365 Reasons WhyI’m not a person who’s used to conveying my feelings through words, and neither am I used to people showing their affection to me through words so imagine my surprise when I first read that note you left on my bedside table after our first date.
I rubbed the sleep of my eyes as I got out of bed that morning. I couldn’t keep the smile off my face as I recalled the events that transpired last night. It was our first official date and things were going well during our date that I had somehow gathered enough courage to ask you to come over to my house for the night and we fell asleep talking.
I came to a halt when I spotted a yellow piece of paper placed on my bedside table.
‘I had fun last night. Thank you.’
I feel my smile widen as I gently folded the paper and tucked it safely in my pocket. It was hard to not to skip on my way to the kitchen but I was feeling particularly exalted.
I was about to grab myself something to eat when I spotted another note on the kitchen counter.
‘Sorry if I left before you woke up. Something came up and I didn’t have the heart to wake you.’
I couldn’t help but notice how neat your handwriting was; it reflected your personality a lot. I could feel myself falling in love with you more.
I spotted a piece of paper stuck on my refrigerator that wasn’t there the day before. Upon closer inspection, I found out that it was another note from you and that it was stuck on the fridge with a deer magnet. I couldn’t help but laugh.
‘You look so peaceful when you slept, beautiful as always.’
I could feel a blush creep up my face. You always knew how to make me blush like a high-school girl.
I was about to make myself a cup of coffee when I spotted another note stuck on one of the coffee mugs.
‘I know how you would always start your mornings with a cup of coffee. I hope it’s to your liking. J”
I vaguely remembered how you talked about your love for making coffee and that you had hoped to be a barista someday. I carefully took a sip. It tasted as good as it smelled and I couldn’t help but smile.
‘Don’t forget about your schedules for today. Do your best. Good luck Lulu. I love you. ♥’
I felt my heart beat quickened as I continued to gaze at the little heart you drew at the end.
“I see you’ve found the notes Minseok – hyung wrote. He made it very clear to everyone that no one was allowed to touch them. He even threatened manager hyung.” I looked up to see Joonmyun leaning against the kitchen counter, smiling at me gently. “He really loves you you know.” He added before turning around and leaving. I couldn’t have felt happier.
I guess that is what influenced me to write all these reasons. Each time you’d leave a note on top of drawer or slip it somewhere in between my things, you’d never fail to make me happy Minseok, even with your little notes. Have I ever told you that I kept them? Yes, Minseok, I still have them all. I kept all of those, all your notes with your love in them.
I’m not a person who’s used to conveying my feelings through words, and neither am I used to people showing their affection to me through words so imagine my surprise when I first read that note you left on my bedside table after our first date.
