that I practiced in front of the mirror.

    Jinyoung walked toward Jaebum as the next line was his, but Jaebum pointed his finger to Jinyoung and said.

    “What the heck are you guys doing?”

    Jaebum crossed him arms.

    “Confess song.” Jinyoung answered with a smile.

    “I know that it’s a confess song, but what are you doing?”

    jinyoung did not answer. He just smiled.

    “We just missed someone here, hyung.” Bambam ran to them.

    “Who?”

    “Eunbi-noona!” - Youngjae

    “Should we get Eunbi here?” - Mark

    “What…” - Jaebum

    “I think you fit the theme of the MV well, hyung.” - Yugyeom

    “Hyung, you should be in it.” - Jackson

    Jaebum was quiet.

    “Jaebum-ah Is there something you wanna tell us?” Mark hit Jaebum’s shoulder softly.

    “Hyung! Just tell us!” - Jackson

    “Do you think we don’t know?” - Jinyoung

    “Hyung and Eunbi-noona. What is going on?” - Bambam

    Everyone was staring at their leader. Jaebum sighed.

    “Alright. I give up.” Jaebum raised his both hands. He looked at the members and said.

    “I think I… I think I might like her… I mean Eunbi.” Jaebum scratched his head then looked away. His face was turning red.

    “Wooooo~”

    “A~~ hyung~~~”

    “Your face is so red!”

    And then Jaebum’s part came again.

    Everyone sang it and ran around the room. Mark was there and ruffled Jaebum’s hair.

    “Isn’t this your part? Should’t you sing it yourself?” Mark asked Jaebum with a smile. Jaebum chuckled and looked away sheepishly.
