There was he who stood in front of the display outside the shop. He was staring at the diamond ring on display. It had been a few months since I had noticed his presence. Every afternoon during lunch hour, he would passed by the shop to look at the diamond ring on the display. That item was our signature design and it was one of our most expensive jewelry in the shop. He never stepped in to enquired but only looked at it. I was curious about his action and would keep a lookout for him whenever it reached lunch hour.

One day, the ring was sold, he noticed that it was missing from the display and he came into the shop. I went over to serve him.

"May I know if you all still had the ring that was in the display yesterday?" while pointing to the display window. I explained to him that the ring was sold a few hours ago. He seemed to look sad and disappointed. He told me that the ring was her girlfriend favourite design and he understanded that this was the only piece that the shop had. He always hoped to buy it for her girlfriend as a surprise proposal gift but it was too expensive. Therefore, he tried very hard to save for it and hope that by the time he had the money, he could buy it for her. But now, the ring was gone. He could not hide his disappointment, however he thanked me before he left the shop. For then, I never see him again around the shop.

2 years later, I finally met him again. I was going to get a ice americano in a cafe and i caught sight of
