"Dongwoo, calm down a little bit, will ya?" Sunggyu questioned, catching up to an excited Dongwoo who was running upstairs to their bedroom with a shopping bag full of items resting in his left hand. His right hand was steadily holding onto the rail that led upstairs.    Dongwoo stopped in his steps and turned around to look down at Sunggyu who was farther down the stairs than he was, a huge smile decoration his features, "I swear, I have a good feeling about this one, Gyu yah! I can feel it!" Dongwoo exclaimed happily, holding the little bag in his hand and running the rest of the way up the stairs. He finally reached their room and plopped into the bathroom threshold. He hopped over to the porcelain throne and immediately lifted the lid, getting a bit ahead of himself. He pulled one of the two boxes that he bought out of the plastic bag and held it in both hands, squealing with excitement.    Sunggyu laughed as he watched his boyfriend fiddle and wiggle around so much, so excited to test out his current theories about being pregnant, and trying a pregnancy test.    They had been married for about three years now. They married together in a small garden located on their college campus where they met after a mutual friend set them up for a blind date out on one of the campus's best restaurants. It was a small wedding full of supportive family members and only the closest of friends, only full of love and happiness as they were pronounced husband and husband.    And then after two and a half years of being married, they graduated college with bachelor degrees and new opportunities ahead of them in life. And while Sunggyu had been searching for a job with his chosen profession, Dongwoo proposed to Sunggyu, that they should become parents.    It was always Dongwoo's dream to have his own child. He absolutely adored children and never thought otherwise. One of his ultimate goals in life was to have his own baby and raise him or her with as much love as possible. Sunggyu knew this fact very well and also wanted kids just as much, so when Dongwoo brought it up about two months after graduating, Sunggyu of course said yes.    They had now been trying to get pregnant for six months with no luck, but this month, Dongwoo just felt different. He had this new attitude that would show up every now and then and it would seem totally random. Dongwoo was also known as a picky eater, so when all of the sudden he starts trying new foods and liking bizarre foods that he never liked in the first place, this rung a bell in the dinosaur-like male's mind.    "In all honesty Dongwoo yah, I do, too," Sunggyu stated with a sweet smile, his eyes scrunching up so much that his eyes seemed to disappear. He was just as excited as Dongwoo was if not more, "Now come on and take the tests!" he exclaimed.    "Okay," Dongwoo agreed. He looked down at the box and turned the item over, starting to read the instructions while searching for a wait time, "It says that it will take three to five minutes for the results to show up. Ugh! That's such a long time!" he exclaimed, ripping the box open to start right away as Sunggyu opened the second one and handed it to him to try both at the same time.    Sunggyu laughed as he watched Dongwoo's impatient and child-like manner. He too wanted to know, but he was willing to wait for the good news to arrive. He set a timer on his phone to alert them that the results would should up at the five minute mark. He waited patiently for Dongwoo to finish to start the timer.    Dongwoo finished applying to the tests and placed the plastic caps back onto the urine strips and set both carefully onto the counter as though they would shatter if he set them down too hard. Sunggyu started the timer.    Dongwoo jumped into Sunggyu's arms and hugged him tight, hoping and praying that the results would be positive. Sunggyu was a bit taken aback by surprise, but quickly embraced his husband and gave him a big bear hug.    The wait was agonizingly long as they waited for the timer on Sunggyu's phone to go off at five minutes, just to make sure it was completely done and they didn't check it early. It was dead quiet for those whole five minutes. That is, until the timer went off.    It was like an angelic sound that just lessened the burden of stress and impatience of waiting for both Dongwoo and Sunggyu. Sunggyu was the first to react by reaching over and turning off the alarm, and then he reached over to pick up both of the tests, smile wide on his face.    Dongwoo watched Sunggyu's expression intently, waiting for a smile or a frown, indicating whether or not he was pregnant.    Sunggyu's glowing and bright face that was once full of happiness and glee, slowly dropper lower into a dark, disappointed frown.    This was Dongwoo's answer and he sighed, "Negative," he stated, leaving Sunggyu's arms slowly.    Sunggyu nodded and looked back at Dongwoo. He shrugged and tossed both of the plastic pregnancy tests into the waste bin and returned back to Dongwoo to embrace him in another hug, "Hey, we can't give up though, okay? We have plenty of time to get pregnant, babe," he reassured Dongwoo. Dongwoo just nodded and stayed in Sunggyu's arms.    "I know," Dongwoo spoke, sounding the slightest bit disappointed, "We'll just have to keep trying until I'm pregnant," he sounded determined and promised himself to keep trying for their baby. He believed that there was a baby waiting for him.    ----------   It has now been two years, and they still were not pregnant.    With each negative pregnancy test, Dongwoo and Sunggyu's hopes of becoming pregnant fell further and further away from becoming a priority and rather become a reality that was never to be for them.    They had been making love more and more, becoming an occurrence every night in order for them to have a higher chance at getting pregnant. They had one last pregnancy test that they were saving for the next time they would test if they were pregnant or not, and they were testing every three months for a pregnancy.    Today was the day that they would take their final pregnancy test before giving up for a few years before trying again, because at this point, the whole ordeal was just stressing them out, making them disappointed, and ruining their love making.
