It’s been three months since So Min and Soo Bae got together. So far, their relationship gives both of them the excitement. Sweetness is present. They go out on a date whenever Soo Bae finds a way to sneak out from work, leaving his industrious secretary with all the work to be done.

Of course, Kim Hyun Joong doesn’t mind since he’s just a secretary. But aside from that, he loves what he’s doing even though his boss is a big pain in the a**

***********************************************

So Min was getting excited for that day. It was their fourth month celebration and she was wondering what they would do for that day. She got up from bed, washed up and prepared herself to go to work.

She received a call a week before from a couple who hired her for their wedding eight months from now. It’s hard for her to plan everything in such a short period of time. The couple said that they had a planner before, but they didn’t want her ideas so they decided to replace her for the last minute preparations. Good thing So Min was somewhat an expert and she also asked help from her closest friend and co-worker, Go Hye Rim.

“So what’s the happening?” Hye Rim asked So Min when she showed up in a café where they decided to meet.

“Happening?” So Min asked back trying to be innocent about the question.

“Don’t dare me, Jung So Min! I know it’s been exactly four months since you two got together. So what will happen later?”

“Can I take my seat first?”

Hye Rim sighed. “It’s obvious that you’re avoiding the question!”

“It’s because I don’t have any idea what will happen! He hasn’t called me yet!”

Hye Rim leaned on to her chair again. “That’s odd. These past three months, he tried his best to find your time together. And he’s always the one who surprises you for your monthly celebration.”

“I know,” So Min replied sadly. “Can we order first?” she asked avoiding the topic.

“Sure. What do you want?” Hye Rim asked as she stood up from her seat.

“Espresso. Decaffeinated.”

“Right away, ma’am,” Hye Rim said and walked to the counter to order.

******************************************

“Hi babe! I told you not to call me when I’m at work.”

Soo Bae was so busy talking to someone on his phone that he didn’t hear the continuous knocking on his office.

Hyun Joong opened the door to give his boss the newly sent letters from different writers. He accidentally heard the conversation Soo Bae was having on the other line.

‘Babe? That’s not what he and So Min call each other,’ he thought.

Soo Bae almost fell off from his chair when he saw Hyun Joong standing by the door. He turned his swivel chair around so that his back was facing his secretary. He cleared his throat and continued talking to whomever it was he was talking to. But he minimized his volume.

“Alright, babe. It’s time for your sweetheart to hang up. Work is waiting. I’ll see you tonight. Bye.”

Even though it was a softer voice that Soo Bae used, Hyun Joong still heard him.

Soo Bae turned his chair around to face him. He looked at him fiercely.

“I thought I clearly told all the employees to knock first before entering,” he said with anger.

“You also told us that if we didn’t hear any response after three or more knocks, we are free to enter as long as the door isn’t locked,” Hyun Joong snapped back quickly.

Soo Bae could only sit and not reply anymore. “Why are you here?” he asked to avoid the subject.

Hyun Joong walked to his table and put down the compiled letters.

“These are the new request letters we’ve received since yesterday and this morning.”

“So?” Soo Bae asked.

Hyun Joong shook his head. ‘Is he forgetting work? He’s been doing this for a long time and he’s asking me what—‘

He just sighed to avoid getting impatient. “You have to read them so that we’ll be able to separate those that we’re going to approve from those that we aren’t,” he explained calmly.

“Oh yes, yes, that’s right. I remember now,” Soo Bae replied without looking up at him. He’s now doing something on his phone. Maybe he was sending message to someone.

“That’s all, sir. Just call me if you’re done with the letters so that we could contact the writers to do their final editing for their works,” Hyun Joong said and began walking out.

“Wait a minute,” the boss said and stood up. Hyun Joong turned around again.

“Can you do me a favor?”

Thinking it was about work again, he just nodded at him. Soo Bae remained silent for a while until he finally said, “Go out with my girlfriend again tonight.”

“Excuse me?” he asked to clarify the sentence.

“It’s our fourth month celebration today and she’s asking me if I have any plans since I’ve been surprising her with my charms for our first three celebrations.”

Hyun Joong laughed quietly. “Am I your surprise for her today?” he asked with one brow raised.

“You agreed to it. There’s no turning back. This isn’t the first time you’re doing this, right? And you two seemed to be friends anyway. I’ll just text you the details later. Now, if you may excuse me,” he raised the letters that Hyun Joong just gave him. “I have a lot of work to do,” he continued.

Hyun joong just shrugged and closed the door when he wasoutside. He went inside his office and sat on his chair to continue working.
