WALTZING on his GRAVE

HAEHYUK

ROMANCE, HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

PG-15

This is inspired by the music of Two Steps from Hell: Waltz of the Willows. Check out the side bar or the comment box for the link of the song since you need to listen to the music while you read this. It's important.

As the night struck twelve, when others seem to be sleeping on their beds, tucked in the comfort of their blankets and warm houses; there is one boy who have not rested yet and decided to go out in the breezy Halloween night.

Dressed in a furry coat, the boy slipped through the back door, shushing the curious dog, watching his every move.

He patted the dog's head before he finally slipped through the darkness, making the dog wondered where his master will be going this time of the night.

The boy then quietly stroll through the sidewalk, his feet exactly knows where its heading.

He then made a stop and turn to the right only to stop once again, meeting a dead end.

In front of the boy was a huge old and rusty metal gate which was covered with vines that crept through the years.

With a smile creep onto his face, he pushed the gate open, making a creaking sound from a rusty piece of metal as he goes.

He then walks his way inside, inviting himself freely without closing the gate since he needs to get back home before his mother finds him nowhere in his room.

The place was an open space for corpses as the boy let himself in inside an old graveyard.

Without any fear, the boy courageously stops in front of a certain grave, smiling as he took a sit across it and gently wipes the dirt accumulated on the name engraved on the stone.

"Visiting at this late hour again, Hae?"

The boy got startled at the sudden voice behind his back but when he turn around, he sighed in relief finding the one he was waiting and looking for.

He got up and dusted off his jeans and plastered a smile on his face, looking at Hyukjae whom he just met a couple of weeks ago at the same place here inside the graveyard.

He had lost his father just also the same time he met Hyukjae and while he and his mother mourned for their love one under the shade of a black umbrella; the ten year old boy noticed another boy, the same age as him, was leisurely sitting on top of a gravestone and didn't mind the coldness of the rain, dressed in a clean white button-down shirt and black pants. The other boy was also barefoot which clearly made Donghae fascinated to watch the other.

Soon when everybody left him and his mother, Donghae also left after he kissed his mother's cheek and run towards the boy and stops in front of him while he soak himself in the rain.

Now clearly staring at the other boy, Donghae noticed that the other wasn't soaked like he was already, just being a minute under the rain.

He wondered how it would be possible so he starts opening his mouth to speak but he choked on the rainwater making him cough aloud.

The boy then lifted up his head and shock stricken his face when their eyes met.

Donghae then find his eyes hollow and empty; like there was no life in him.

Donghae clear his throat to say what on in his mind but the boy asked a question to him which made him frown.

"Do you... see me?"

Before Donghae could reply back, his mother pulled him back to the tent where his father was now buried on the soft mud underground.

"Donghae, what do you think you're doing? Do you want to get sick like your father did? Don't do that again. Don't leave me, baby. Okay?"

Donghae nodded nonchalantly because his thoughts were now drifting off to the other boy he met. And when he tilted his head to look back at the spot where the other boy was earlier, he didn't see him anymore or anywhere inside the graveyard.

…|..|..|..|..|…

"You only reveal yourself at night, Hyukkie. You didn't want to see me during daylight."

A pout escaped on Donghae's lips, making the other boy chuckled in response.

"People might call you crazy if I do that, Hae. Besides, you should stop sneaking at this hour. It's dangerous out here."

Hyukjae crossed her skinny arms around his chest, ready to scold Donghae for being stubborn.

"I'm not going to do that, Hyukkie. I'm sorry."

A sigh then escaped from Hyukjae.

"I know." said Hyukjae. "You always do things on your own."

Donghae chuckled at Hyukjae's statement and took something out of his jacket.

"Hey Hyukkie, Jongwoon gave me a CD earlier. He said I should listen to it. I ripped it on my computer and transferred it to here because I would like to share it to you too."

After placing the small speaker on top of the gravestone, Donghae took Hyukjae's hand and pulled him close.

"Care for a dance?"

Hyukjae rolled his eyes but then nod his head in response and place his other hand on Donghae's shoulder.

Donghae then pressed the play button and a melody came out, making Hyukjae laugh and snort as they waltz around the grave--his grave to be exact--

"Your friend is very weird to give you a creepy song like this." He stated, still unable to control his laughter.

Donghae grinned. "Yeah, I thought so. But, it makes sense."

"Because it's Halloween?" Donghae nodded.

Hyukjae scoffed. "Thank goodness I'm dead."

Donghae then made a stop, shooting him a confused look in the eyes.

"You're not dead to me, Hyukkie. I still think you're alive and--"

"Hae," Hyukjae cupped Donghae's cheeks; interjecting the boy's speech. "Did I ever say thank you?"

There was a frown on Donghae's face. "N-no. But Hyukkie, I--"

"Thank you, because you're the first living person who took extra time to come and visit me."

Hyukkie--"

"Ssh," Hyukjae gently press his forefinger on Donghae's lips.

"I always look at those people who mourned watching their loved one buried on the ground and then visits them when they have time. I grew envy of those gravestones when they clean it and pray for their beloved in heaven. I watched them every single time and then, when I look at my own and see my hands pass through the stone, I cried in vain, hating the fact nobody cares about me anymore."

Soon, tears fall down from Hyukjae's eyes and he lean his head on Donghae's shoulder afterward.

"And then, you came along. You know, I was totally surprised when you visited me the next day and clean my grave after you placed a bunch of flowers atop your father's grave. I wanted you to see me but I hid myself."

"Why didn't you show up? I didn't sleep well because I couldn't stop thinking about you."

"You're sweet too." Hyukjae plastered a smile and gently pinch Donghae's cheeks.

"I don't know. You can say I was shy."

