MS: What subject are you really bad at?
Me: Everything.
MS: No seriously. LOL. I know you’re lazy & all, but what subject for real don’t you understand?
Me:... Math..
MS: What math are you in? ._.
Me:..... Calculus..
MS: HAHAHAHA. Even if that’s above grade level, you’re struggling in that?
Me: YEAH, NUMBERS AND I DON’T GET ALONG. THAT’S WHY I DON’T GET THIS WORKSHEET
MS: FaceTime me. I’ll help you.
I smiled. “AWH HOW CUTE <3” Youngjae said even louder. I forgot he was right there. I quickly cover the camera and call her and look in the mirror and fix my hair. She picks up.
“Yah.” She calls and I look at Youngjae, because I went to go change. He nods, and shoves me away. He open the camera and smiles, “Hey! Mark’s uh... getting some scratch paper!” Youngjae smiles. She nods, “Okay.” “I see you look at Mark alot.” He whispers over the camera. “you know, If there wasn’t this phone between us, I would’ve kicked you.” She rolled her eyes. He laughs. I grab scratch paper and a pencil and walk over to the desk. “It’s nice seeing you wear a white mask.” He says, eating some more ice cream. She laughs, “White is my style.” He laughs too, and I sit next to him.
“Hey.” I say calmly, even though my heart is racing and my stomach is flipping. “Yo.” She waves. I look at how she’s dressed in only a tank and has all her books opened in front of her. “ You’re younger than me & you can teach me this? What math are you in anyway?” I prop my head up using my arm. “Trig.” She says, doing her homework. Youngjae coughs and nearly spits out his ice cream. She looks at the camera and laughs. “HOW ARE YOU SO SMART?!” He stares at her. She shrugs, “Math & I click.” “Math? Uh.. I think you got the last two letters wrong. It ends with ‘r.k’, not ‘t.h.’” Youngjae smirks. I kick him and he runs off. “Yah. I know you like me Mark.” She crosses her arms over her chest. I immediately turn red, “PSSSH. YOU ARE TRIPPING GIRL..” “Haha, I know you don’t.” She smiles and continues doing her homework. I sigh in relief and look at the alien paper below me.
“Show me.” She says and I show her the first problem. She laughs, “It’s really not that hard.” I turn the camera back to me and frown. She laughs again. She scribbles something and turns the camera at what she wrote. She did the equation within a minute and I looked carefully at it. “My teacher said you use the quadratic formula though..” I say lightly, not wanting her to hear. She laughs. “It’s right here.” She points to this equation full of numbers. I scratch the back of my head, totally confused and she rolls her eyes while smiling. She turns the camera back to her and writes something else and shows me another formula for
