“You might want to go check on him. He’s been in there all afternoon.”

I heard Joonmyun’s voice from the other side of the door and I had half a mind to walk up to him and shove my fist down his throat for being such a blabbermouth but I decided I didn’t want to see anyone right now. Especially you.

The bedroom door creaked open but I didn’t bother to look who had entered. I knew it was you and it made me want to burry myself deeper under the duvet.

“Luhan, is there anything you want to tell me?”

Your voice is gentle, and it made me hold on tighter to my makeshift fortress.

“Luhan, look at me please.” You asked, gently tugging against the offensive material. “Luhan my love, come out, please.”

Perhaps it was the way you called me ‘love’ or how your tone wasn’t accusatory, that made me soften my hold on the duvet and allowed you to pull it off slightly, just enough for you to see my face.

“That’s better. I thought I’d have to get used to looking at a fluffy white bedspread instead of my boyfriend’s face. Now do you want to tell me what’s wrong?”

For an answer, I buried my face against your chest before shaking my head from side to side.

“Do you want anything to eat? It’s almost 4 and you haven’t had any lunch yet.”

I shook my head again, pulling you closer to me.

“Do you want to stay here for a while?”

I nodded.

You pulled the two of us in a more comfortable position, with your head resting on a pillow and mine against your chest.
“Do you want to sleep?”

I nodded once again.

You pulled the blanket closer to us, pulling me closer to you before humming a familiar tune as you ran you fingers against my hair, your steady breathing lulling me to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of our television. I was surprised to find us at the exact same position we were when I fell asleep.

“You stayed.” I said, sounding more like a question.

You nodded. “Feeling better?”

It was my turn to nod.

“Good. Let’s stay here for a while. I just want to cuddle.”

Well, since I mentioned it already, I think this is the best time for me to apologize for sometimes venting out my anger on you and my mood swings. I know that there are moments when you don’t understand how I’m feeling, and believe me, sometimes I don’t understand myself as well but even after all the times that I might have ended up shouting at you or pushing you away even if you we’re only trying to help, you still stood by me. You have been with me no matter what my state is, and I love that about you.  I love how you would always be patient with me, not minding that I just treated you like you’re just one of our maknaes, or how I would disrespect you. Thank you for understanding me and for never leaving my side despite the times when I would shut you out. Thank you for waiting for me instead of walking out. It was during those moments when I realized that I cannot let you go because there is no one in the world who will treat me the same way as you do. You are the only one.