Donghae barked a laugh. "I didn't know that ghosts can still get shy--"

"Well, I do. Okay?" Hyukjae blushed and shot a punch on Donghae's stomach, making the latter yelp in pain.

"I know it didn't hurt you, Hae." Hyukjae pouted as Donghae acted as if he actually hit him when Donghae can only feel the coldness when he touched him.

"Yes, it did." Donghae smiled when Hyukjae pouted more.

"C'mon, let's take a seat." He then guided Hyukjae to sit on the matted ground beside his grave.

"Can you tell me now how did you die--I mean, it's okay if you still don't want to answer--"

"I don't exactly know how I died because it happened a very long time ago." Hyukjae hug his knees as he began and Donghae, took off his jacket and covers them both with it.

"But I... I remembered hearing too many voices calling my name over and over. Some were wailing beside me and keeps saying sorry again and again. I think I died in a crowded place."

"Well... you may be met an accident."

"Yeah," Hyukjae nod his head. "I had broken bones on my right leg and left arm."

Donghae shot him a surprise look. "H-how did you--"

"I checked my body."

"O-of course," Donghae gulped as his spine shivered in fear after imagining seeing Hyukjae's body broken on the floor and blood spitting out from his wounds...

Hyukjae then nudged Donghae. "Hey, did you just imagined--"

"N-no! I-I wasn't!" Donghae abruptly denied which made Hyukjae chuckled, seeing Donghae flustered.

"If you dare check my body, I will haunt you down." Hyukjae threatened half-joking and he made Donghae smiled.

"Okay. But I would like to see you going around and maybe, see you float inside my room." Donghae mischievously grin when Hyukjae pouts.

"You know that's not gonna happen." Hyukjae said; his face and tone saddened.

"I know," Donghae's head nods. "But, it would be cool to show you around town." he then look straight at Hyukjae’s eyes.

"Yeah, that would be cool." Hyukjae chimed, back to being cheerful as Donghae hates him when he's grumpy and negative.

Donghae's lips pursed a smile.

"Taking you out from your grave would be nice. That way, I can show you around." Donghae began teasing once again.

Hyukjae elbowed him on the side. "Yah! I told you--"

"I know, I know!" Hyukjae wrestled Donghae afterwards.

They continued with their small talks and chatter. They even continued waltzing around Hyukjae's grave another round before Donghae decided to bid goodnight with each other.

Hyukjae then walk Donghae to the gate.

"Thanks again, Hae."

"Don't mention it, Hyukkie. I had fun." Donghae smiled.

"Me too," Hyukjae replied, beaming.

Donghae then step across the border, the line between the graveyard and to the street back to the town when Hyukjae called him back and steps just centimeters away from the line.

Donghae turned back and shot a curious look at Hyukjae while he waits for the other to continue.

"I forgot to give you something." Hyukjae blushed as he said it.

Donghae then walk back, skipping and steps in the middle of the line.

"What is it?" Donghae asked, smiling wide.

"Close your eyes and don't open them until I say so."

Donghae smiled and shuts his eyes closed, highly anticipating Hyukjae's first gift for him.

"My eyes are shut close now, Hyukkie."

Hyukjae leaned closer to Donghae's face; checking if the latter was telling the truth or not.

When he saw that Donghae was telling the truth, he leaned even closer, that Hyukjae can feel Donghae's hot breath passing through his nose.

"Are you ready?" Hyukjae asked and after Donghae nodded, he swiftly place his cold, dry and pale lips on Donghae's warm, pink and glistening lips.

Hyukje then pull himself away, stepping two steps away from the line and told Donghae to open his eyes.

"Where is it, Hyukkie? I thought you're giving me something?" Donghae asked, looking confused as he thought Hyukjae would give something to him, like a thing.

"I did. I already did." Hyukjae answered with a smile.

"B-but I... I didn't received any--"

"You did." Hyukjae cut off. "Now, off you go." he shoo Donghae with his hands afterwards.

"You serious?" Donghae still asked but Hyukjae nodded and so he turned around and started walking away, though he walks in heavy, confused steps.

Even when Donghae gets back to his room and lay down on his bed, he still wondered what Hyukjae's gift from him.

Hyukjae, on the other hand, closes the gate once Donghae vanished into his sight and went back to his grave and find that Donghae left his mini speaker on top of his gravestone.

He began concentrating by closing his eyes and set his mind to be able to touch things and press the play button afterwards.

The music then started playing and he started dancing, twirling on his grave; enjoying the best Halloween night he and Donghae shared.

THE END.

A/N: I know it's not the best halloween fic I've ever done--actually, this is the first fic I ever did for the Halloween if I remembered it correctly. ^^

I also didn't want to make one but I just happened to be insipired upon listening to the song.

It may sound creepy but I do like listening to it. It made me feel relaxed (and sometimes sleepy :p)

Shoot me for updating!

Advance Halloween to you, guys~!

If you subscribe, upvote and comment down, it will definitely makes me happy~!

I like to share something for the Halloween too!

This was an inspired by Michelle Phan's halloween nail tutorial~!

I didn't do good in my first time since I used an old red nail polish for this and it was soooooooo thick.

Making this made me feel toxicated with the nail polishes but nonetheless, want to try remaking this style since I love getting my fingernails bloody. (WHAT?!)

I'm quite high tonight~! LOL

I researched about it and it was true that you'll get high when you inhale lots of nail polishes so be careful if you try this one.

I seemed fine except that I feel like there's something 'bad' trapped in my throat, making me cough.

Anyways, I did another long A/N on this update... I should go and make some more babies~! (reffering to my stories. >__^)

Thanks for reading~! ♥

Also, since I'm a Supernatural fan and my sister and I are Destiel (Dean and Castiel) fan~! enjoy~!
